Wiki Barnstar given for listing AfD at various WikiProjects
The Stub Barnstar | ||
In recognition of your tireless continued efforts to list AfD's at various WikiProjects. --Morenooso (talk) 22:17, 8 April 2010 (UTC) |
You have recently participated in discussion at an AFD for a broadcast station. I have recently posted the above topic on the talk page of the notability guideline for organizations and companies, to see if there is interest in adding language related to the notability of radio and TV broadcast stations to that guideline. Your input would be most welcome. Thanks. Edison (talk) 01:50, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
War of Ideas
Terrorism is political! Most Americans have a one dimensional view of how to use our power, i.e., through force and not persuasion. This article, though in need of further work, should remain and be built upon not summarily taken down because someone doesn't understand it or deems it unimportant. Winning the "war of ideas" IS a new concept that should be learned by more of our leaders. Winning the so-called "hearts and minds" is arguably more important than simply sending bombs.--Abdul Muhsi (talk) 16:29, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Abdul Muhsi

Are you a bot?
Every time I go to a deletion discussion I see your name, categorizing all sorts of AFDs. You do a lot of tedious work. Rin tin tin (talk) 13:50, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, I'm not a bot, just an editor that like to sort and categorize things. Twinkle greatly eases the tedium of deletion sorting. • Gene93k (talk) 20:19, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- Seconding this barnstar, per Rin tin tin. —Gordon P. Hemsley→✉ 19:28, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Request for restoration of Wiki Page - Paramahansa Srimat Swami Nigamananda Saraswati Dev
Hello,
we are the devotees of Paramahansa Srimat Swami Nigamananda Saraswati Dev, who is one of the most revered and beloved Gurus from India. Recently i found that his page "Paramahansa Srimat Swami Nigamananda Saraswati Dev" has been deleted from Wiki.
My sincier request to you and Wiki, to restore the page. If you have any concerns about the content on the page please let us know. If we have not provided necesssry references, then it may be due to our mistake, or we never found out that the page needs some kind of citation or something like that nature. But that does not diminish or falsify the information we provided about our GURU.
Please restore the page , and let us know what are the things you need to adhere to wiki's standards. Actually I am not a very technical person, but I will try to learn and fix those issues.

Vector skin
Since you have been the most devoted AfD sorter, I will say that if you want to go to the new "Vector" skin ("New features" link at top of page), you can now, since John Vandenberg fixed the tool (diff) by my request. You should be able to copy and paste the code from User:Gene93k/monobook.js into User:Gene93k/vector.js. Don't forget to hold Shift while clicking the Reload button after you make the change (to bypass your cache). Thanks! PleaseStand (talk) 20:37, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I tried it and it works. But it will take me some time to get used to the new skin. • Gene93k (talk) 23:34, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Discussion regarding deletion of page footytube
I am new to wikipedia and this is my first article. I believe that pretty much everything in the article had been referenced well from sources on the internet - I used Quantcast and Alexa for the site stats and linked.in and the about page to get the staff data. I also referenced The Guardian, and other reputable sources where appropriate, including mentions the site received in The Daily Telegraph (these are 2 of the biggest and most respected newspapers in the UK). And having been listed as one of the Top 25 football websites of 2009 in The Daily Telegraph (it came in at 15th), this surely asserts notability? The trivia could maybe do with some work - I got this mostly from the site forums - having spent the last 2 years as a member there I am pretty knowledgeable on the behind the scenes stuff that goes on. Any advice on how I can improve these references would be most appreciated! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Charliebaudry (talk • contribs) 04:32, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
I'm wondering why my Wikepidia page has been deleted. Ron Sharpe I would like to reactivate my page. Thanks, Ron

You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 01:35, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm still new here, curious about Eekster's jump to deleting the Spellfury Wiki before trying other steps.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Hi Gene93k I'm still new here, curious about Eekster's jump to deleting the Spellfury Wiki before trying other steps. User Eekster seems to be jumping right to deletion of the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spellfury Noticed in the deletion wiki "If the page can be improved, this should be solved through regular editing, rather than deletion." Would love your thoughts, he seems to be frustrating newcomers to wikipedia, could you look at the page and make sure I have enough references that prove notability for the webseries "Spellfury" ? I'm pretty sure I have, still new on wiki :) Showzampa (talk) 17:25, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Abuse of McGillis Page
WP:ADMINISTRATORABUSE
You are abusing your rights on wiki by libeling a living person using a Blog as a source on Darrin McGillis page please stop--98.242.241.252 (talk) 02:05, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- I have never edited the Darrin McGillis page. The page's edit history confirms this. All I did was note that the deletion debate was open on relevant lists. At this time I have no position on whether the page should be deleted or not. • Gene93k (talk) 03:13, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Greetings and request
Greetings Gene93k - I keep seeing your name at AfDs adding links to project pages etc. Could you please find the time to link the following: Peeping Tom (theatre company). I need to turn in. Cheers! --Technopat (talk) 23:35, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Don't bother - it's been non-admin deleted. Though I might get back to you if I decide to restore it, depends on deleting editor's response to my query. Cheers! --Technopat (talk) 08:45, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Additional comments needed
- Following a month-long process of multiple editors to have "Fictional history of Spider-Man" conform to Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction), one editor has objected and wishes for the article, which has been the subject of three deletion discussions, to remain as is.
- Alternately, the proposed new version appears at User:Spidey104/Fictional history of Spider-Man sandbox.
- Your input, as an editor involved in the deletion discussion, is invited at Talk:Fictional history of Spider-Man#Rewrite and replacement. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:23, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
