Citation deterioration on United States presidential elections in which the winner lost the popular vote
editYou made two types of edits which made citations worse on United States presidential elections in which the winner lost the popular vote:
- You changed from a {{cite web}} format to a plain external link format. While using the external link format is a minimalist means to providing a citation, the citation templates provide a consistent look & feel as well as an opportunity to provide additional information that one cannot provide with the external link format. In what is (IMHO) my extensive experience as a longtime Wikipedian & a former university reference librarian, citation templates are far superior to the external link format.
- Changing from https to http is a deterioration of the referring link protocol. In 2015, the WMF went through great effort to switch to roll-out HTTPS as the protocol to access Wikipedia. "... Wikipedia uses HTTPS and whenever possible uses HTTPS links ..." We have Bender the Bot whose main function is "to convert existing external links on Wikipedia, where ever possible, from HTTP to HTTP Secure (HTTPS), i.e. from an unencrypted to an encrypted transportion protocol." Changing an existing link from https to http is just wrong.
If I encounter edits making changes from citation templates to plain external links or from https to http, I perfunctorily revert those edits almost all the time. The only reason that I have not done that with United States presidential elections in which the winner lost the popular vote is because I see that you have done extensive other edits. Please fix the problems on that page that I have outlined above. In the future, if I encounter any edits from you on pages that I patrol with the two problems that I have noted above, I will perfunctorily revert those changes.
Restyling listed at Redirects for discussion
editAn editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Restyling. Since you had some involvement with the Restyling redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. MB 02:05, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
Parliament of Andalusia
editHi Geom. I understand what you are attempting to say, but I think you are mistaking political parties with parliamentary groups. Luz Belinda Rodríguez belongs to the group of Non-Inscrits, that's for sure, but she is a member of the Falange political party (there's no law or statute forbidding elected members from a party to defect/join another), so that's what is shown there. This can be reflected more accurately, though (specially considering the split within Adelante Andalucía today), so I'll make the pertinent edits to fix that. Cheers and thank you.
