Financial repression

Thanks for trying to improve and de-orphan Financial repression. I am afraid that quite a lot of it will need to be removed as it is copied verbatim from other sources. We can't really have an article where more than half of it is a quote. That leads to copyright problems. I am going to remove that and try to tidy it up however this not going to be easy. You have replaced one description of the subject with, what seems to me to be, a completely contradictory one. I am inclined to give your one rather more weight as the old one was entirely unsourced but I am not sure if there is anything in the old one to keep.

Anyway here are a couple of pointers for the future:

• Wiping out existing coverage and rewriting it as something completely different is not something to do lightly. It would be best to get a consensus on whether this is the right thing to do first.
• When de-orphaning articles it is best to link the subject from articles that actually refer to it in their body text. Adding it to a lot of "See also" sections is not an ideal approach, particularly if it is not completely obvious if they are relevant topics.

Hi Daniel,

I'm pretty new to Wikipedia and wasn't sure about what the policy was on something like a definition of a term like financial repression.

I actually have my own working definition of financial repression, which I'll substitute for Carmen's and Belen's.

And yes, the previous definition has nothing to do with financial repression as it has been defined by Shaw and McKinnon, etc. onwards.
