My block seems unclear

Request reason:

Speaking of that Educator57 account you blocked a few months ago, that isn’t me. The owner of the Educator57 account moved to a new house with a probably different IP address. I moved into a house with the same IP address Educator57 used so I definitely would need an unblock. I am definitely no Educator57 sockpuppet. Probably your CheckUsers made a bit of an error and thought I was a sockpuppet. Plus I don’t even know who Educator57 is in real life. All I know that person is the former owner of the house with the IP address I’m editing from!

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Checkuser data can be a lot more than just IP Addresses. I'm not sure how much Bbb23 would be able to comment on what data was used to implement this block. SQLQuery me! 03:56, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I was browsing Wikipedia during my daily contribution session and I decided to go to some random pages. I went scrolling randomly through the page and out of curiosity clicked on the "Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Educator57" page.

Yes, but how did you learn that it was the previous occupant of your home? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:25, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I found a piece of paper with a letter saying

To the new owners of this house, The writer of this letter is the former owner of the Educator57 account on Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy your new home and that you will like it and live a better life.

Regards, former owner of this home

I'm always amused by some of the clearly ridiculous excuses people come up with for their behaviour and expect experienced Wikipedia editors and admins to believe them. Go back to your original blocked account and make a request from there. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:49, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
