Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Go-SMRI", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Steve M (talk) 23:32, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

This is not a promotional page. This is an organization with in the data analytics market place who has innovated the tools and systems to capture data for business to use to further their business. This article explains who the company is, the history of their founding and why, and then shows credible sources highlighting the organization or founder which legitimizes SMIR. Decline reason:

What you are describing is exactly what we mean by promotional. See WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. Yamla (talk) 20:05, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Sports Management Research Institute, Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Help Needed For Proper Submission

edit

Hi,

We would really love to get our page published, but also want to make sure we are following all Wikipedia guidelines. Is there an editor that can connect with us to help us rework our submission? Or, do you have a service where we can pay an editor to work with us to help us get this published? We are happy to donate to Wikipedia or pay for help services.

Thanks for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Go-SMRI (talkcontribs)

@Go-SMRI: You need to disclose that you are paid on your user page. Also, usernames representing shared use are not allowed. Steve M (talk) 23:32, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
I would highly advise that you not pay someone to help with your submission, as they would then have a conflict of interest and be subject to the same paid editing disclosure policy that was mentioned earlier. Paying a third party or donating to Wikipedia will have no impact on the chances of an article about this topic being accepted.
Existing significant coverage from multiple reliable, third-party sources is required for a company to pass the inclusion criteria. Lack of sufficient independent coverage means this company isn't notable enough, and no amount of editing can overcome that. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 02:59, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
