Orphaned non-free image (Image:Kreator-Enemy of God-Revisited.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Kreator-Enemy of God-Revisited.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:54, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:Allshallperish_price.jpg
I haven't looked to far into it, but why was Image:Priceofexistence.jpg replaced by Image:Allshallperish_price.jpg? It really doesn't cause me much concern, though I tend to be a curious person. Cheers mate, ARandomHeretic 20:37, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Bleeding Through
Hey i noticed you nominated Bleeding Through for GA, however i think it's not quite ready.
- You should remove all the red links as they are an eye-sore.
- The lead contains more references than the body - information about the band forming needs references and statistics like "As This Is Love, This Is Murderous passed the 100,000 sales figure in the USA" definitely needs one. I could add {fact} tags so you get a rough idea where references would go but it will get quick-failed as a GA.
- A lot of the information is about who/where the band toured, you should add information on the critical reception of an album - include postive and negative comments, where it was reviewed (all Music Guide, Rolling Stone etc) and include quotes. (Reign in Blood as an example)
- References all need a retrieve date like the blabbermouth.net references do
- Remove wikilinks that add nothing to the article - [[Australia]
If you want more feedback just leave me a message. M3tal H3ad 14:40, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- A retrieve date refers to the date you accessed the reference (like today) - for web archive purposes, not the actually date the topic was made. For the Blabbermouth refs you should use the coding |date=(insert date here) and just use today for the retrieve date. Also consider having sub-headings under the biography section like 'Early years' and have the album titles as sub-headings and place the appropriate information under that section, like done in Slayer so it looks more organized. M3tal H3ad 07:05, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yea 'date' refers to the date it was created, and the line under mentions the retrieve date is used for internet archives, all web references should have one for archive purposes, just add |date= for the blabber refs. M3tal H3ad 10:07, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yep. M3tal H3ad 11:02, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's coming along nicely, goodjob. Although references should come after punctuation like ,[1] instead of [1],. You should also add the "band name" into the section that talks about the band's founding, short sections don't go well with reviewers. M3tal H3ad 07:58, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yep. M3tal H3ad 11:02, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Synthetic Generation.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Synthetic Generation.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:55, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:Vaticandemo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Vaticandemo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Unspecified source for Image:Berzerker(band).jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Berzerker(band).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:37, 23 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 09:37, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:Berzerkervideo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Berzerkervideo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 09:42, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Audioslave
I'm not really an Audioslave fan but if you want to improve the article and need aid, I'll help you. (Gothbag 11:08, 23 July 2007 (UTC))

Audioslave request
I'm sorry, but I don't really know much about Audioslave, if I did, I'd definately help you. As for your grammar, you write English very well. (Tigerghost 21:06, 22 July 2007 (UTC))
- I would be very glad to help you, as I like Audioslave also. But I do not like to give my e-mail to anyone (nothing personal) so if you would like you may paste it to the talk pge that you signed recently. And the previous person who signed this colomn, was very right from what I've seen you do use english grammer very well. Thank you for asking me for help. Skeeker [Talk] 01:04, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'd love to help you with the grammar and language part. My e-mail is bookworm13457@yahoo.com if you want to send what you have. Good luck with making this a featured article! RageGarden 02:24, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
All I've seen looks good, but when refering to the band it should be "their" rather than "its" because the band is the people not the name. It's a pain to try getting it to a featured article. I want to get the band Stavesacre as the featured article. Skeeker [Talk] 20:15, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
It all looks good you especially did a good job with sources. Do you like Guns N' Roses? If so User:Spebi & I started Wikipedia: WikiProject Guns N' Roses, and it would be nice for some help with it. I want to improve the As I Lay Dying (band) article very much and I will show you my work, like you are with Audioslave to me. Thank you for asking help from me by the way even though I am not helping much probably :) Skeeker [Talk] 02:59, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Bleeding Through
Ah, sorry, didn't mean to say neutrality issues. Now, the objectivity is fine. The only thing left is some word usage. The article is very flowery, and has a lot of over-the-top words, and some of them don't fit and or aren't correct, such as:
- " The formative steps would be taken under the banner of Breakneck in 1998..." also, the sentence kind of loses ground after the list of band members.
- " Line-up changes, witnessing the departure of Van Huss and the recruitment of Marc Jackson (Throwdown / Cold War) to cover bass whilst Tafolla reverted to guitar,[9] pushed the band into a sharper edged death metal feel and with that shift the new band name of Bleeding Through was duly adopted (after playing only one show as Breakneck[5]).[10]" should be reworded, as it's pretty blunt in current form. Could be "As the band witnessed various lineup changes, the departure of band member Van Huss and subsequent recruitment of Marc Jackson, they were pushed into a (sharper edged is NPOV) more conventional form of death metal." Also, what exactly was the change in sound?
- " Also, the addition of keyboard was quite odd for a metalcore act as it brought some black metal influences into the music" doesn't really need to say "was quite odd", kind of POV-ish, even if the sources do reference it as being "quite odd".
- The article needs some expansion. Sentences such as "After these two relatively unrecognized albums, Bleeding Through..." are pretty vague. When I read the article, I felt somewhat in the dark. The comprehensiveness needs to be increased more for depth and completeness.
- A general copyedit is needed. You may wish to contact the League of Copyeditors for some assistance.
These are some major points that should be addressed first before the article is re-nominated for GAC. NSR77 TC 21:15, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll help you out. One note, words that are all captilized in the reference section (Blabbermouth sources) need to be lower case, BLEEDING THROUGH - > Bleeding Through. M3tal H3ad 07:48, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- I was trying to clarify, it previously had "Some praised the" Who? names? who do they work for? So i guess it was the critics praising the album. You may also want to make a operate section for The Truth so every album has a section for better organization. M3tal H3ad 07:35, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi
If you have to ask me, the article is actually very satisfactory, compared to what I've seen it as before. I think now it should be able to pass the GA. (SUDUSER)85 06:21, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

I will try to help with the Audioslave article. By the way, how do you upload song samples onto Wikipedia and how do you listen to them? - Bagel7T's 02:19, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Chosen Few
I have nominated Chosen Few, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chosen Few. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Your copyedit request
On August 5, 2007, you made a request to the League of Copyeditors for a copyedit on Bleeding Through. Due to a heavy backlog and a shortage of copyeditors, we have been unable to act on your request in a timely manner, for which we aplogize. Since your request, this article has been subject to significant editing, and may no longer be a good candidate for copyediting by the League. If you still wish the League to copyedit this article, please review this article against our new criteria and follow the instructions on the Requests page. SYL revamping
Hey man, you're doing an extremely kickass job with the SYL article revamp. I was thinking that once you have the main article cleaned up and good to go, we could double team Devin Townsend's page as well. There's a good portion of it already written but a lot of info needs sourcing and I can't find much on Google myself, so let me know what's up and if you're willing to help out sometime. Two wikipedians on a mission are better than one, especially when that mission involves Townsend. —Vanishdoom (talk) 02:30, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Audioslave
Hey, I performed a copy-edit of Audioslave also trimming details which I thought were unsuitable for a band article. Audioslave is by far the longest article in the Alt Rock project, and for a band with such a short history that seems anomalous. I removed stuff like details about the videos, contests, cover songs etc. I also think the Solo Projects sections is unsuitable for the Audioslave article as it will anyway be covered in the members' pages. What say you? indopug (talk) 15:01, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, thats a common misconception about the dates. However, I wonder the importance of such accurate details in the long run; ten years from now, will it really matter on what date they announced the new album name? I think a lot of this article's length can be attributed to stuff like announcements from the band. ("In early March 2005, Audioslave announced that their follow-up album's recording was completed. In addition, the band also revealed six song titles, the first single, and the US release date. They were still considering which other six songs to put on the record, while mixing the album.") Yeah, I was gonna bring up the Radiohead members section too... I think any relevant bits from that section can easily be incorporated into the prose. indopug (talk) 20:21, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think the whole thing can go; I don't think there is anything noteworthy from a Audioslave standpoint. And no, sorry, I have no offline access to music magazines. What is Strapping Young Lad's City anyway? indopug (talk) 19:15, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm, thats a good point. Even then 330 words isn't much (a paragraph I guess); Audioslave (6 year history) shouldnt just be shorter by a paragraph than REM (20+ years)... I think Audioslave could be further trimmed by removing stuff like announcements dates ("On March 22, the band announced that they had set "Out of Exile" as the title of their new album, and launched a club tour, lasting from April 14 to May 20.") and stuff like that (the entire paragraph with the file-sharing piracy of "Civilian"). Even a lot of details like their tours and concerts can be stripped of their detail (I disagree with adding specific dates such as March 14, 2007; how is it better than just March 2007?), like the paragraph "On May 18, another free show followed... no one was injured seriously." seems trivial. The debut Letterman show para could be reduced too.
- On another note, I really appreciate you concern for an article that you've already sweated for to get to FA :). Too many editors I have seen who seem to think that their work is done once the little bronze star is obtained. indopug (talk) 04:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- I removed that Cochise bit on Letterman before I read your message properly :(, add it back in if you like. I think we've sorted pretty much everything with article except that awfully choppy and unreferenced paragraph that lists all those video-games in Revelations is it necessary to mention all if not any of those games/movies? The last para of Revelations where the two are taking pot-shots at each other can be condensed; maybe we should reduce it to a single line about the "Audioslave business" (which seems like the only new info there anyway) and attach it to the previous paragraph. I also resisted the temptation to remove "Audioslave and Rage can open for each other" but that quote is just too awesome :D indopug (talk) 19:31, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, reverted. indopug (talk) 19:38, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- Why? indopug (talk) 15:58, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oh sorry, I coulda sworn I replied to that (maybe some time-out thing happened). Anyway, what I wanted to say was I removed those bands because they weren't just the members' previous bands, they were in many cases largely one-off special-event supergroup type of projects; I didn't think those needed to be listed. As for Bad Radio being included in Pearl Jam, the same way here SG and Rage are listed. Yeah, you've done a good job cutting a lot of stuff out; I still need convincing on that video games paragraph though. :) indopug (talk) 04:18, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

- Looking at SYL right now, I'd say Musical Style section needs to be expanded upon, it doesn't really explain how the band sounds. Also add sound samples throughout (four or so), that really helps describe their sound. indopug (talk) 05:12, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I'm worried that Eagldyth's concerns at FAC haven't been resolved--she normally hides them under a banner once she's satisfied. Have you pinged her? Surprised nobody else has reviewed though. I'll be supporting now. indopug (talk) 20:16, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- LOL. indopug (talk) 15:01, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey I have a suggestion regarding the sources; you should go to each of the websites, check their "About us" sections, and paste the relevant information onto the FAC page. That way, reviewers get a clear idea about the "questionable" sources, and can maybe make a case for their reliability. Its a far-shot, but worth a try I think. indopug (talk) 12:56, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Add maybe some stuff about how the band is underground, and how a sense of humour/being funny is an important part of their image to the lead. indopug (talk) 11:21, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:Mille_Petrozza.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mille_Petrozza.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 19:32, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Diesirae-bandphoto.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Diesirae-bandphoto.jpg. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Proposed deletion of Fear of God (Demo)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Fear of God (Demo), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

Rock music WikiProject
I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Rock music WikiProject. There's alot of Rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few Rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 10:21, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:BleedingThroughDemo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:BleedingThroughDemo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:24, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Strapping Young Lad
Can you tell me why the article contains such statements as "City was released on February 11, 1997 and received highly favorable critical reception", which are actually POV? Whether an album has received "highly favourable" reception is subject to opinion. Since such statements are prevalent within the article, I'd just like you to know that once the article has been FA for three months, I intend to nominate it at WP:FAR due to these issues - thought I'd give you a heads up. LuciferMorgan (talk) 21:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I feel an FAR can be avoided as well - I prefer the option of simply not going there. I'll get back to you with my concerns in due course, and thanks very much for the courteous message. LuciferMorgan (talk) 22:13, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Audioslave-originalfire-musicvideo.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Audioslave-originalfire-musicvideo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 11:41, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Iniquity-mads-jesper-kraen-thomas.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Iniquity-mads-jesper-kraen-thomas.jpg.
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
Thank you. MBisanz talk 20:35, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Gocsa! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 144 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. heavy metal bands
Thank you for quality articles on heavy metal music and musicians, such as Audioslave, Strapping Young Lad, Bleeding Through and Fear Factory discography, for a clear user page, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
We miss you! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:03, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
The article Revel in Cremation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No references, no claim of notability, fails WP:NSONG and WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Richhoncho (talk) 14:56, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
