Cool trick: Type ~~~ then hit preview. Next try ~~~~. --mav
Interesting! re: Martin Amis, will update this with more information and books/dates. Also want to add a few other authors... Will Self is missing. -- Greg Godwin
Hi Greg and welcome - great to see somebody writing about experimental music and the Mego bunch. I've been wanting to get cracking on that sort of stuff myself for a good while now, but as I said on my user page, it seemed a bit silly to write about Merzbow when there was no entry on noise music. I guess that now you've written one, I've got no excuse - time to dust off those Otomo Yoshihide records and get typing! Keep up the good work and all that --Camembert
Hi Greg! Glad to see you're making yourself at home. Thanks for merging the two Nintendo GameCube articles; that's exactly what needed to be done. --Stephen Gilbert 12:06 Sep 24, 2002 (UTC)
Re: Zelda games, etc, I know what you mean. Take a look at the history of NiGHTS Into Dreams for some torturous work I had to do. I love fans, but I do wish they'd take a quick glance at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. :) --Stephen Gilbert 15:11 Sep 25, 2002 (UTC)
Greg, all of the music articles entered by 216.229.90.232 appear to be copyrighted material taken from other websites. I notice that you've made some edits to some of them; I'm afraid they'll have to be deleted. --Stephen Gilbert 16:08 Sep 25, 2002 (UTC)
Thats a shame, i'm not checking for copyright violations myself, maybe I should before I waste time editing. Cheers! Greg Godwin 16:24 Sep 25, 2002 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you can help supply a much-needed balance to articles relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict, which is lopsided toward pro-Israeli POV. I'm pro-Israeli myself, but the "other" point of view needs to be acknowledged.
About the "too many cooks" thing you mentioned in a Summary of one of your edits today: if there is an edit conflict, you can rescue your changes from the window at the bottom of the Edit Conflict page. Most old hands, such as myself, will back off if requested, so if you'd like a ten-minute pause or something just ask, okay? --Ed Poor 14:14 Sep 27, 2002 (UTC)
- I tend to be Pro-Palestinian personally, but I feel NPOV is absolutely critical to Wikipedia and that claims from both side must be evenly presented. Didn't realise I could rescue my changes, and I kept re-writing it. Thanks for the advice. Other biased articles must be corrected and both points of view published. I'm surprised it is lopsided towards Pro-Israel and not the other way around actually! - Greg Godwin 14:19 Sep 27, 2002 (UTC)
Thanks for working on Kim Deal, overwriting the copyright violation. You might've noticed I put a notice on Talk:Pixies -- hopefully, some others will help too :) -- Sam
Hi. I can't take the credit for the Will Self picture. I just moved it to the right and down a bit. You're right though! Mintguy 11:42 Dec 11, 2002 (UTC)
You may be right about musique concrete being experimental, though I think that Edgar Varese wrote music with some similarities - and he's probably classed as a classical composer. Perhaps mc should be listed under both? David Martland 09:31 Dec 19, 2002 (UTC)
Category:Wikipedians in New Zealand

Speedy deletion of Corpus Hermeticum (record label)
editA tag has been placed on Corpus Hermeticum (record label) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Toddst1 (talk) 12:16, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay
editThinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.
Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.
Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
