Edit for Hero Cycles
Ashish.t7 (talk) 05:59, 3 January 2018 (UTC) I have seen your message on my Talk Page. Couldn't really understand on violation of guidelines as I took content from web & also verified each detail from public source news etc. Please do suggest how can I make it better as I think without defining group structure, it gives incorrect view to reader.
- Ashish.t7 I suggest reading some of the links I included on your talk page as several parts of your edits such as "Hero’s inspiring journey is backed up by determination and dynamism of its top leadership, which flows down the line unceasingly." Make it sound like you are advertising for the company. Are you connected to Hero Cycles at all? Greyjoy talk 06:05, 3 January 2018 (UTC)
Harry Landers
Respectfully guessing that less is more. Gratuitous info about commonness of surname and meaning? Hoping to be less of a magpie myself -- if brave enough to attempt another Wiki edit. BTW, the Russian spelling came from the source cited by me, and not the obituary cited. Thank you. This is my first time composing a TALK PAGE message. 72.129.236.87 (talk) 06:43, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- 72.129.236.87, I should have explained my reasoning in the edit summary so my apologies for that. Yes, it was a "less is more" sort of thing, please feel free to keep editing as we can always use more contributors, and this is a good talk page message. Keep up the good work. Edit for Acts of the Apostles
I made edits on the page for Acts of the Apostles that featured original research and speculation. Prior to my edits the article suggested that the work is an answer to a theological question, while the Christian community has opposing beliefs. I agree my edits were not based on sound research, however I think the article should make it clear that the book is regarded highly within certain communities. Also, there seems to be a fair bit of assumption within the "researched" aspects of the article. The writer assumes features of ancient texts that are not present in the Gospels (e.g. the events are not necessarily chronological in Mark, have interval breaks in Luke, etc.). Forgive me if I am wrong, but many, if not all, of the "outright [contradictions]" can be explained very easily by somebody well versed in New Testament history and theology. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mv23z (talk • contribs) 10:38, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- Mv23z, I appreciate that you are attempting to improve Wikipedia. However Wikipedia has strict rules when it comes to original research, for these sort of edits you would require reliable sources. If you can find a reliable reference from somebody well versed in New Testament history and theology you are welcome to add it. You are also welcome to discuss these edit on the article's talk page. I hope this helps. Greyjoy talk 11:00, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
I see you recently accepted a pending change to January 26.
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.
Please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 01:46, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for letting me know Toddst1, I was unaware of the change. Will keep that in mind. Greyjoy talk 05:18, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

Nirav Modi
It is a confirmed source from various platforms which don't need to be cited, as far the resources has been confirmed, they have been collected from The Times of India and Mumbai Mirror. Revert the changes, and let the 2018 investigation be on topic. Rekonedth (talk) 10:48, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
- Rekonedth As per WP:RS "Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources", if you can find some of these reliable sources you are welcome to reference them with your edits. Until then controversial unsourced additions will be removed as per Wikipedia rules. Greyjoy talk 10:51, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
Greyjoy The source is a reliable and a near to perfect source as confirmed by the law officials as well as the CBI. They have confirmed that Nirav Modi has done the fraud and are looking into a further detailed published inquiry for the same. As for the media plus reliableness of the factual source goes, it has been taken into consideration that even the news, media, published magazines have unearthed the money laundering case against Nirav Modi. If you have any evidence which opposes the source, then please put that forward, in an order, for the same.Rekonedth (talk). —Preceding undated comment added 11:00, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
- Rekonedth I have no problem with the additions now that a source has been provided. The only issue I had was the additions without any references. I have also added a source for the article. Greyjoy talk 11:26, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
I think the problem has been resolved. Rekonedth (talk) 11:29, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

About KSFE's page
Hi
I have added some text to KSFE's wikipedia page in the History section and removed some part as well. It seems like you have removed it. While I accept that the part I added was not pertaining to the History section, it was factually true and relevant information nevertheless. Can it be added to a new section?
Disclosure: I work in KSFE.
Glancingcliffs (talk) 01:56, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- Glancingcliffs, unfortunately I had to remove a large amount of text from the article due to copyright violations. While the text you added was not a violation it was added in the middle of the copyrighted text so it was removed. If you want information added to the article I advise discussing it on the article's talk page as since you work in KSFE you have a conflict of interest. Greyjoy talk 10:41, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
For Britain
I notice that the For Britain page is contantly subject to slanderous comment by Wikipedia contributors. The party is - as declared - neither left nor right. If Wikipedia wishes to retain any credibility, then defamatory content must not be allowed to remain in situ. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mariuswaskilledbybarbarians (talk • contribs) 06:47, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
- Mariuswaskilledbybarbarians, if you believe that the content is an issue please discuss on the article's talk page. The removal of sourced information will most likely just be reverted. Greyjoy talk 06:50, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
- What they claim their position is and who they aim to represent is useful information, but what their actual effects, constituency, etc are is even more important. And that can only be based on WP:SECONDARY sources. As others have said, WP:RS is a pretty strong guideline that supports our WP:V policy. DMacks (talk) 06:51, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Dan Tatarsky
The article Daniel Tatarsky has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails to show notability as per WP:ENTERTAINER
- Cannot even remember doing this one: am I creating articles in my sleep
Ann Kirkpatrick
The text I deleted was misleading/wrong for the following reasons: 1. The first statement that "Kirkpatrick has proposed seven bills regarding veterans" is true. 2. The second statement that out of those 7 bills "five of which have passed" that's wrong. If you go to the govtrack website that is cited you'll see, if you filtered the sponsored bills to just those enacted, that only 3 bills she has ever introduced have passed. Out of those three only one is a veterans bill. Even if you consider bills that at least passed the House you'll see only 3 veterans bills are listed. Not to mention the wording "five of which have passed" is misleading as it fails to specify what chamber has it passed or if had been enacted. 3. The two numbered bills mentioned in the section to have been among the bills passed, never passed. One of those bills is not even listed on that cited page.
I won't delete the section again. But I will rewrite it to be more accurate and reflective of the information contained on the cited page. If you are not politically motivated and respectfully considered my arguments you will not undo my changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uadude1 (talk • contribs) 05:39, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Uadude1, Now that you have clearly explained the issues with the text you deleted I have no issue with your edits, appreciate you taking the time to lay it out point by point. Greyjoy talk 05:45, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Sarah McDaniel
If it were not for this alleged, and CONFIRMED FAKE!, heterochromia, sarah would have a page of its own? I do not think so, it's a girl like there are so many, and having eyes of a different color, and it's not her case !, it's not a talent or something that is enough to have a page of its own. Some people are so dumb to believe that the color of their eyes is real ... it is so obvious that they are COLORED CONTACT LENSES, and all the photos posted, including video, show it widely. I do not therefore understand why they are not valid as proofs, what is necessary, holy spirit? She is only a POSER who wants other people thinks “she's so different and beautiful”. No. In addition, it seems that she is also HOMOPHOBIC, which makes her a person even more false and unpleasant…! At last, it's interesting that there is linked her instagram profile, almost an invitation to follow her… However I repeat: how do you (referred to anyone) not understand from the things posted that she lies? And do not bring out the talk of montage and various crap. If even the words and images provided by his father aren't reliable, I do not know what you need... In addition to the fact that even in the photos not posted by him that IT'S OBVIOUS ALSO FOR A BLIND PERSON THAT SHE WEARS COLORED COSMETIC LENS. She's a pathological liar and will continue to lie.
Maybe I'm a bit bitter, but I am bothered by false people who claim to be what is not. It's simply ANNOYING!!
PS: I didn't find the discussion page you referred to.
Hoax11 (talk) 05:06, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
Now I found it and I read it, but in all honesty it seems to me a BIG BULLSH-1-T. Even the so-called "reliable sources" can sin of naivete, right? So since an "important" source says something, that thing is surely and unquestionably true? Please. I understand that maybe someone is "ashamed", or simply distrusts, from "non-canonical" sources, but why do they deny the evidence only because the evidences come from non-canonical sources? Again, please...
Hoax11 (talk) 05:28, 22 April 2018 (UTC)++
This source say that her eyes are hazel, therefore they may have SLIGHTLY cleared during growth (slightly, because they look like dark hazel/brown), but certainly she doesn't have heterochromia...!!! ---> http://archive.is/TbCti
Hoax11 (talk) 05:40, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
Maybe I could add this information WITHOUT DELETING those that I previously inserted, in consideration of the aforementioned.
Hoax11 (talk) 05:52, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hoax11, wikipedia relies on reliable sources and especially when it comes to biographies of living people, an edit as controversial as the one you are making needs to be discussed on the article's talk page first so a consensus can be reached. Greyjoy talk 11:00, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
Creating Official Wikipedia pages for Celebrities
Hello Greyjoy!
I would like to know what the process was to create an official wikipedia page for celebrities. Please advise.
Thank you,
LaWr123 (talk) 05:41, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
- LaWr123, I would advise creating a draft, that way you can slowly build up the article and people will know that it is still a work in progress. Information on how to create a draft can be found here. An outline of the process of building an article can be read here. I hope this helps. If you have any further questions just let me know. Greyjoy talk 05:50, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
Okay! So there’s no special portal to go through for celebrities? It’s the same as creating a page for anyone?
Thank you for answering so quickly — Preceding unsigned comment added by LaWr123 (talk • contribs) 16:20, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
- LaWr123, the process for creating the article is no different. However here is some information about Wikipedia's requirements for biographies of living people. Greyjoy talk 05:05, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
Thank you so much!
Hiroyuki Nishimura Edit
You have made a mistake in your succinct evaluation of my unfinished edit and I am gathering sources as I type this message for that article. I'm gathering links and to my knowledge, I can not yet provide screenshots in the form of uploaded images. The content of /b/ is too graphic to be linked to Wikipedia so I will link the /pol/-based content with the news articles and the people of Wikipedia can decide for themselves what to believe. I'm very aware of what I am doing and every word in my edit is the truth which is backed by actual, objective evidence which I can and will provide, thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Exposing4chan (talk • contribs) 06:55, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

Edits for Elgin School District U-46
Hi Greyjoy, Thank you so much for your notes. I'm the summer intern at the school district's communications department, and one of my projects is updating the wikipedia page. - First of all Joven salvaje, accusing people of being "fucking mad" is not welcome on Wikipedia. Continued unreferenced additions will be reverted. Greyjoy talk 06:07, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
Real birthdate is 1988 dude he said it himself in one interview ....u can check it out Joven salvaje (talk) 06:06, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- "in one interview" which you have not linked to is not a reliable source. Greyjoy talk 06:07, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
Not only one interview many times his birthdate is stated as 1988 in many newspaper articles mainly in times of india and bombay times u can check it out Joven salvaje (talk) 06:10, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Joven salvaje I would be happy to check it out, once a reference or link is provided. The reference provided in the article disagrees with 1988 being his birthdate, and so far it is the only reference that has been provided. If you can link to an article showing a different birthdate I would be happy to look into it.Greyjoy talk 06:17, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
I dont remember the exact date of that article ....but i am damn sure about this birthdate....it was clearly stated as 1988. Joven salvaje (talk) 06:19, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Joven salvaje Wikipedia requires reliable sources, an article you remember that is unable to be verified is not a reliable source. Greyjoy talk 06:21, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
Just search it on google the second article is there named "everything is falling into place" of mumbai mirror read it completely you will get my point Joven salvaje (talk) 06:23, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Help for uploading pictures
Hi I was wondering about the copyright on photos found around the internet. I looked at the Wikipedia Commons page about Upload Wizard but I wasn't sure about what photos were copyright. Am i just allowed to use any picture online if it has no labels about copyright? Also how do we tell if the content is older than 150 years?
I'm sorry if your not the right person to ask but I didn't know who else to ask or what articles to look at that cover this

Paolo Guerrero profile
Hi, I'm new at wiki, also my mother language is Spanish. I edited a line at Guerrero's profile, deleting the word "cocaine" of the sentence because Guerrero didn't give positive for ingest "cocaine", he gave a "adverse analytical result" as a result of contamination with coca tea. I'm pharmaceutical chemist and the terminology can be misinterpreted. All this you can check with official CAS, FIFA and WADA sources. Greetings. Xxvicsebxx (talk) 04:06, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- Xxvicsebxx, thank you for explaining why you removed "cocaine" from the article, however Wikipedia needs reliable sources for edits and the article has sourced references which state that he tested positive for cocaine. So that is why the cocaine was reintroduced to the article. Greyjoy talk 05:17, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

- 2604:2000:E010:1100:91B6:15E1:BB7C:A231, just had a quick glance through EggRoll97's edits and most of them are good contributions, not sure why they removed that specific name in the example you provided but it appears to be in good faith. Also EggRoll is well within their rights to remove comments from their user talk. Try to keep in mind that this appears to be a new-ish editor and perhaps taking a less accusatory tone would encourage them to reply to your messages. Greyjoy talk 12:35, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
I have attempted to make good contributions. As for the two reverts I made that were disagreed with, I have not contested them, as I can see the reverter's point, and I accept their logic. I am a new-ish editor, but I have been learning about Wikipedia for a while before I formally joined. I do not wish to cause any problems, nor do I wish to start an argument. I apologize if any of my current or future edits are wrong, and I invite anyone to revert them back if they believe I have made an error. I am a human, and I make mistakes, and I want those mistakes to be pointed out to me. Thank you. (Extra note: I didn't respond to the messages left on my talk page BECAUSE I didn't wish to cause the aforementioned conflict) EggRoll97 (talk) 12:40, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
Thanks and a question
Hi! This is super late but thanks for the welcome, much appreciated. I have a minor question on style/content - should most B/A/Good articles have at least one citation per paragraph? This is what I've been told, but articles like SDS-PAGE don't, especially in some of the more technical sections. originalmesshow u doin that busta rhyme? 09:03, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hello Originalmess. I don't have a lot of experience in the Good Article project but the general criteria can be found here. SDS-PAGE has one or two sections which could use a reference which may be why it isn't listed as a "good" article. Greyjoy talk 11:19, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

Edits on Kavithalayaa
Hi Greyjoy
Thank you for your explanation. I have been authorized by Kavithalayaa to make edits to the Wikipedia page. I removed the history intentionally as it doesn't capture much about the history of company and merely highlights some derogatory aspects which are factually inconsistent.
I will be updating the history with a much broader outline to present the company facts more accurately.

2011 Fire AMRI Hospitals
Hi Greyjoy. Thank you for letting me know about the changes.Kindly note that a page [[ https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=AMRI_hospital_fire&redirect=no]] was created and a merger was done. This page was again created, and information was added in a new page. The same user has been making the changes on this.
- Vrnthmsn, thank you for taking the time to explain. If you feel that the 2011 AMRI Hospital fire page is not needed (or should be merged with the AMRI Hospitals article) you should discuss this on the article's talk page, not blank the article. This new article is more in depth than the old one and deletions or merging should be discussed. Greyjoy talk 12:44, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi Greyjoy,
I made some changes to my wiki page today for personal privacy reasons. I'm experiencing great difficulty and upheaval in my personal life and needed to edit my page in order to deflect possible personal complications. With respect, please don't undo the changes that I have made. They were quite necessary and not in any way an attempt to denigrate or otherwise harm anyone Quite the opposite.
thank you, Barry Carl

Wellyn dowd (talk) 11:39, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- Wellyn dowd, Wikipedia uses information found in reliable sources so anything on Wikipedia is already easily found on the internet. That being said, half the information you removed was unreferenced and the other half doesn't seem largely notable enough to be included so I am happy to leave it removed from the page. However I can't speak on behalf of other editors who may disagree and reinstate the information you removed. Greyjoy talk 11:43, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Hello!
I appreciate your willingness to take time and educate me as a Wiki neophyte editor on the right way to add new page content. Please note your rejects of a link I tried to embed from another article was my very first attempt of that kind; and only the 2nd or 3rd for all time, as I use wikis to learn -not teach others about subjects. It just happened to be one very rare instance that got my attention and I happened to know the precise correct facts. No rule violation was intended and I hope any sanctions will be forgiven in view of my past record. TY again!CrissieLuckey (talk) 18:37, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi Greyjoy,
I did misinterpret the "d" as divorce and not death, but I noticed that while you were answering my post and so I ended up with a conflict when I tried to change the question. His wife did NOT die in 2003. HE died in 2003, so they were married until "his death in 2003" and I think that should be made clear. Because the way it stands, it looks like SHE died in 2003. In fact, she is very much alive and going on talk shows to talk about the new movie about his life.
But I wasn't able to figure out how to edit my talk so that it would come out after your response. I am very new to the Wiki editing game.

How to add details for a new company
Dear Greyjoy,
I am R.Sharma from India. There is a very popular mobile invitation app in Indian Market with name Instaphone. While searching instaphone on google, wikipedia shows it as Pakistani mobile communication company which actually does not exit now. That Pakistani company has been shut down long back. In India people are getting wrong information about their popular product. I suppose there needs to have some corrections. Pls suggest.
Thanks' R.Sharma Lines4raj (talk) 07:49, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- Lines4raj, if you wanted to create an app for the Indian app you would need to create a new article as the existing article is about the Pakistan company. Information on how to create an article can be found here, but make sure the app meets the notability requirements for software or it may be deleted. Greyjoy talk 08:29, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

About the page Neerav Bavlecha
Hi Greyjoy!! I'm Ninette. I'm a bit new to wikipedia but I do not believe in providing unreliable informatuon on such a platform. I Myself is a person who believes wikipedia is a platform of reliable informational. Pls be patient enough to read this whole msg and kindly reply to me. I saw that his date of birth and age was wrongly given on wiki. It was given as 16th aug 1986 which is wrong. Now why I tell it is wrong is bcoz I own a magazine in which his interview came and in it his age was given as 26( as of 2015). So practically his age shud be 29 now. That is why I changed the yaer of birth from 1986 to 1988. If u want u can search for Neerav Bavlecha's interview to Marhrubhoomi Star n Style and u will find the e-mag. I hope u understand. Try googling for it. And I seriously don't know how to add a citation or a proof as such. It will be grately appreciated if u wud tell me how to so that i can put up a citation( or u can do it aftr u come to know the truth). Regards, Ninette Catherine Ninette Catherine (talk) 12:10, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Ninette Catherine, I appreciate you taking the time to explain your edit. I had a look for the magazine however I was not able to find a copy online which I could use as a reference. If you have it on hand you can reference it using the reference style provided here, I hope this helps. If you have any problems with the reference let me know and I will see if I can help further. Greyjoy talk 12:40, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
Actually I am new to this wiki platform and I don't know java languaging. And u can't read an e-version of the star n style mag bcoz for reading u have to buy it first. I wish I could send u a pic of the mag I have in hand so that u wud believe me...!! Ninette Catherine (talk) 13:54, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
And I would like to know whether you removed the info abt his parents because of the same reason. I got the info from the same Mag 'Mathrubhoomi Star n style 2015'. And I would like to know why u did not delete his sister's name (Dimple Bavlecha) which was added by me.... Ninette Catherine (talk) 15:17, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Ninette Catherine I am unable to reference something if I can't read it to confirm it, if you are unable to reference the magazine then for now it will have to remain out of the article as Wikipedia requires verifiable sources. You are correct that I removed his parents name for the same reason, I missed his sister's name but that has now been removed. Greyjoy talk 05:14, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
Oh...okay. But I would love to know from u one last thing. Why didn't you remove the year of birth in the first case ( i mean, before i changed it to 1988 it was 1986 on wiki). Well I just wanted all the people who use wiki to know that his age is 29 and not 31 and that his year of birth is not 1986 but 1988. As I saw a wrong info on wiki, I thought of changing it to the correct info according to the paperback magazine I own. Thank u for replying to me patiently..! Ninette Catherine (talk) 06:59, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- Ninette Catherine I hadn't seen the previous year of birth until I noticed your edit, which is why I had not removed it previously. I am glad that I have been able to answer your questions. Greyjoy talk 07:02, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
How to fix error
HI Greyjoy - Sorry for any mistakes--I'm new at this. But I'm not sure why the page says it might be a fan page or something. I can't see what the specific problem is or how to fix it. Any advice very welcome.

- Areaman17, as explained on the article's talk page under the heading "Fan POV tag":
- "Recent large additions to this article contain a lot of puffery and promotional language. Please see WP:NPOV and WP:NOTPROMOTION, and please don't remove the tag until the issues have been addressed and there is a WP:CONSENSUS that the article is neutral."
- You can discuss this further on the talk page. Greyjoy talk 05:20, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
Soap&Skin
Hi, I'm trying to do a major edit/clean up of the Soap&Sin wikipedia page on behalf of the artist but I keep getting knocked back. Is there any advice you can give me that will enable the next time I try to update be successful ? thanks Wikwikwikiwiki (talk) 09:11, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
- Wikwikwikiwiki, the reason your edits are getting reverted is because your edits are unreferenced and promotional. If you are editing on behalf of the artist you also have a conflict of interest. Would I be right in saying that you previously edited the article under the user names Reviloneimak & SOLFO? Greyjoy talk 09:22, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
Hi, No, I haven't tried to edit Soap&Skin under any other names - that was most likely someone else in the team. We're not trying to promote anything - we're trying to get the facts out there. Is there a way we can do this? Thanks
- Wikwikwikiwiki the sockpuppet investigation cleared that you did not operate under those names so it is all good. You can discuss edits on the article's talk page to try and reach a consensus. I have to ask, when you say "someone else in the team", what team are you referring to? Greyjoy talk 11:52, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
Talk: Hector Camacho, Jr.
I am new to Wikipedia and learning. I tried to make some edits to the Hector Camacho, Jr. article, but you (Greyjoy) said that they needed citations. Hector Camacho, Jr. asked me to help him with the edits since there are several personal items in the article that are not true. Am I allowed to do the edits as long as I have a proper citation? If not, who can? I have never done anything on Wikipedia prior to this. I am not connected with the usernames you mentioned (for example, Reviloneimak, SOLFO, Dark Goldenrod). Thank you. Chabela7 (talk) 01:36, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- Chabela7, you are correct that the reason I reverted your edits is because they were unsourced. Wikipedia requires reliable sources for edits, especially in regards to biographies of living people. Because you know Hector Camacho, Jr. Wikipedia considers you to have a conflict of interests. The guide to conflicts of interest will have information on how you can suggest edits to the article. I hope this helps. Greyjoy talk 05:31, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- Also, at no point have I asked if you had any connection to other editors. That was in response to a different editor in regards to a completely separate matter. Greyjoy talk 05:33, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Nikolai was 100% Croat
You'd rather go with a fake article that reports lies because it follows Wiki's protocol than inquire and be a genius like I am. I never bought Nikolai's lies. Everything indiciates 100% croatian descent. HELLO? Ur article is garbage. Says his middle name is Nikolai, yet his obituary has his name as Josip H. Second his mother was Dragica Tomasevic, not Volkoff, another demonstratable lie. Also says his brother is Luka, when obituary only mentions brothers Tihomir and Ante. Luka may be a cousin. What else? Hes not the first one to make up lies about his background and u just buy it. Get out of here and go fix his article.
- I am sure a "genius" like yourself can understand Wikipedia's requirements for reliable sources. Greyjoy talk 07:09, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Mamamoo controversy snippet removal
Hello, I am a little confused about the situation in Mamamoo. I've demonstrated that the recently added snippet is incorrect and in conflict even with the referenced source itself. According to the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons policy, "All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be supported by an inline citation to a reliable, published source. Contentious material about living persons (or, in some cases, recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion.". Why is the default position to keep the newly added snippet pending discussion instead of the other way around?
You mentioned to "Wait for there to be a consensus reached on the article's talk page" – how exactly will this consensus be reached? If no one reacts to my concerns on the talk page, will the new demonstrably incorrect information stay up indefinitely?
Thank you.
- Ok so my reply to this will mostly take place on the article's talk page. However the short version is: These statements are supported by reliable published sources as per Wikipedia's requirements, which is why several editors have challenged the removal of the information without prior discussion. I will go into more detail in my reply on the talk page, however this may take a bit of time as I am not really at the computer at the moment. Greyjoy talk 10:52, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for the quick response. Yes, there is a reference to a reliable published source included. However, the content of the referenced source does not match what is presented in the article, which results in the snippet itself being "unsourced or poorly sourced", besides other concerns. Maybe I am interpreting the policy wrongly. If so, I will be waiting for your response on the article's talk page. Thank you.

Rollback granted
Hi Greyjoy. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! ~ Amory (u • t • c) 13:44, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

Hello greyjoy
I am writing about https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lampix&oldid=853852887 (owner being accused of fraudulent activities is no reason to delete an article). What is the correct approach? Should the article be left as is or edited in any way?
Thanks for upkeeping wikipedia!
- It might be worth mentioning in the article, but it is not cause to delete the entire article. I will have a look and possibly add a mention to the article. Greyjoy talk 11:27, 7 August 2018 (UTC)

Catacombs of Paris
As said previously: "relayed by MPAA", doesn't mean "provided by MPAA". The IGC (administration that manage the Parisian underground quarries) denied that this film has been shot on location. This fake information has only one purpose: promote the concerned movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.27.17.182 (talk) 13:55, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- 93.27.17.182 please discuss on the article's talk page and provide a reliable reference to support the removal of the referenced material. Greyjoy talk 14:48, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm afraid that it's against any logic. In a first time you have to prove a solid reference to add a content (not only a declaration from the one you promote), but not the contrary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.136.198.200 (talk) 17:18, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- The information was added with a reliable reference, additional references are listed on the article's talk page. If you are unable to provide reliable sources showing that the IGC denies these claim then you need to stop removing referenced information. Greyjoy talk 01:32, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
One again, this is the contrary. If you provide an official information proving that this film has really been shot in the catacombs of Paris, you may be able to add this content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.136.42.100 (talk) 08:50, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- And once again, there have been three sources provided which state that it was. You have been unable to provide any sources showing that it wasn't. Greyjoy talk 10:19, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
The "three sources" you mention are in reality only one: the declaration of the movie promoters. Please contact the IGC and see by yourself instead of repeating in circle the same non-valid argument. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.27.17.182 (talk) 13:14, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- I think you need to read up on Wikipedia's requirements for reliable sources, these are considered to be reliable references. You have been unable to provide a reliable source, Wikipedia does not base it's articles on "ring them and find out". If you are unable to provide a reliable reference the information will be re-added to the article. Greyjoy talk 14:24, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
The fact that you did not want to verify the information yourself and to find your mistake does not justify considering a simple statement as a valid source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.90.20.12 (talk) 15:19, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- As I have already stated above, Wikipedia does not consider "contact them and find out" a reliable source. Information posted on Wikipedia is required to meet Wikipedia's requirements. Greyjoy talk 00:52, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
In the same way Wikipedia is not there to promote film. And even less on the basis of false information. Instead, go to sites dedicated to the promotion of cinematographic works. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.136.85.178 (talk) 07:09, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for your Conflict of Interest message
Hi Greyjoy, Thanks for your message about a Conflict of Interest. I take it all on board, but note that I am not paid, and am a representative of the NZLSA national executive. I made the changes to reinstate how the Wikipedia page had been before a student went and deleted large amounts of information, which we rely on as an organisation because it provides institutional knowledge and recognition about our alumni. The information provided (people's names) is purely factual and so not influenced by my position on the executive.

AllMusic reviews
Hello, thanks for noticing my edits to certain jazz album articles. I have deleted some AllMusic reviews under the "Reception" section of the article. To me, the critical perspective from AllMusic seems one-sided and needs to be balanced with other views to represent the topic fairly. You pointed out fairly that AllMusic is a reliable source. However, having just one AllMusic review (on nearly all jazz pages!) doesn't seem to contribute usefully to the article and even appears a bit suspicious (promotion for AllMusic.com?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by AMendelssohn (talk • contribs) 03:34, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- AMendelssohn, some of these articles could definitely use some more references. If you wanted to find reliable references to add for these albums that would be great, but removing the existing AllMusic reviews is not the right approach to the situation. Greyjoy talk 03:39, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. Here's my concern: I read articles on jazz everyday and, in nearly every article, there is one AllMusic review, usually by the same critic. I suspect that AllMusic has edited all of these articles for the sake of promoting their brand. I appreciate your suggestion that I add more reliable references to offer a balanced perspective, but that wouldn't be an effective way to address this issue (since I couldn't research and edit such an enormous number of articles). If this is indeed brand promotion on a huge scale, what's the best way to deal with that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by AMendelssohn (talk • contribs) 03:55, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- AMendelssohn, it wouldn't be unusual for a critic to review multiple albums of the same genre, and it appears that these reviews were added by multiple editors so I am pretty skeptical of an AllMusic conspiracy. If you wanted to follow up on this you could always discuss it over at WikiProject Music. Greyjoy talk 04:01, 7 September 2018 (UTC)

Santiago Maldonado case
Hi, what I tried to do -and did some mistakes- in the article is to leave the Forced_disappearance section outside the Former hypothesis section, cause the case is on investigation, and under the guise of Forced disappearance followed by death; If you can read spanish there is a detailed article about this on the spanish Wikipedia, made by more than 20 users with experience on this site; what user Cambalachero - who as I can see is banned to participate in many spanish Wikipedia articles included the one of Maldonado- is trying to do is to make it look as a closed case and Maldonado's death as an accident, erasing all media information about the investigation to show only the version of a group who openly operated to guilt the victim by publishing fake news, some of them in the article as Former hypothesis (¿?). There is some users on the Talk page remarking this, but this person as owned the article, I dont know if he is connected to the case or why. Regards! --Agustin6 (talk) 16:28, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
