Proposed deletion of Bazaar Buzz

edit

The article Bazaar Buzz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The programme does not appear to meet the notability requirements of WP:GNG. The same goes for its producer Priya Singh Paul.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Priya Singh Paul

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Priya Singh Paul requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://web.archive.org/web/20161221090849/http://www.priyasinghpaul.com/about-1.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Hello, Happysoul22. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 13:42, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

In addition to what SpacemanSpiff said: The text of Priya Singh Paul was very promotional, since it was lifted from her own website. Wikipedia articles should be neutral in tone, and any fact that's likely to be challenged must be supported by a reliable source. That means that you will have to work on the text even if we can resolve the question of copyright violation.
Another thing I've noticed is that it looks like you use more than one account. Per Wikipedia:Sock puppetry users are expected to use only one account. Please choose one account and stick to it. It's especially important that you don't use different accounts to mislead other Wikipedia editors. E.g. using one account to remove a deletion tag from an article that you created with second account is not allowed by Wikipedia policy. Sjö (talk) 14:52, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Sjö:Sir, I have put all the reliable sources of the article I wrote and whatever write up was there in the website was written by me only and first I made the wiki page then I posted the same content in the website which was foolish on my part to do it, because of which all the copyright issues have happened but I have taken down the website and you can see www.priyasinghpaul.com url doesnot exist anymore. Please permit me to post the article.
We've had this discussion before and nothing has changed since then. It doesn't matter a bit that you have taken down the website. It doesn't matter if the text is online or not, or if it only ever existed in an offline medium like a book. Taken something off the Internet doesn't change its copyright status. If you want to use the text on Wikipedia read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted material and work from there. Sjö (talk) 16:10, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
