Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Hardware Break Fix

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Hardware Break Fix, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. It won't happen again I promise it is a mistake I have made

Decline reason:

This does not adequately address your violation of WP:PROMO, WP:COI, and WP:PAID, nor does it say what edits you intend to make now that you know you won't be permitted to, at this time, edit about your business. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:10, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi,
I am new here I didn't know until now I could make promotion edits. I have read the policy now I understand. It is my first time here sorry about this. I hope you understand.
When the article got decline I immediately tried to delete it because Wikipedia warned me.
If you could give me a chance as this issue will not happen again I have read the WP:PROMO, WP:COI and WP:PAID.
Can you change my username please thanks Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 09:34, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also, It won't happen again. As I am new. I will only make edits on articles that have mistakes and improve them. I won't create articles promoting business. Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 09:43, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I will write about reliable sources and suitable context next time and add citation. Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 10:44, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oh, A place of historical, cultural, or geographical significance. I hope that answers your question. Thanks Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 21:27, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
No. It's a simple question. Are you unable to answer it? --Yamla (talk) 21:29, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I did answer your question. The edits I will make will be based on historical or cultural. I am new here and I am still learning. I hope you understand. Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 21:38, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, you are free to make a new request. You should expect it to be declined, though, as you aren't willing to answer the question posed. WP:IDHT and WP:CIR would therefore apply. --Yamla (talk) 21:53, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I am willing to answer your question either I given you an answer or you don't make sense. At least say it differently please thanks Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 22:13, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry I didn't respond to you earlier in a satisfactory manner.
I intend to modify articles on subjects with which I have no personal affiliation and which fall within my areas of expertise if my ban is overturned.
I want to focus on the following issues in particular:
History and culture of my country/region of origin
Social issues and current events
I would ensure that my contributions are neutral, well-sourced, and in line with Wikipedia's guidelines. Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 09:16, 1 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I now understand that my earlier changes did not adhere to Wikipedia's values and guidelines, and I pledge to continue improving the website going forward. I intend to edit pages on subjects with which I have no personal affiliation, and I'll make sure that any edits I make are neutral, properly referenced, and in line with Wikipedia's rules.

I realise how crucial it is to write objectively and impartially, so from now on I won't be promoting Wikipedia, my own company.I will also make sure to follow Wikipedia's formatting and citation guidelines.
I would appreciate it if you could lift my ban so that I can start making positive contributions to the site once again. I am committed to learning from my mistakes. Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 08:21, 1 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Saying "I will fix Grammer issues" does not give me confidence that you should be trusted to fix spelling issues. 331dot (talk) 23:03, 17 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I apologize for any lack of clarity in my previous statement. To clarify, I understand that fixing grammar and spelling mistakes are both important aspects of maintaining the accuracy and credibility of content on Wikipedia. As such, I am committed to ensuring that any edits I make will be of the highest quality, and will always adhere to the relevant guidelines and policies outlined by the site.

  • I'm afraid anyone who can write "I will fix Grammer issues and spelling issues" and not mean it as a joke should absolutely not be trying to correct English grammar or spelling, and there are no two ways about it. JBW (talk) 22:53, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I completely agree. It's important for anyone offering to fix grammar and spelling issues to do so sincerely and competently. Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 23:58, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

is open. Is it sufficient? @NinjaRobotPirate and ScottishFinnishRadish:. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 21:48, 30 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing wrong with it, but it's mostly just a bunch of promises. Anyone can make promises. It would have been better to see something more concrete, like "If unblocked, I will add 'X' to article 'Y'." For example, I added some updates in this edit after I noticed the video game had been updated recently. I'm sure there are zillions of articles that need to be updated. Request reason:

I understand that I have been blocked for using my username as a company and attempting to promote on Wikipedia. By reading the policies and guidelines I understand that it is against the rules to use the company name as username and promoting is not allowed on the platform. I will never ever do this again. Moving forward, I am committed to making significant changes to my editing approach. I will ensure to thoroughly review and understand the guidelines and policies of Wikipedia before making any contributions. I will prioritize accuracy, neutrality, and reliability in my edits, adhering strictly to the principles upheld by the community. I will take the time to thoroughly research topics before making contributions, ensuring that I rely on reputable sources and avoid any potential conflicts of interest. I will also be vigilant in following the community's guidelines regarding proper citation and attribution. I have already explained what edits I tend to make on my talk page. Additionally, I will actively engage with other editors in a constructive manner, seeking consensus and resolving any potential disputes through respectful discussion. I am open to receiving feedback and guidance from experienced editors, as I believe their expertise can greatly contribute to my growth and development as a responsible contributor. In summary, I understand my past actions and the impact they had on the Wikipedia community. I genuinely apologize for any disruption caused. I am committed to selecting an appropriate username, contributing constructively, and abiding by the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia. Given the chance, I am determined to demonstrate a sincere and positive change in my approach to editing.

I would contribute to it if unblocked on Wikipedia I have identified the following articles that appear to be in need of updating and improvement I would like to focus on improving and expanding the following articles: "Effects of climate change on ecosystems" I can see that the article needs to be updated. I would contribute by updating this article with the latest scientific findings, case studies, and data regarding the effects of climate change on coastal ecosystems worldwide. I would ensure that the information is properly sourced from reputable scientific journals and organisations. "Energy Policy": There are countries on that page that need to be updated. This article would benefit from an update to reflect the latest regulations and initiatives in different countries. I would research and incorporate information on recent policy changes, government incentives, and the progress made towards renewable energy targets. These are the examples I can give you. I have found a page called "Category: All articles need copy editing." I can see that there are loads of articles that need copy editing. Hardwarebreakfix (talk) 13:23, 1 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
