Speedy deletion nomination of Dr George Chapman AO
editHello Harlowm,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Dr George Chapman AO for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

The kind of language that must be used in Wikipedia articles
editHi Harlowm, and thank you for your contribution to the Wikipedia project.
This about Dr George Chapman AO specifically, but also addresses broader concerns.
You might not have noticed this - and that's OK - but that that article had earlier been speedily deleted, because it looked looked more like press release than an encyclopedia article.
All Wikipedia articles must be written in an objective way that neither valourises or denigrates the subject. This very important in biographies of living people. They must be written responsibly, cautiously, and in a dispassionate tone, avoiding both understatement and overstatement.
I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I hope to be back on board later today.

Hello, Harlowm. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Anne Tiernan, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Anne Tiernan to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.
If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.
Thanks,
