Circular logic
In Grade II listed buildings in Brighton and Hove: E–H, the entry for 41 Grand Parade says "Many features of this house are similar to number 41 Grand Parade"... Isn't that, err... kinda redundant? Circéus (talk) 01:33, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Listed buildings in Poulton-le-Fylde
Hi, thanks for your comments at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Listed buildings in Poulton-le-Fylde/archive1. they were really helpful, especially the suggestions for additional text. Architecture is not something I know too much about (although I'm trying to learn more!) and I find it difficult sometimes to pick out the most relevant points of a listing, not to mention trying to reword it enough to avoid close paraphrasing and still have it make some kind of sense! I've addressed the points you raised and would very much appreciate it if you could look over the bits I've added to see if they make sense to you. Thanks, --BelovedFreak 11:33, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

DYK for List of places of worship in Horsham (district)
On 3 April 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article List of places of worship in Horsham (district), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that places of worship in the English district of Horsham include a mosque in a former Baptist chapel? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Another FL
Thanks for your review and support at FLC for List of churches preserved by the Churches Conservation Trust in the East of England. This has (at last) been promoted; a task made more difficult by the CCT completely changing its website in the middle of the process. Only one list left now to complete the set — your part of the world! --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 17:35, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
National Heritage List for England
Hope your break was good. Listed Buildings Online has "gone" and Heritage Gateway has changed all its URLs to incorporate the new list entry number. It's been spotted by others, see my talk page for more details. I feel that we have no choice but to continue using HG, as IoE gets more out of date. Is there a simple solution to life? --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 10:49, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Come to think of it, can we now use just English Heritage as publishers, rather than including all the promoters, or whatever they are? --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 11:04, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
Old Shoreham Toll Bridge Photograph
Hello Hassocks5489,
I am commissioned to write a book for railway modellers about civil engineering structures. I realise the above photograph has been placed in the Public Domain by your good self. Nevertheless, I feel it is a matter of courtesy to seek your formal permission to use the photograph. Please, therefore, may I have your permission to include it? I will, of course, provide a suitable attribution.
Incidentally, I worked for 30 years in the County Surveyors Department of West Sussex County Council and spent many happy hours inspecting the bridge both by boat and canoe. I am pleased to see that it has been renovated now, it is certainly a structure well worth preserving.
Best wishes.

You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000.
