Thanks
editThanks for policing Zhou Tong (archer). Whoever protected the page didn't do it properly. It took me nearly two years to get this page up to FA status, so I'm glad to see someone is trying to keep it that way.--Ghostexorcist 16:54, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of List of British Chinese people
editAn article that you have been involved in editing, List of British Chinese people, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of British Chinese people. It's a work in progress. I can't find many sources on dates of establishment, so I guess that reduces my motivation to work on the list. CloudNine 11:51, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
External link to ChinaTravelGuide.com on Hangzhou page
editHi, Hermant patel. I'd like to explain the above external link (it appears that you removed it from Hangzhou page). ChinaTravelGuide.com is a commercial-free site (compare with other travel wikis). Like wp, it's a wiki, and has also been reviewed by wp admin's and accepted as a qualified interwiki link. So I think it's a reasonable external link. I appreciate all your effort, and thank you for your time to make wp such a wonderful place. Pintogiants (talk) 18:14, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, could you please tell me where the admin accepted it as a qualified interwiki link thereby allowing it as an EL? Thanks. Hermant patel (talk) 00:59, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, Hermant Patel. I think ChinaTravelGuide.com is an interwiki, and a member of the mediawiki family (like wp) to promote the cooperation and proliferation of wikis and free content. I think it has surely been reviewed and passed rigorous check to become an interwiki in the first place. Also I think it is commercial-free (it looks like other travel wikis that you decide to keep as EL on articles is not). Many contributors on both English and Chinese versions of ChinaTravelGuide appear to be local travel enthusiasts. So it's not unreasonable to assume that they are more familiar with places in China. I still think it's a reasonable and relevant external link. I really thank you for volunteering your time to make wp such a wonderful place. Pintogiants (talk) 15:00, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

- Hi, Hermant Patel. I'm confused. I thought I already answered your question in very much detail. I believe ChinaTravelGuide is a qualified interwiki link. Its interwiki syntax is ChinaTravelGuide:Page Title (as you see on the original link of ChinaTravelGuide:Hangzhou). So I think you can look it up on interwiki map. If I misunderstood your question, can you please clarify your question? Pintogiants (talk) 04:52, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I was referring to your statement I put in bold in the first paragraph. Could I see the review please. Thanks. Hermant patel (talk) 15:53, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, Mr. Patel. My quick search on the interwiki map search shows it's at here Pintogiants (talk) 16:54, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Hong Kong British
editI understand that you have your own opinion about the article Hong Kong British, which you have deleted. However, you didn't try seeking other people's opinions on the article. It could have easily been renamed to something such as Hong Kong people in the United Kingdom, or something along those lines. I believe it was an important article to have, as the vast of Chinese people in the UK originate in Hong Kong, the UK-Hong Kong history anr relations are also extremely important. Today Hong Kong people (or Hongkongers) number over 100,000, and they come to study, live, work etc. I would appreciate if you would consider your deletion, and look for other opinions in the future. Notability of Danny Stamp
editHello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Danny Stamp, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Danny Stamp seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Danny Stamp, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of List of public health associations
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of public health associations, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Unmaintained list of organisations with no criteria for notability (see WP:NOTABILITY). List entries are not linked.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
