This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Xnee, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.gnu.org/software/xnee. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:56, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
I posted the following message to Talk:Xnee:
Copyright problem
editThe website which has the same material says "Verbatim copying and distribution of this entire article is permitted in any medium, provided this notice is preserved." I think that this license is not compatible with GFDL and Wikipedia; and anyway, the person who created the page didn't preserve that notice as required by that license. Besides, Wikipedia articles have to be free to be edited. So this will have to be deleted as a copyright violation ("copyleft violation"? :-). ☺ Coppertwig (talk) 17:17, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Copyright problems
editHello. Concerning your contribution, Xnee, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.gnu.org/software/xnee/. As a copyright violation, Xnee appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Xnee has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Xnee and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Xnee with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Xnee.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Sorry! But thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! Coppertwig (talk) 17:21, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

I have performed a web search with the contents of FSCONS, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.fsdaily.com/Community/Call_for_Participation_Free_Society_Conference_and_Nordic_Summit. Speedy deletion nomination of FSCONS
editA tag has been placed on FSCONS requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ╟─TreasuryTag►contribs─╢ 11:03, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Xnee
editI have nominated Xnee, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Xnee. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
