editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Baal Shem Tov has been reverted.
Your edit here to Baal Shem Tov was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjwJFC4wYPg&list=UUeNr6gwqin_7e_atjVnJcCQ&index=1&feature=plcp) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. edit Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Theodor Herzl do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.

Notice about conflict of interest
editHello, Hmabramson. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Henry Abramson, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. __meco (talk) 17:26, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Orangemike. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Golda Meir, because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:38, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Why your links to your own work were removed
editA perfectly reasonable question. The rule of thumb is is that we should not link to items in which we have a vested interest: articles by or about ourselves, lectures we have given, appearances by ourselves on television, and the like. The reasoning is that we are human and thus inclined to over-value the unique excellence of our own contributions in our fields, and thus to be inclined to paint ourselves as more important than we are. This is at the root of our cautions on autobiography, on conflict of interest, and on links (internal or external) to our own work. I hope this has made things clearer. If other editors familiar with Meir's life and work deem your lecture worth adding to the article, they will do so; likewise for all the other articles to which you added links to your own work. It is not your place to do so. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:20, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
- Do not think of this as in any way a deprecation of your work or scholarship. I only spotted the edits because I live in Goldie Mabowecz's old neighborhood and cherish her old political party, the Social Democratic Party of Milwaukee (now the Socialist Party U.S.A.); so I keep an eye on her article. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:32, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
