Proposed deletion of Armenians in the world by cities
editThe article Armenians in the world by cities has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced and quite trivial list, should be at best merged to Armenian diaspora, although unsourced material is not really welcome.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Victão Lopes I hear you... 02:27, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Northern Artsakh
editHello! I'm from russian Wikipedia. Can you load yor images about Northern Artsakh to Wikimedia? It's will be very good. Wiki93 10:14, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
We need help on the Duduk page. These people are removing Armenian origin of Duduk info, and putting Turkish origins, and even removing Armenian Traditional Duduk template from the page. Please help out. I think I have reverted a few time more. Please take a look at the history tab on top of Duduk page. Monlonet (talk) 21:10, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
The user grandmaster again removed the Duduk info linked with Armenians. He vandalized by removing our sources above where it said Armenian origins. Can you please revert his vandalism of our sources we provided. Please check the history tab of Duduk to see what Im saying more clear. Thanks. 76.237.11.155 (talk) 16:18, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Armenians in the United Kingdom
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Armenians in the United Kingdom, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 22:32, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- Good work on supplying a reference. I reworded your text since it was copied directly from the source without the use of quotation marks, which is a copyright violation and constitutes plagiarism. Good work though. Cordless Larry (talk) 23:23, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Armenians in the world by countries
editAs reviewing administrator, I am a little puzzled why you wish to delete the article. It seems ok to me,. I've removed the deletion tag in case it's an error, but I see no reason to remove it. Let me know what's what on my talk page. DGG ( talk ) 04:06, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- I was coming here to ask about the article, too; it looks decent. For the record, it looks like you've attempted deletion three times. I usually don't like to delete a reasonable article under G7 without asking the author first, so any reason for wanting the page deleted? JamieS93 14:42, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, done. :-) I didn't notice that you had already posted this, too. Best, JamieS93 14:52, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Jamie, and Hovik, I think the better way to have done this is by restoring the article, removing the unwanted material by editing, &then adding the new material. DGG ( talk ) 16:46, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, done. :-) I didn't notice that you had already posted this, too. Best, JamieS93 14:52, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of User:Hovik95
editHi, Dibilcon11, I've tagged your userpage for speedy deletion per Wikipedia:Protecting children's privacy. Please do not include details about your name, school, location, or age on your userpage if you create it again. Thanks, Cunard (talk) 23:47, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Armenian publishing
editA tag has been placed on Armenian publishing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 01:28, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Araks River
editPlease do not move articles away from their English language names, as you did with the Aras/Araks River. Get a little more experience before you start moving articles at all. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names). Wikipedia is not true or correct instead it is based on reliable sources. --Bejnar (talk) 21:34, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Demographics of Abkhazia
editHi, could you tell me why you added almost all of the Demographics of Abkhazia article to the Abkhazia article? As I understand things, the Abkhazia article should only contain a summary (like before), and if readers want to know more they can go to the Demographics of Abkhazia article. I'm going to revert your additions, but if you disagree you can revert back.
Also, about the map you added, did you actually create it yourself? Because I think I've seen it before, and I thought it was from a book published a couple of years ago. Are you the artist? sephia karta | di mi 09:21, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- I asked about the map because in the license you declared that you were the author. If you are not we alas cannot use that map. I made a map myself but don't have it here, I will add it when I have the opportunity.sephia karta | di mi 09:59, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
UN maps
editBe advised that the use of United Nations maps (see for example your edit adding UN map) without permission is a violation of their copyright interest. Simply saying that you are the author does not change the UN's copyright interest. --Bejnar (talk) 00:23, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Yerevan History Museum, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.yerevanhistorymuseum.info.am. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:57, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Copyright policy advisement regarding articles
editDear Hovik95, regarding your contribution, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from web sites or printed material without the express permission of the author or copyright holder. This article appears to be a direct copy from this URL: http://www.yerevanhistorymuseum.info.am As a copyright violation, the article has been deleted under the speedy deletion criteria.
If you choose to recreate the article, please ensure that the material is written in your own words. If you believe that using sentences from the source is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike License 3.0 (CC-BY-SA), then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at the talk page of the new article and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the CC-By-SA or compatible license or released into the public domain leave a note at the talk page of the new article with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material, you may either send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-By-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on the talk page of the article, or place a note releasing the material as above at the external site. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
Thank you. – Toon 17:20, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. You are free to create a new article at the same title, but please bear in mind that we cannot accept content taken from elsewhere without permission. If you create a new article, please use your own new text, not the stuff off the website which has a copyright notice at the bottom and no other release. Thanks, – Toon 18:41, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- I see you have been warned repeatedly about this. Please read and understand WP:COPYVIO. Copying and pasting from external websites which state "Commercial reproduction prohibited", as you did at Canadians of Armenian descent, is not permitted under Wikipedia policy. Second, if you would like to move a page, do not cut the content from one title and paste it to another; instead, use the requested move function. cab (talk) 00:23, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Vilayet of Sebastia
editWelcome, and thank you for contributing the page Vilayet of Sebastia to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. Please do not remove AfD tags from articles
editPlease do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. cab (talk) 00:06, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- And again, wapedia.mobi cannot be a reference for a Wikipedia article. It is a Wikipedia mirror. Please read and understand WP:CIRCULAR. cab (talk) 00:06, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. cab (talk) 00:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know which articles will be deleted. I know that many of the articles in the Armenian diaspora series are quite bad. Some can be fixed, but others can't. The ones that look like they cannot be fixed will be nominated for deletion at WP:AFD. Then other people (not just me) decide if it should be deleted or not.
- Articles need reliable, on-topic sources --- like for Armenians in country, X, you should find an entire book, a paper in a scholarly journal, etc., which writes at least several pages about them. Not just a data table which lists every country in the world and how many Armenians live there --- that is not a basis for an article. cab (talk) 00:38, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Capitals of Armenia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you believe that there is a reason to keep the redirect, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. philippE (talk) 19:31, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
proposed deletion
editProposed deletion of Northern Artsakh
editThe article Northern Artsakh has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Armenians in Crimea
editThe grammar is quite poor. The article needs someone with reasonably good English to improve it. Also, many sections are not cited, which they should be. - Biruitorul Talk 22:44, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- That's precisely the point; User:Hovhannesk seems to have trouble understanding that Category:Armenian politicians only refers to politicians from Armenia, not to all ethnic Armenian politicians, and that Category:Armenian people is redundant 99% of the time, being covered by subcategories like Category:Armenian Americans. By the way, I noticed you again uploaded copyrighted images at Armenian Heritage Park in Boston. You didn't take those pictures, did you? If not, they're going to be deleted... - Biruitorul Talk 14:44, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- Go here, get in touch with the people who own the copyright, and ask them for permission to use the images. Have them send their permission to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org . There's a certain message they need to send: see here, the section called "declaration of consent for all enquiries". But please, don't just upload pictures you find on the Internet - in most cases (unless they're very old, or produced by the US Federal government, or specifically licensed), they'll be deleted. - Biruitorul Talk 14:53, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- I suggest you forward their e-mail to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org, telling Commons you uploaded several photos and are now sending in evidence that you have permission to use them. - Biruitorul Talk 18:27, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:The City of Yerevan, 1827.gif
editThanks for uploading File:The City of Yerevan, 1827.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 18:20, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Urabatagirq.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Urabatagirq.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 18:20, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
Copyright problems with Gladzor University
editHello. Concerning your contribution, Gladzor University, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.gladzor.am/GladzorArm/hin%20nor%20Gladzor.htm. As a copyright violation, Gladzor University appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Gladzor University has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Gladzor University and send an email with the message to permissions-en wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) and CC-BY-SA, under CC-BY-SA, or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Gladzor University with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Gladzor University.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Andreas (T) 14:21, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Hovik, can you revert Rayneci's edits on Armenians page? He removed our culture and arts images, as you see this is vandalism. Page titles
editHi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Armenian printing houses a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Armenian printing. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Armenpress
editA tag has been placed on Armenpress requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 02:12, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Minor edits

Edits that add additional text such as this one that you made to the Peace of Amasya article are not minor edits. Minor edits are typo corrections, formatting and presentational changes, rearrangement of text without modification of content, et cetera, see Help:Minor edit. --Bejnar (talk) 01:10, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Blocked
editI have blocked you for a period of 55 hours for repeatedly creating copyright violations after countless warnings. Do not copy text from websites without permission, unless there is an explicit notice on the site that permits reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license. I spoke with you on 4 September about this issue, and you have continued to create copyright violations, most recently today with Armenian National Institute using text taken verbatim from http://www.armenian-genocide.org/mission.html, a site that explicitly forbids copy-pasting text from its website. You've also been given countless notices from CSB and other users. Please read Wikipedia's copyright policy and WP:COPYPASTE before creating any more articles. Violating copyright is a legal issue and editors who introduce violations repeatedly will be blocked. – Toon 16:44, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Could you please unblock me. I swear, if I would copy-paste one more time, block me indefinitely. Thank you. And sorry for that I wouldn't do it again.
Decline reason:
While you are blocked you will have time thoroughly to learn about the wikipedia policies which you have been ignoring. And yes, a further copy-paste violation may well result in a significantly longer block. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 19:41, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
(edit conflict)I was about to warn you about using an on-hold template, when another user undid it. My original message follows; Just to let you know, you placed the template on hold, which means that no one will be looking at it at all. It is intended to be used for when another Administrator decides to devote the time to looking into it, which is why the second spot is for a 'reviewing Administrator'. You would have more luck e-mailing him directly. Sodam Yat (talk) 19:36, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Conditional unblock
editOK, I've unblocked you following our conversations via email, on the understanding that you've read and fully understand the copyright policy and our non-free content criteria, and that you're not going to add copyright violating content to Wikipedia. This really is the last chance, so please be careful. I'm always happy to help out if you have any questions, just leave a message on my talk page. – Toon 20:57, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Birth place names
editThis issue came up on a football article and we got around it by adding both, as can be seen on the Asmir_Begovic article, he was Born in Trebinje, Yugoslavia later to become part of what is now Bosnia and Herzegovina. Covering all bases so to speak. An experienced editor did say that the name that it was when the person was born is the wiki way to do it, I found that by adding both all users were happy. Hope that helps. Off2riorob (talk) 21:49, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

speedy delete notification
editSpeedy deletion nomination of Armenians in the Republic of Macedonia
editYou may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Armenians in the Republic of Macedonia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Michael Johnson (talk) 23:35, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- Because when I reviewed the article it had no content that made sense. By the way you are not entitled to remove speedy delete tags from articles you create. You may put a holdon tag and argue your case on the talk page. Please note my tagging your article was not a comment on the article or it's suitability, just the state of the article when I tagged it. This is an administrative process, and so long as you follow the process, you should find things work out. --Michael Johnson (talk) 00:20, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Armenian_St._Karapet_church_Tbilisi.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Armenian_St._Karapet_church_Tbilisi.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 12:07, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

The article Bazmavep has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article about an Armenian periodical unlikely to expand beyond a stub. Can find little information on it.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. dmyersturnbull ⇒ talk 04:41, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Deletion nomination of Talk:Vank Cathedral, Tiflis
editHi Hovik95, this is a message from an automated bot, regarding Talk:Vank Cathedral, Tiflis. You blanked the page and, since you are its sole author, FrescoBot has interpreted it as a request for deletion of the page and asked administrators to satisfy the requests per speedy deletion criterion G7. Next time you want a page that you've created deleted, you can explicitly request the deletion by inserting the text {{db-author}}
. If you didn't want the page deleted, please remove the {{db-author}}
tag from the page and undo your blanking or put some content in the page. Admins are able to recover deleted pages. Please do not contact the bot operator for issues not related with bot's behaviour. To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=FrescoBot}}
somewhere on your talk page. -- FrescoBot (msg) 00:27, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
Request/question
editMay i ask for a bit of aid in Armenian -- as you appear to be some one competent. Could you please render for me in Armenian characters the name Karapet Muradkhanyan (i am now transliterating the name from Russian, as a matter of fact). And am i right in thinking that this surname is relatively rare amongst Armenians and is more common in the Turkic tribes (without the ending, of course; i know of ru:Гулиев, Ролан Мурадхан оглы)? I would also be very obliged to you if you could (if you have access to Armenian Encyclopedia or suchlike) check this name for any prominent figure in the Armenian Republic's government approximately in the 1950s (a minister or perhaps deputy minister). Thanks a lot. (Please reply here).Axxxion (talk) 14:39, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- The name Karapet Muradkhanyan in Armenian letters is: Կարապետ Մուրադխանյան. Yeah. it's first time I see that last mame, among Armenians. It is rare. No, unfortunately I don't have acces to Armenian Encyclopedia, because I live in the US.--Hovik95 (talk) 17:37, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Greater Armenia map
editHi! I like your Greater Armenia map, but I want to propose a couple of edits. Much appreciated.
- Use the Armenian name for Erzurum, which is Garin, and also the Armenian for Erzinjan, which is Yerznka. You could also write the current Turkish version in paranthesis.
- Are you sure Northern Artsakh is that big? According to a map I've uploaded (check my user page) the Northern Artsakh that Armenians claim does not touch the Georgian border.
- The correct way of naming Nakhchivan is Nakhichevan. The former is an attempt to Azerify the region's name, although Nakhichevan is still widely used.
- It could also be a good idea to show the location of a Nagorno-Karabakh city, for example the current capital Stepanakert, or Shushi. --Davo88 (talk) 00:38, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- I just saw the changes , thanks! --Davo88 (talk) 03:47, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Your uploads...
edit...or most of them, are up for deletion at Wikipedia:Possibly_unfree_files/2011_July_17#Photographs_by_Hovik95. You have stolen files from all over the web. I cant see any good with your contributions, I therefore blocked your account on Commons. Good bye. --Martin H. (talk) 22:27, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
