editHello, I'm This lousy T-shirt. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Classical music without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 08:32, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Chaheel Riens. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Stripper, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Jesus Davila Jr
editThe article Jesus Davila Jr has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WWGB (talk) 07:43, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

editHello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the Rape page, your edit caused a cite error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:33, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

editPlease do not add or change content, as you did at Great Lakes, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. JohnInDC (talk) 11:48, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Metro Detroit. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. JohnInDC (talk) 00:52, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- I appreciate your finding proper sources for your other edits. This one needs one too - not something that you have cobbled together. JohnInDC (talk) 00:52, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- I also appreciate that you do not like to see your work reverted, but I'm simply applying the basic Wikipedia tenet of WP:Verifiability. If you add a fact to an article that you've read somewhere, add the source (if it's a reliable one). There is not much more to it, other than don't yourself stitch together facts from reliable sources to arrive at your own conclusions. That's what this last note is about. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 01:27, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- You also need to be sure that the sources you provide actually support the thing you are claiming for them. For instance, the cite you added to Great Lakes does describe the megalopolis, but does not (anywhere I could see) rank it among the others in population. Likewise at Compton, California, while the source supports the raw number of murders during the period you cite, I don't see where it tallies the rate as a percentage of population. These things may be true - I don't know - but if they are you need to provide sources. (Lastly, just as a matter of tone, you should avoid language that sounds like it is intended to express a point of view; I think the Compton edit suffered a bit from that as well.) Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 01:43, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Dear Wikipedian, you recently voted in the ArbCom election. Your username, along with around 155 other usernames of your fellow Wikipedians, was randomly selected from the 2000+ Wikipedians who voted this year, with the help of one of the election-commissioners. If you are willing, could you please participate (at your option either on-wiki via userspace or off-wiki via email) in an exit poll, and answer some questions about how you decided amongst the ArbCom candidates?
If you decide to participate in this exit poll, the statistical results will be published in the Signpost, an online newspaper with over 1000 Wikipedians among the readership. There are about twelve questions, which have alphanumerical answers; it should take you a few minutes to complete the exit poll questionnaire, and will help improve Wikipedia by giving future candidates information about what you think is important. This is only an unofficial survey, and will have no impact on your actual vote during this election, nor in any future election.
All questions are individually optional, and this entire exit poll itself is also entirely optional, though if you choose not to participate, I would appreciate a brief reply indicating why you decided not to take part (see Question Zero). Thanks for being a Wikipedian
The questionnaire
editDear Wikipedian, please fill out these questions -- at your option via usertalk or via email, see Detailed Instructions at the end of the twelve questions -- by putting the appropriate answer in the blanks provided. If you decide not to answer a question (all questions are optional), please put the reason down: "undecided" / "private information" / "prefer not to answer" / "question is not well-posed" / "other: please specify". Although the Signpost cannot guarantee that complex answers can be processed for publication, it will help us improve future exit polls, if you give us comments about why you could not answer specific questions.

Processing of responses will be performed in batches of ten, prior to publication in the Signpost. GamerPro64 will be processing the email-based answers, and will strive to maintain the privacy of your answers (as well as your email address and the associated IP address typically found in the email-headers), though of course as a volunteer effort, we cannot legally guarantee that GamerPro64 will have a system free from computer virii, we cannot legally guarantee that GamerPro64 will resist hypothetical bribes offered by the KGB/NSA/MI6 to reveal your secrets, and we cannot legally guarantee that GamerPro64 will make no mistakes. If you choose to answer on-wiki, your answers will be visible to other Wikipedians. If you choose to answer via email, your answers will be sent unencrypted over the internet, and we will do our best to protect your privacy, but unencrypted email is inherently an improper mechanism for doing so. Sorry! :-) |
We do promise to try hard, not to make any mistakes, in the processing and presentation of your answers. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact column-editor GamerPro64, copy-editor 75.108.94.227, or copy-editor Ryk72. Thanks for reading, and thanks for helping Wikipedia. Article "New York City", section "Law enforcement"
editHi, I undid your edit on that page. Although it seems that you are adding it in good faith, we should not note minor changes to crime statistics on that page, because have a main article for that, which is Crime in New York City. epicgenius (talk) 18:11, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 13
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited La Lucia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Umhlanga. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

References
editRemember that when adding medical content please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a build in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. editHello, I'm User:Fountains of Bryn Mawr. I noticed that when you changed the lead content in an article, Gulf Stream, you seemed to interpret a single source and did not summarize the article. Leads should summarize articles, so it would be better to change the whole article if you think its wrong, or open discussion on the talk page.
