HunterZ
Welcome
editHello, HunterZ, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --D-Day(Wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?, on WHEELS?!) 18:23, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
editSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 02:58, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Greetings, welcome to WP (Wikipedia)
editHey. I saw your name in a list somewhere, and thought "that looks remarkably similar to my name" (my username is (officially) Hunterd...). Anyhoo, I looked at some of your userboxes and stole a few for myself :-). To see my archive, click here, here and here. Alternatively, you can see them all on one page by going to my userpage (click my name in my bold signature). Enjoy, and happy wiki'ing! Your one true god is David P. A. Hunter, esq. III Talk to me! 08:50, 2 July 2006 (UTC). P.S.: In case you don't yet know, to message another user, you can click on their username (mine is a link in my bold signature), which will take you to their UserPage. Next, hit the 'discussion' button at the top of the page, then 'edit' on the next page to appear, and add your message. The recipient should then reply to you on this page... hopefully :-) It took me a while to figure it out when I started using Wikipedia, all those years ago... In my signature is something that not all users have: a link direct to their 'talk page', where you can leave them a message.
Calling programmers
editWe need coders for the WikiProject Disambigation fixer. We need to make a program to make faster and easier the fixing of links. We will be happy if you could check the project. You can Help! --Neo139 09:01, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
