Speedy deletion nomination of Beautiful Assassin

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Beautiful Assassin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 06:43, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Beautiful Assassin. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ttonyb (talk) 06:56, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Beautiful Assassin. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ttonyb (talk) 07:01, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • I moved the Beautiful Assassin article into your userspace, so you can improve it and get it up to a nice quality before moving it back into the regular Wikipedia area. All you have to do to get the article to stick around is to reference citations for it just like you would for any paper. So, since it's for a class assignment, go to the library, look it up in the reference books -- ask the librarian how to search for it in magazines. Here's the Notability guidelines in a nutshell:
So go edit User:IA0509/Beautiful_Assassin and get it up to par -- let me know on my talk page if you'd like any more help.  :) Banaticus (talk) 07:06, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Beautiful Assassin Cover Image.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Beautiful Assassin Cover Image.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:08, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-free files in your user space

edit

Hey there IA0509, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:IA0509/Beautiful Assassin. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:06, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Beautiful Assassin Cover Image.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Beautiful Assassin Cover Image.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:46, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
