Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:WonderScience — Explore Science with Fun

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:WonderScience — Explore Science with Fun, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Disambiguation error

Hi - when you linked St Peter's in the infobox on the Roald Dahl article [[1]], you accidentally linked to the St Peter's School disambiguation (dab) page. There's no article for the school Dahl attended. A dab fix bot would've eventually alerted you. TechnoTalk (talk) 20:39, 17 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Creation of user pages for other users

edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you created user pages for several accounts, those of accounts that haven't edited in a while. There is no need to create such pages for other users, as the owners of the accounts should create them on their own. For user talk pages, unless you're welcoming them or posting a talk page message, it is pointless to create a talk page that just says that it is a talk page. Mori Calliope fan talk 07:45, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have nominated these pages for deletion as a result; see Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:IWikepidsacusk. Mori Calliope fan talk 07:50, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thanks a lot for telling me. I didn't know that I shouldn't be creating pages for other users, but now I do! But anyway, what will happen to the user pages now? Should I do something now or is it fine? I am Being Here to Help You (talk) 07:54, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
The MfD will decide. If you wish to have these pages deleted quickly, feel free to add {{db-g7}} tags to them, which will request their speedy deletion. Mori Calliope fan talk 08:03, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

My User Page: Ugliness

edit

I think my user page looks ugly on computers. Doesn't it? Please tell me what you think.

Thank you. I am Being Here to Help You (talk) 16:56, 31 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Well, frankly, stuff like "This user knows that this userbox is pointless!" is a waste of space that won't make anybody laugh. It's been done before. Userboxes make the page ugly and cluttered, and they go against the Wikipedia principle of free and useful information. 2A00:23C5:FE18:2701:E806:48D8:636A:25B7 (talk) 10:36, 11 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Why my Username is "I am Being Here to Help You"

edit

Hello fellow users,

I want to tell you why my username is "I am Being Here to Help You" and not "I am Here to Help You". "I am Being Here to Help You" sounds weird and grammatically awkward, which it is.

I wanted to keep it as "I am Here to Help You", but that was taken. But then, instead of choosing thinking up another username, I, for some reason (I don't know why), just was lazy, and made the phrase grammatically incorrect — "I am Being Here to Help You". And I don't quite like it now, but I'm used to it.

Oh well. It doesn't matter.

Cheers. I am Being Here to Help You (talk) 16:41, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ungrammatical perhaps, but I like the sound of it. Somewhat reminiscent of Be Here Now... — Arlo James Barnes 12:14, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello,

Please explain why you removed my edits? Shakycatto (talk) 14:04, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Shakycatto,
It is true I have reverted your edit. For one, a huge piece of text in Wikipedia shouldn't be removed with the excuse that the sources providing the information is unreliable. And if you think it is incorrect information, before removing a huge piece of text, you should always leave a message in the talk page for it to be dealt with more experienced users.
Hope this clarifies. I'm Here to Help You (talk) 14:11, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have read the policies. Please don't revert back without properly checking my edits. Thank youShakycatto (talk) 14:13, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
As a matter of fact, I have checked your edits. Please do not remove the information without proper evidence that it is incorrect. You may send me the links to the policies from where you have obtained the right to remove this. I'm Here to Help You (talk) 14:17, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please understand that I have mainly removed bad references (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources). The text is almost the same with little formatting. Using references like IB Times and Medium.com is a big no! Rather than fighting, let's improve further. I have also mentioned this on the talk page :) Thank you. Shakycatto (talk) 14:21, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, it's fine and all then, but you should make up the loss (kinda) with some reliable information providing sufficient references. Thank you, I'm Here to Help You (talk) 23:00, 20 March 2023 (IST)

Rollback granted

edit

Hi I am Being Here to Help You. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:24, 16 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Warning users

edit

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 12:19, 10 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello there! Is it possible for you to specify (preferably with a link) which "recent revert" you are referring to? This is just a request so that it is easier for me to compare and comprehend your suggestion better.

Hi I am Being Here to Help You! Thank you for your note. Sorry for not leaving an edit summary for each of the reverts or edits of yours that I undid. Sometimes speed gets the better of me and I hit the Publish tab before I should. Rather than going through all my contributions to see which ones you refer to, it'll be simpler if you let me know which ones are unclear and I'll be happy to explain them to you. Regards, Technopat (talk) 17:09, 25 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Technopat! I am glad you responded.
The following are the unclear reverts:
Thank you, I'm Here to Help You (talk) 10:48, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi again!
Here's the rationale for two of them plus an apology for my goof on one of them!
  • Partha Bhowmik: while you correctly removed the bold from '''District President''' and from the name of the political party, you inadvertently left the full stop in bold. I then, in my next edit did a much-needed clean-up of the rest of the article.
  • Nala: No idea what happened there! Possibly my cursor hovered over the Rollback tag while I was moving it towards the Recent changes tag. Your edit was correct. I have just this minute restored it... Sorry!
  • Baba ghanoush: You put a "See also" template at the top of the page. That template is only to be used as a hatnote for sections (WP:RELATED). When I realised that by reverting your edit I had restored an existing template that was also incorrect, I removed that one, too.
Cheers! --Technopat (talk) 14:28, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

This article should be redirected to Gulistan-e-Johar article. As this article cites no references second it is not a notable article. No article for it on Urdu Wikipedia or other local languages as far as i can find. 223.123.108.184 (talk) 15:47, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

That is not enough to delete an article from Wikipedia completely. It might not cite references. One should search for and add the references, if possible — not lazily redirect it. Also, it might not be a notable article. However, it's deletion — and removal of information on a large scale — should be left to more experienced Wikipedians.
Thank you. I'm Here to Help You (talk) 16:22, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Edit Warring

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. .Town...Shouter...Pro (talk) 03:33, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
