Sockpuppet investigation

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wikistarred 8604, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. March 2021

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Godi media. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Also note that it is not helpful for Wikipedia's readers to insert sources that have no connection to the surrounding context. "'Godi media' which is active in the country not from today, but for the last 70 years." is a sentence fragment which makes no sense – and again, Wikipedia can't say anything about implications of a source, unless other reliable secondary sources have already discussed such implications. bonadea contributions talk 12:18, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

Please see my comment above. While the quote did have a source, it was a sentence fragment (from the heading) which was unintegrated in the text and made very little sense. Yes, sources can be in languages other than English (although English-language sources are preferred). Note, however, that the sources must meet these criteria. Many sources are not reliable – you can look at this list to get guidance about some (not all!) major sources, and how they can be used in Wikipedia articles. What was the purpose of adding comingsoon.zee5.com, a website with no content, as a source? Providing a 30-minute video to support a brief statement is also not helpful to our readers. --bonadea contributions talk 16:34, 16 March 2021 (UTC)

OK, got it. Another editor said me that the edit at ravish Kumar was synthesis of different sources. If that was the case, I apologise and promise to not repeat this mistake. Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Iamyourfriend108! • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution.
