Speedy deletion nomination of Amyopathic dermatomyositis

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Amyopathic dermatomyositis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. SL93 (talk) 23:07, 19 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

So you can work on the article at your own pace, I've moved it to your user space, at User:Iiibalesiii/Amyopathic dermatomyositis. When it's ready, you can follow the procedures at WP:Articles for creation or just move it to the main article space. Let me know if you have any questions. Speedy deletion nomination of Pustular psoriasis

-- Dane talk 17:23, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Primary sources

edit

You are doing a good job, congratulations!

However, remember that in medical articles is especially important that we use reliable secondary sources per WP:MEDRS.

Best regards. --BallenaBlanca     (Talk) 12:28, 1 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lichen simplex chronicus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stigma. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:57, 3 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

with regards this edit: [1]

There is no particular need to replace a textbook source with a secondary source.

Also note that you moved the references in the text. Please take great care when moving references that the source actually still supports the text you are moving it to. See WP:INTEGRITY for more info. Matthew Ferguson (talk) 22:44, 5 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

References

edit

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. Re:Banner

edit

Hi, I've created my own banner via individually creating the buttons in the most amateur of programs, Microsoft Paint. Yep. You'll have to make each button individually and then upload it to Wiki Commons. Then, all you need to do is use the photo layout, chose the size and centre the banner/navigation. Hope that helped. Arbustum (talk) 20:42, 10 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ahh, I thought you meant the buttons. No, I created that myself at home. I composed it and then took a few photographs with my camera. Should be really easy to do and it's also a little bit creative. All the best. Arbustum (talk) 20:53, 10 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Glad I could help. Feel free to message me about anything Wikipedia related. All the best. Arbustum (talk) 21:06, 10 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Replantation. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Somatosensory system into Somatosensory disorder. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:58, 18 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ref

edit

Do you have a ref that this is based on[2] Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:50, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yes, my internet connection is awful here, so every time I try to make an attribution it doesn't upload. I've done the drawing myself, but it is adapted from Bucholz, et al., 2006. ISBN = 1605476773 IIIBALESIII 20:01, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

Remember to add page numbers for books. Also Uptodate is not that good of a source as the site changes and you cannot link to a specific version. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:06, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
