Stiven Mikhail moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Stiven Mikhail, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello Ponyo , I'm not a paid editor. I simply created this page about Mikhail who is a coach in Hungary which was published and all was well. I noticed an interview he did on the teams website and I updated it for it to be disapproved and put here. I'm asking can we put it back to the old way it was up ? If that's possible can you please help Ildivino1010 (talk) 15:15, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Ildivino1010, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ildivino1010|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 07:55, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Iam not a paid editor. I created this profile to try and create a page for Mikhail. I will put in my profile now that I am not a paid editor. What should I do next resubmit ? Is there anyway you can help me with the page ? Ildivino1010 (talk) 07:59, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
so what do I need to do now ? If you don't mind helping me Ildivino1010 (talk) 11:29, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
You will need to show how they pass WP:GNG, football coaches rarely do. Theroadislong (talk) 13:26, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
thank you for getting back. Mikhail is located in Hungary and it's a small country with less than 10 million people. To be in the news paper even once is an accomplishment. In the draft he is mentioned in Feol which is a recognized news outlet. He is also mentioned in NB1.hu which is the country's national sports news. A bunch of interviews. Mikhail is also verified on Instagram. I know we can say Instagram is not reliable but to be verified must show i.d and if a celebrity posts something controversial it's used against them so I don't know why Instagram or Facebook is not considered reliable. Please let me know what else I can submit. Sorry for the long text Ildivino1010 (talk) 18:20, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
We don't need verification that they exist, we need significant coverage of them in reliable independent sources not mere mentions. Interviews are not independent and being verified on Instagram is irrelevant. Theroadislong (talk) 18:26, 30 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Did you check the link ? Ildivino1010 (talk) 21:49, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
You say you're not a paid editor, fine. Can you tell us, though, how you chose this topic to write about? All your edits so far have to do with this person – there's probably a reason for that? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:29, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm a scout for a football club and I know this person. The coach works for us and since there are articles about him I wanted to make a wiki for the coach. My English writing is not the best which is why I need help. I don't think anyone would pay an editor for bad English no ? Can you help me ? Ildivino1010 (talk) 07:47, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia would deem you to be a paid editor and you must make the disclosure on your user page. Theroadislong (talk) 09:17, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I will attempt to do it now and I hope it works. I don't even know how to put it on my page but I'll figure it out and let you know when it's done Ildivino1010 (talk) 09:18, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
think I just did it. Let me know if it worked Ildivino1010 (talk) 09:19, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I will try to help you, but I want to make sure I know what you want. This is what I am going to do:

1) I will remove the 'paid contributor' notice on your draft, because everything you wrote has been erased by other people.

2) I will let everyone else who has worked on the draft know that you do not want to work on it any more, and that they can submit it if they want to. This means that the draft might be published, but it will not have the notice on it. But it might not be published if no one else wants to work on it.

3) You must not work on the draft any more - do not edit it at all. If no one edits it for six months, it will be deleted completely.

Do you agree to this? StartGrammarTime (talk) 03:01, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

thank you so much @StartGrammarTime Ildivino1010 (talk) 06:14, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
You are welcome! Could you please confirm that you will not edit the draft at all from now? If you agree not to edit the draft at all, I can remove the paid contributor notice and be confident that I am doing the right thing for Wikipedia and the right thing for you.
I think it would also be good if you put on your user page that you have a conflict of interest in relation to Stiven Mikhail. That should satisfy Wikipedia's requirements and make sure you are not blocked; I do not want you to be blocked for a misunderstanding. If you do not edit the draft, there will be no need to have any notice on Mikhail's page. I can put the conflict of interest information on your user page if you would like me to do that. Or you can ask me questions if you do not understand! I will try to answer and help you. StartGrammarTime (talk) 08:09, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
please add the conflict of interest on my page and I will not edit Stiven Mikhails page ever. Thank you for this. I really appreciate it. Ildivino1010 (talk) 08:12, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's no problem, I'm happy to have been able to help you out. I have made the edits to the draft and your user page as we agreed and left a message on the draft talk page for anyone interested. The paid contributor notice is gone from the draft. All you need to do now is forget the draft (and the talk page) exist - do not edit either of them. If no one else works on it, it will be deleted in six months. Please leave me a message on my talk page if you have any more questions or problems and I will help you if I can. I wish you all the best! StartGrammarTime (talk) 06:03, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
