Response to comment on footpad/mugger
editI think you need to respond in a more specific and precise way to the query. The article cannot deal with massive changes over centuries. What did the 18th century mean by "footpad"? On which sources can you base a definition? Beattie Crime and the Courts for example? --Jfclegg (talk) 15:04, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

editHi Im 2u, have you looked for an image for the Footpad article? --Navarco (talk) 14:53, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
Week 10, Task: Offering Suggestion
editHi Im 2u, I have read your article and I found it good structured.
To improve it I think you could add some more links, one for example for "Elizabethan age".
It would be also interesting to give some example of the gangs you wrote about in the paragraph "criminal system", if you can find some.
A picture of the robbing itself or of a robber would be nice too, to add an extra touch to your article. Alternatively, if you can't find it, also a picture of watchmen could be an idea.
Finally, you could mention the punishment which was given to a person guilty of this specific way of robbing.
I hope my suggestion was useful, see you in class Micheladv92 (talk) 11:29, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Short presentation on footpads
editWould you like to make a short presentation on footpads next Monday? It could be a good way of clarifying your ideas and getting some feedback. I gave a paper on street robbers in Colonel Jack a few months ago, and though it hasn't been published yet and can't be quoted, I have uploaded my hand-out in my ISA materials and could (if you remind me of your matricola) send you a draft version. --Jfclegg (talk) 18:18, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
By this time you should be just about finished with your wiki article so you should at least be able to say something about footpads tomorrow! And Colonel Jack really should figure in your article! Coraggio! --Jfclegg (talk) 20:35, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 29
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Footpad, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Joseph Blake. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
