- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Wikipedia and copyright
editHello Impaulrators! Your additions to Mark Brnovich have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:04, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
Election maps
editHi! I appreciate your creation of maps like File:2012_State_Upper_House_Elections_V2.png. If possible, could you upload and export these as SVGs instead of PNGs? No worries if you can't, but SVG maps are generally preferable. I usually create SVG maps using qGis and filling in the data with Inkscape. The process of creating new SVG shapes is somewhat complex, most of the time I just edit existing maps too (and for that, Inkscape is sufficient). OutlawRun (talk) 23:38, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

2022 Portuguese election map
editHi there Impaulrators! Thank you for the map image of the 2022 Portuguese legislative election. I just want to ask if it's possible to return to the previous format of the map. The current version has a smaller map which makes it difficult to read in the infobox. I look forward to hearing from you.Tuesp1985 (talk) 16:32, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- I was under the impression that the first version of the map I made was too vertical, but if you believe it looks better under that format, then sure I can return to it. Impaulrators (talk) 20:45, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- This is just a suggestion, but the party bars, below the map, would be smaller in comparison with the map. For example, like this:
- Then, the image could become less vertical. What do you think? Tuesp1985 (talk) 22:22, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Portuguese elections map
editHello, firstly I'd like to say that I really appreciate your maps, they're really great! I just have a few small corrections to make about these maps:
- LIVRE doesn't use the name L/TDA since 2015, and has used the current name in the 2019 and 2022 elections.
- There's a typo in the leader of PSD's name, he's not Rui Sio, he is Rui Rio.
- In the 2011, 2015 and 2019 elections, the third seat in Évora is colored as a seat for the Left Bloc, when it was actually won by the CDU.
- In 2002, the PS leader appears as Pedro Santana Lopes, when it was actually Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues.
- PCP doesn't run alone in the elections, they always run under the Unitary Democratic Coalition with PEV.
- In 2019, the IL leader was Carlos Guimarães Pinto and LIVRE's main candidate was Joacine Katar Moreira, so both names are missing a word.
Sorry for bothering you, but these were a few mistakes that I noticed in your Portuguese elections map and that's why I brought them to you to see if you can fix them. Thank you very much for your work! H3nrique Bregie (talk) 18:29, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback, as for the communist party, I was aware of that discrepancy but I decided to just call it the communist party for simplicity and since the PEV never runs on its own (similarly to how I didn't include the nuances of the PSD running alone in the territories in 2015) Impaulrators (talk) 22:52, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
