Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 10:53, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
I have removed your edits to the article Christopher Poole. None of the three sources you cited clearly states that that Christopher Poole was arrested. GetIndiaNews includes a photo of him, but they don't appear to be a very reliable source, and may have just Googled the name and grabbed an image. Please read our policy on biographies of living person as well as our policy on edit warring before continuing to edit that article. Thank you.
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

editYour account has been blocked indefinitely because the chosen username is a clear violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane, threatens, attacks or impersonates another person, or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information).
We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you think there are good reasons why these don't describe your account, or why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. -- TNT (talk • she/her) 11:02, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
Unblock request
editIuploadscatpics (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I was not aware that my username is in violation of Wikipedia policy. I understand that some may find it offensive or believe that it indicates that I do not plan to contribute to the encyclopedia, but it was meant as humorous, contains no profanities (just a poop joke), and I am willing to have it changed. I do not plan to upload images of any kind. Furthermore, I believe that I was blocked not because of my username, but to prevent me from taking an article to arbitration (no one had a problem with my dumb little poop joke until then). I am asking for a temporary unblock so that I can request a username change to something more neutral. I will not edit articles until a name change has been completed.
Decline reason:
Follow the instructions above to pick your new username. We will not unblock you until you demonstrate your good faith by picking an appropriate username. Yamla (talk) 13:18, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
