The article was deleted, quite honestly, because of this edit. The concern was that you post in an unrelated article about a chap being "a turgid cell" on one day, and then post an unreferenced article about him the next. If you believe this individual to be notable, you can go ahead and find sources that say so now. No need to wait for the article to be restored - show that the subject is notable, and that there are sources to prove it, and a new article that complies with out policies can be written. I must note, though, that edits such as this don't do anything to prove your point; quite the opposite, attacks on other editors are very likely to result in your being blocked from editing. If you can be civil, and if you can find sources for your article, great - we're happy to work with you. Otherwise... not so much. Best, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 18:14, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
And I might add that adding a reference to the page's subject touching his private parts certainly doesn't help either. Travelbird (talk) 20:24, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion to create article on Punjabi wikipedia first

edit

Might I make an honest suggestion regarding your attempt to add an article on Stan Eegit Lampard? I am assuming good faith on your part, but you might be losing something in translating your article to the English language. Could you consider establishing this same article on the Punjabi wikipedia first? That could establish the credibility of the subject with oversight by native speakers of the language who are also more likely to understand the folklore and culture, as well as be able to come up with reputable citations. Once established there, you could put in a request to translate the article. If Punjabi is not your native language, you still may be able to find an appropriate wikipedia in your own language (I don't know if it is possible, but I think it is worth attempting). In any case, expanding other language wikipedias is an explicit goal of the Wikimedia Foundation. And please, refrain from insulting other editors. It's just not good form to call someone a racist. --Quartermaster (talk) 19:18, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Stan F Owen

edit

Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
