I was asked by my company to put up an informational page about our company. I researched and found many other air travel company's had pages up with factual information and followed their pages as a template. I then posted my page and it was promptly deleted and marked as blatant advertising. I am asking for help userfy(sp?) this page so that we can also have a informational page on Wikipedia.

Here is a copy of my page that you had deleted.

Good question

That was kind of a judgement call on that Indus Trust article. It didn't come back as a copyvio even though it's really, really spammy as hell. What tipped it for me was the fact that the principals had articles of their own. Had they been redlinked, I would have tossed it out. This is a weird rule. I guess it makes some sense, but I've seen a boatload of Indian school articles over the past couple of months. I usually use PROD or AFD in these cases. Many times it is hard to tell if the school even exists! — Timneu22 · talk 13:12, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Dear Quartermaster, I have been looking for more sources for Prof Albrecht (added reviews of his book - professorships at KU and Tulane) which I think should be enough to save a deceased stubbish biography. I have made some additional progress thanks to Prof W McConnell at UC Davis (a neighbour of yours?) confirming these are the same Albrechts. You mention you have some information - 9 entries for an Erich (August Gottlieb) Albrecht born in 1907 - which alone might not be enough but which might be usefully added. Articles like this one should have a CSD, but this gets turned down time and time again at WT:CSD. However, when it comes to this type of essay article, I've noticed that WP:A10 generally works: this article does not expand on the article "teaching" so it could be considered a duplicate. Photos from the State Library of Queensland

Thank you for adding the photos which were donated to Wikimedia Commons, by the State Library of Queensland, to Australian pages on Wikipedia. I think that what you have done with the photos is great - not clumpsy at all. I have added the interesting photo you mentioned to the Brisbane River page as an historic photo of the river. I hope that this is okay.

You are correct that I am an Aussie. I was born in Australia (and live in Brisbane). I created the Southern Cross (aircraft) page back in September 2005, and have been a frequent editor of the page ever since, because I have always found the first flight across the Pacific Ocean - from California to Brisbane in the "Southern Cross", by Charles Kingsford-Smith and his crew - very interesting.

On a note of trivia, the aircraft was named after the Southern Cross contellation (which is featured on a number of flags of nations in the southern hemisphere, including New Zealand and Australia). Cheers! Figaro (talk) 16:45, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Tupelo Chain Sex

–Hi Quartermaster, Thanks for creating the TCS page. Do we know one another perhaps? The reason why I write is because there is a major discrepancy. TCS wasn't founded by Willie McNeil. It was founded by Dave Dahlson aka "Limey Dave", J.J. Poskin, Sim Cass, and myself. Willie McNeil joined the group about a year after it's inception. Willie also did not create Jump With Joey. I created JWJ solely myself and spent a month preparing the repertoire before actually bringing the members together. I had hired Willie as the drummer, and he helped my find a good sax and trombone player. Later on, Willie assumed a larger role in the band, singing occasionally and co-fronting it with me. I'm not sure where you got your info from, but if you are interested, I would gladly provided you with other items for the TCS wiki. Best,

Hey, Joey ("Mr. Altruda" ;) )! Thanks for the heads up. I wish I had know you all then, I was just a local college student at UCLA when you were in your heyday. I am going to copy your comment and this reply to the talk page for TCS. I was originally working from other people's sources and I'm not surprised there might be errors. Wikipedia likes to cite external sources like newspaper and magazine articles and as dumb as it sounds, even a principal in an article isn't considered an authority unless they're being cited in an article. By putting this in the talk page we can at least start the process of documenting corrections and preserve your comments. If you know of any newspaper or magazine articles where the mentions about founders of TCS and JWJ it makes things more airtight. I may go in and just edit the article anyway with your information. I had to originally fight off an attempt to delete the TCS article as some folks said y'all weren't famous enough. By finding newspaper articles and reviews I was able to convince them that TCS was notable enough to have a wikipedia article.

And may I say, musically you guys are still one of my all time favorite jazz/rockabilly/punk/reggae/whatever groups. Time to fire up another round of "Spot the Difference." --Quartermaster (talk) 13:23, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Quartermaster. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
