Rootkits: Subverting the Windows Kernel
you censor more than you care to investigate about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bodigami (talk • contribs) 04:59, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- This hasn't got a damn thing about censorship so don't go trying that on me. Your article, if you can call it that, was about a book, not a notable book, and gave zero useful information about said book, who wrote it, when, publisher, reception, any of that. Go write a proper article, then we can talk about censorship--Jac16888Talk 05:42, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Talk Page Museum of Flying
Jac16888, you recently removed the talk page for Museum of Flying due to (G8: Page dependent on a deleted or nonexistent page). I received the below message, and obtained a CC-BY-SA from the original writer and was just following the instructions. I also sent an email to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". I am a new user, so if you can help guide me through this process it would be much appreciated. I am just trying to add the Museum of Flying page.
Cheers, Jeremymoseley (talk) 17:43, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- If you sent an email to permissions, they should reply to you at some point telling you if they've accepted it, if they accept it, then you can create the article. However, even with permission, simply pasting from another website is frowned upon, it won't meet the standards we have here. The best advice I can give to you right now is to forget about the website permission, use that as a source instead, find some other sources as well, which demonstrate the subjects notability, and have a gander at this, which should be able to help you more than I can. If you do this then, while I can't guarantee it won't be deleted, it should stand a better chance--Jac16888Talk 17:51, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Re: deleted peer review of 2012 phenomenon
I'm wondering why Wikipedia:Peer review/2012 phenomenon/archive1 was deleted? Your rationale was CSD G8 but obviously 2012 phenomenon exists.. could it be because of a mistake when it was moved? If so, and if there actually was a peer review undertaken, I'm hoping you could restore it as the information in the peer review could be very helpful to improving the article. Thanks. -- Ϫ 01:04, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- There was never any peer review for the article. I'm not sure how it happened, but the page was a redirect to "Editing Wikipedia:Peer review/2012 Doomsday prediction/archive1", making it broken--Jac16888Talk 10:29, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- It seems there was, just under a different title: Wikipedia:Peer review/2012 Doomsday Prediction/archive1. -- Ϫ 04:42, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- fair enough, should have checked. Oh well, redirect recreated now--Jac16888Talk 16:45, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Tollabi deleted
hello,
you have Deleted the page of montada tollabi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AF%D9%89_%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%8A)
the montada, is a non profit organisation, so we are not advertising...
and it was just a definition.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.126.21.6 (talk) 00:06, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- Just because you're not for profit, doesn't mean you don't need advertising, and the fact you say we makes it obvious you're connected to the organisation somehow so you shouldn't be writing about it anyway. And anyway, this is this English wikipedia, articles need to be in english, not arabic--Jac16888Talk 00:14, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
The Football Ramble
Hey,
You deleted the Football Ramble from Wikipedia, despite it quoting and listing all sources and references, and despite it being the largest independent football podcast in the UK. Is there any chance of it going back up?
Thanks in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.238.1.134 (talk) 11:04, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- You've asked me the same thing before, The Football Ramble had nothing to do with me--Jac16888Talk 12:25, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for this, it wasn't me who mentioned it before, this is the first time I've mentioned it. According to where the page used to be:
23:49, 27 July 2009 Jac16888 (talk | contribs) deleted "The football ramble" (G8: Page dependent on a deleted or nonexistent page)
Can you help further? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.238.1.134 (talk) 09:35, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- That page was a redirect to the page I linked to, when the main one was deleted, it left the redirect broken, which is why I deleted it--Jac16888Talk 11:29, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for deleting a page in my user space to which I had affixed the {{db-u1}} template. I swear I had just saved the page with the template not two minutes before you deleted. You are one incredibly fast admin! Thanks again. — Spike (talk) 00:06, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Brentwood College School
Hi, before you delete my article, could you please give me an advanced notice so that I would NOT loose all the work on the page, I can have the time to save it offline。 I know it is a duplicate, but it is the OTHER one in the duplicate that is supposed to be deleted Could you resurrect this delete page? and I will point you to the duplicate article that should be deleted?
Thank you
- I deleted it because it was copied from the chinese version of Brentwood College School.I restored the page and moved it to your userspace, User:ExtremeSafari/Brentwood College School-zh--Jac16888Talk 18:13, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Duplicate page resolution for Brentwood college school:
Please help with the following changes to resolve a duplication:
Please delete:http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brentwood_College_School Please keep: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brentwood_College_School/zh
Thank you very much.
- I think you're confused as to how this works, the english wikipedia and the chinese wikipedia are different sites, you need to add the page you created to the one over there, just overwrite the existing article, I can't delete it because i'm not an admin there--Jac16888Talk 18:13, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Jac, Thank you for the comments. Here is the situation with Brentwood college school page, I started by adding it to http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brentwood_College_School, only realize half way that I cannot use the template {{Infobox education in Canada}} to display this school's logo and summary information, that is why I started it the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brentwood_College_School/zh page, which runs into your managing realm.
I would like to seek your advice on how to proceed from here:
- Option 1: Having http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brentwood_College_School deleted, and create a new article in en.wikipedia.org subdomain if en domain allows foreign language, so that I can use the template tag to keep the translated page consistent with its English language page.
- Option 2: Maybe there is a way to use a infobox template available in en.wikipedia from zh.wikipedia。 Could you please help clarify? If it is possible to do this, then I will just keep working on the http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brentwood_College_School page.
Thank you.
- Option 1 is no good, en.wikipedia is just for english articles. Option two is much more possible, if you go to the talk page of the infobox, they should be able to help you with creating it on zh.wikipedia, which I think is what you want--Jac16888Talk 18:51, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Why did you remove FrancisLightHouse's article?
This is what I posted see the text below:
History About The Club & FrancisLightHouse
In 1993 The Old York was opened. The two owners to start The Old York were Hidey and JFrancis. Which The Old York closed its doors in 1995. Then the summer of 1995 the club reopened and clanged the name to The YF. About five years it closed in the fall of 1999. Latter on in 2000 the club opened and all so changed the name to The YF/Justin and moved to a new place with caused the club to close for two months. After two months The YF/JUSTIN reopened for one year then closed due to building problems and renovated and changed the name to The YF/JUSTIN-FR. Then in 2005, the club moved and all so changed the name to Francis Light House, which did not open. Francis Light House hopes to open this year of 2006. Witch FrancisLightHouse did not open. The clubs had a website for the club and some links that we thought it would be good for the club members to visit. After the most of the website had closed we thought we bring it back to life by crating a website for you to type in a url and goto the webpage with out clearing up ou address bar. FrancisLightHouse is also know as FLH. FLH Address was the first webpage and it is still up to day, And so is the clubs website. After a a wile FLH added place for use to search for links. That's now called "FLH Search" After that followed the other links that you see at the top of this webpage. On Thursday, September, 17, 2009 the Admin's of FrancisLightHouse stated to redesigen the homepage alone with the other pages. The new collor is yellow along with the orginal dark blue, and the top with the same lighthouse and the sea background.
So how is this copyrighting if I am the owner of the site and to small? Please tell me.

Why did you remove jCore article?
Dear Jac16888, May I ask you why did you remove the jCore article? you reason was: Article about a web site, blog, web forum, webcomic, podcast, browser game, or similar web content, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject.
I don't agree with you if you don't mind, don't tell me there is no other article on wikipedia that has less significance... what is with the other open source cms-es???? those are important but my not? my project reached more than 1000 of downloads int the first two months and I just released 0.2 with more features and wanted to update the wikipedia entry and see that you deleted it without even dropping me a letter or sending me a notification that it has been deleted, I don' think this is correct and you should rethink it once more!
Regards, Julius

Please restore জলপিপি
Hi, could you please restore জলপিপি? The URL you cited, which is the one I provided, was dated 12 November, 2009, the day AFTER this article was written, so there was no copyright infringement on account of that page. Besides that, unless someone did something to the article after I touched it, I had turned it into a redirect to Jacana. —Largo Plazo (talk) 15:39, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- I notice you restored a different article, বরিশাল, whose title is in the same script. Had you intended to restore this one? —Largo Plazo (talk) 11:56, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- From what was said on wp:pnt, it seems that while the article was about the Jacana, the title had was unrelated, making it a useless redirect, so I don't think there is much point restoring it, I made a mistake deleting it as a copyvio, I must have missed the date on the page I thought it was copied from--Jac16888Talk 02:03, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

New Question?
Hi, I will not publicly put my name on this site, but you may call me JF. My question is, if somthing was remove for any of the following reasion why do you still have an archive, it ent that the smae as having a http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=_TOPIC_HERE So why not keep it where it is?
Also if this is for any one to add to why remove non-profit organization article eaven if it is not any way trying to get people to his/her site? 96.249.235.218 (talk) 22:09, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Módulo de um número
Howdy. I was surprised you deleted Módulo de um número based on db-context because there was plenty of context: it was an explanation of the mathematical concept of "absolute value". I'm unconcerned because it needed to be deleted anyway, as we already have Absolute value. (The same article was deleted from Portuguese Wikipedia, which already has an article about absolute values under a different name.) But I thought I'd mention it. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:55, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- I couldn't see any context from "The module concept of a real number is associated with the idea away from a straight to the point of origin." but then again I have little interest in maths, perhaps thats why--Jac16888Talk 19:59, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- You were working with a really bad translation, that's why! The original, which I just located at http://ecalculo.if.usp.br/funcoes/modulo/fmodulo.htm (in other words, this was also a copyvio!) was "O conceito de módulo de um número real está associado à idéia de distância de um ponto da reta à origem." Google Translator gives the translation that you were going by. A proper translation is "The concept of the absolute value of a real number is associated with the distance from a point on the line to the origin," which, though clumsily worded, is correct and complete. —Largo Plazo (talk) 20:47, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

I also thought of changing this to a redirect, but didn't because the title would still be in the other language. Is there provision or precent for an article in the English Wikipedia to have a title completely in a foreign language and alphabet? If not, I'll just nominate the redirect for deletion: I don't think anyone looking in enwiki would look under a title that's in a different alphabet. What do you think? --Auntof6 (talk) 07:13, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
