Welcome!

Hello, Jake Calum, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Lawrence McEwan, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for compromised account. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. JohnCD (talk) 20:58, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unblock request

Request reason:

I understand you are concerned about my account and it's security but I can assure you that I have regained control over my account and have changed the password. I wish to clean things up from here but I really do not want to be in the position where I have to create a new account.

Decline reason:

Declined; see below, at user's request. Accounting4Taste:talk 21:15, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Never mind the request, I made a new account. Is it OK if I redirect the former pages to my new account? UnknownThing (talk) 21:06, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes, you can do that if you like, but you said at CHU that you didn't want your account linked to your real name, and if you do that anyone clicking "What links here" on your new user page will see the link from the old one. JohnCD (talk) 21:09, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
OK, is it alright for the page to be deleted then so that they won't know me for me? UnknownThing (talk) 21:12, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I responded to the unblock request, because otherwise it would keep showing up in administrative territory as an outstanding task. I'm not absolutely sure you can delete a userpage; if someone more knowledgeable than me doesn't respond, I'll find out and get back to you. Best of luck with your future contributions. Already has per my request. Thanks for the co-operation :). UnknownThing (talk) 21:17, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

As the checkuser found, the guy above is not me and therefore I wish for an unblock

Decline reason:

You are asking for an block here while editing as UnknownThing; a blocked editor. If you wish to disprove sockpuppetry, then applying for an unblock of one account using another is not good technique. Especially if the other is aready blocked as a GEORGIEGIBBONS sockpuppet. But please feel free to post a further request clarifying this point. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 19:55, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I'll say again, UnknownThing is not me. It is GEORGIEGIBBONS and the CU didn't find me under GG meaning that he stole my account and I'm asking for an unblock as I'm someone else and this is my only account.

Decline reason:

First of all, you were not logged in as Jake Calum when posting this request, so we don't even know it was you who posted it. Second, accounts that have been compromised are usually left blocked indefinitely. See WP:GOTHACKED Beeblebrox (talk) 21:27, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
