{HELP ME Please} Need help with Advertisement Message, and Wikipedia page not posting to the Web
editHello, I am designing a Wikipedia page for a large company, and keep getting a statement saying this is written like an advertisement, and demands a immediate re-write. However, nothing on my site is promotional in nature. I state the company history, officers, services offered (in an objective manner, not stating why they are good or bad), and professional memberships. Really, my Wikipedia page is like most any other company, but why will min not post to the open web? Thank you Jamesbuscaglio1 (talk) 15:13, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Jamesbuscaglio1
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Jamesbuscaglio1 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 15:50, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Company logo.gif
editA tag has been placed on File:Company logo.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ukexpat (talk) 15:50, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- By way of explanation: All rights of this logo are solely for the use of Corporate Care is incompatible with the claim that the image is public domain. – ukexpat (talk) 15:52, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

My Wiki Page was deleted in error. I tried using the Deleted in Error task, but failed. I run a marketing consulting firm, and was tasked by Corporate Care Management to draft a Wikipedia Page. All information and logos were approved by Corporate Care management, and I can prove this through authorizations. Please help me get my pasge back, and enable it to be posted. All information listed on the page WAS NOT promotional in nature, and listed encyclopedic information about the company history, officers, service offerings, and partners. No promotional information was listed about whether it's services were good, bad, etc. Please help me.
- Hello. You can try requesting for an undeletion here Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion, but I strongly recommend you talk to the admin who did the deletions for a clearer explanation on why. In this case ukexpat, you can post on his talk page here: User talk:Ukexpat. Thank you.--Obsidi♠nSoul 07:40, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Corporate Care
editYour draft article was deleted as a copyright violation. Theoretically you could ask Corporate Care to license the content you want to use by following the procedure at WP:COPYREQ, but this would be a waste of time and effort for four reasons:
- Unless their lawyers are incompetent, they will not approve the free license required. (The use of the logo is not a problem, for it is too simple to be copyrighted; so Wikipedia needs no permission to use it. It was deleted because you claimed, "All rights of this logo are solely for the use of Corporate Care")
- It would take a couple of weeks to for Wikipedia volunteers to process the permission.
- Using that content would get the article deleted as promotional and unencyclopedic. (Your conflict of interest apparently prevents from seeing how promotional it is.)
- The ultimate hurdle of getting the article accepted is demonstrating the notability of the company. “Demonstrating notability” means showing that the company has received significant coverage from reliable sources, coverage which is independent of company press releases. The company may be notable in your mind, but company material is worthless for “demonstrating notability”; it has to come from outside sources.
Does the company have significant coverage from independent reliable sources? If so; the thing for you to do is to rewrite your article based on the information in those sources as though you knew nothing else about the company. You wrote research papers in college didn’t you? Write the article like a research paper with ample footnotes citing those independent reliable sources. —teb728 t c 10:57, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
