broken afds?

edit

Janbrogger, You apparently put afds on several articles including Mġarr (which is a real town- why are you requesting its deletion?)s , but the afd link goes to something relating to the Barony of Tabria. please clarifyѕʀʟ·

See the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barony of Tabria discussion for a reply. The Mgarr entry was based on original research, non-reputable sources. It has been provisionally fixed. Multiple pages have been nominated for Afd in the same process. The Afd's are not broken. See the reply. Janbrogger 22:10, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't mean to be rude, but this edit seems to be a bit rude in the midst of this discussion.. did you delete it simply becasue User:Tancarville wrote it? 「ѕʀʟ·
  • Do you really know what your doing by deleting all of the Maltese nobility? There are already previous requests for deletion and some were deleted and some were not. If its all based on references then check and ask. Tancarville 08:39, 21 July 2006 (EST)
    • Do you really know... Janbrogger, I don't have a vested interest in whether to keep these or not. But you might want to be careful about making edits to things .. I know I keep harping on Mġarr, but it seemed that you cast a broad net of suspicion ("questionable source..").. asking a question about Verifiability is great, I am all for that. That's what keeps things honest and of high quality here. But if you aren't as familiar with the subject matter it might be good to leave things as questions and talk them out in talk pages rather than making edits while discussion is still going on. That's what seems (and I say seems) hostile. I really mean this as friendly criticism, and the hopes that we can work together to improve Wikipedia. As part of this I am increasing some of my requests to get more verifiable data on here. I wrote the Mġarr local council, maybe someone on there would even step in. Also, if I didn't mention it before, please feel free to stop by the WP:MALTA message board any time. Saħħa (health)... 「ѕʀʟ·07:37, 21 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Have you not read the above references. These books cover the Barony of Tabria extensively and persistenly. Why pick on Tabria when all the other Maltese titles are being satisfied. You were one of those who tried to have the Maltese nobility deleted. Have you not learnt your lesson? I shall in the next week slowly cite pages and add ISBN's to these books where possible. If you even try to locate these authors you may also find they are REAL!!!. Lastly, I am an author who has written alot on the Maltese nobility as a whole. This hasnt caused a problem with wikipedia for a long time. Its only caused you and a small ban of people distressed and persist on banning the lot. Read Tabria's history and if you still have a deliema to either email myself or leave a message on my profile. Count Charles Said-Vassallo 14:11, 23 March 2007 (EST)

WRT this, that page isn't meant to request blocks, rather to serve as a file for notorious vandals and malefactors so people can recognize and respond to them.

Proposed deletion of British International School of Stavanger

edit

The article British International School of Stavanger has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable school. Zero references for verifiability or notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~a (usertalkcontribs) 22:00, 28 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:Julia furuta-toy.jpg needs authorship information

edit
Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Julia furuta-toy.jpg appears to be missing information as to one (or more) of the following :

  1. The author or creators of the work, (including information as to the author's lifespan).
  2. Where and how this particular version was obtained.
  3. When the work was created,

If you did provide such information, it is currently confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Janbrogger}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.

Please also add authorship and sourcing to other files you created or uplopaded. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 08:32, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Better source request for File:Julia furuta-toy.jpg

edit

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 08:33, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
