Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of nicknames of presidents of the United States. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Diff: [1] Per standard editing procedure, when content you add is reverted, you need to open a discussion on the article's talk page to seek WP:CONSENSUS for the change you wish to make, not resubmit the content. Until consensus is established, the status quo remains, i.e. the version of the article prior to your change. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:59, 21 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Loriendrew. I noticed that you recently removed content from Black tie without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 17:44, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm SunDawn. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Grinnell College—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. SunDawntalk 14:03, 8 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry that it didn't appear constructive to you. I placed the template because the article features glowing praises of the college, often with clunky language. Look at the last couple of sentences in the intro, or the "Academic programs" or "Graduation rate" subheadings, or the whole "Social activities and organizations" heading. Hope this helps Jaydenwithay (talk) 14:19, 8 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion

edit

Hello, Jaydenwithay! I am very glad to see that you added Template:User No Neo-Confederates to your userpage. Having that in mind, I must ask you to consider endorsing a closely related essay, WP:NOCONFED, in which creation I participated. Of course, this is just a suggestion, nothing more. Cheers! — Sundostund mppria (talk / contribs) 07:47, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

They suggest relevance and you need reliable sources establishing the relevance. Doug Weller talk 13:43, 14 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Doug Weller I don't appreciate your hostility on my talk page. Jaydenwithay (talk) 13:49, 14 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Excuse me? I gave you the courtesy of not giving you a templated warning, said please, and you think that's hostility? Ironic given your response. Next time I will make the warning a formal one and not a request. Doug Weller talk 13:57, 14 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh in regard to the suggestion above, I like that user template. Tempted to use it myself. Doug Weller talk 13:58, 14 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your assumption that I'm going to continue to make un-sourced edits (which I rarely do, my bad on that) or that there will be a "next time" sounds a little like rattling sabers. Although I do apologize for being a bit short this morning. Jaydenwithay (talk) 22:37, 14 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I had no idea what you were going to do, I didn't want to get into an edit war over it and hoped you would either stop or explain yourself. As I was reverting you I couldn't block you. Apology accepted. Doug Weller talk 08:30, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I found a contemporaneous source for my edit! Jaydenwithay (talk) 23:19, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Aptronym, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 18:36, 10 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
