About those IPs that you and Ss112 reported on 16 January about other variations of 73.81, I think that I'm starting to get the impression that this account may belong to User:Smoore95GAGA if you look here. Do you think that this may be it? Andrew (talk) 07:04, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

@Musicedit98: I considered that they may be one of those long-term disruptive editors with a singer they love in their name. Having just seen that IP connection you pointed out now, I think it's most likely them. Same seriously bad attitude and similar pop music targets. Ss112 07:11, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Maybe if we point out the connection to an admin, they'll take action more quickly. Livelikemusic pointed out in the most recent report (November '16) that they target "newly released-song[s]" (and releases) and that appears to be what's happening here. Ss112 07:13, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Oh my god, I've seen this user on a forum I've gone on.  --Jennica / talk 07:16, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, even Carbrera had been there too since almost last year many times already. Andrew (talk) 07:17, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
(Sorry about all the messages Jennica) But one of Smoore95GAGA's edit summaries includes them telling someone to "back the fuck off", which is very similar to their edit summaries earlier today at List of 2017 albums (minus the profanity). I know it's not clear evidence (since they're definitely not the only person or editor to have said "back off"), but the similar topics, abuse and defensive summaries are adding up. Ss112 07:20, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
No problem with all the comments. I don't mind the discussion. I don't really have anything to add, however. --Jennica / talk 07:20, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Within history that I seen in this archive, and many contents that I see with that behavior, I think that "PeopleEater143" IS likely "Smoore95GAGA". Andrew (talk) 07:48, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

@Musicedit98: - yep that seems glaringly obvious. --Jennica / talk 08:01, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

And further proof, one of their favourite targets is Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. PeopleEater143 and at least one of the accused IPs (73.81) have also edited it recently. One of the blocked accounts was even named "BBTalk". Ss112 08:22, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
@Ss112: You mean "BBTalk123" the sock account of "Smoore95GAGA", because the user "BBTalk" is different and this account isn't blocked, plus their last edit was more than 8 years ago. Andrew (talk) 08:33, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
@Musicedit98: I didn't think I had to be more specific, because as BBTalk edited eight years ago, they clearly weren't named after a Miley Cyrus song that came out in mid-2015, and that's also a reason why I didn't link to the user. Ss112 08:48, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
What's even more worse is that a blocked user "Antonio Bononcinis" was there on their favorite target too just months ago (the link you posted above). Andrew (talk) 08:57, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Sprout City Studios

Hello,

I'd like to contest the deletion of the page I created for Sprout City Studios. This studio has been a significant establishment in Eugene, Oregon for almost 20 years and has recorded several note worthy artists.

Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chandrasylvio (talkcontribs) 00:47, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

Genres for Run Up

Hello User:Jennica, can you cite this source on Run Up song page for it's genre(s) please, [1] here it's called dancehall and described as having "island-inspired beats", "rap verses", a "dancehall hook", "deep bass undertones" and a "light, tropical synth topline". Appreciated if you can, thanks. There's other sites that list genres for this song also.--2A02:C7D:892B:3D00:3DB6:6BB8:AB17:9E87 (talk) 06:28, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Paul

Hi Jennica

I have no idea why my page was deleted ( Paul Moran Musician )

He is a high profile musician - and I listed a lot of the people he has played with. Is this why you deleted the article

This is my first attempt at this - and I did e mail to ask what was the problem. If you would be kind enough to point me in the right direction I need to put the page up again

Any help appreciated

Thanks

John Williams

Bare references

Thanks you for filling out my ferences. I was a bit lazy when I made it.★Trekker (talk) 01:19, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

I Decided

I need your help by adding a personal section for this article, like you did in the Starboy article earlier. The source for the liner notes is find here. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 09:42, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

@TheAmazingPeanuts: - I am not really up for it at the moment to be honest. Sorry  --Jennica / talk 03:19, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
That's okay. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 21:25, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the edits in the article. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 23:16, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

Wikihounding

Wikihounding is the singling out of one or more editors, and joining discussions on multiple pages or topics they may edit or multiple debates where they contribute, to repeatedly confront or inhibit their work. This is with an apparent aim of creating irritation, annoyance or distress to the other editor. Wikihounding usually involves following the target from place to place on Wikipedia. You fit this criteria as joined a discussion [2] as well as repeatedly confront my work on these pages: [3], [4], [5]. I would ask that you discontinue being disruptive and behave like an adult, especially when commenting with childish emojis. Horizonlove (talk) 03:15, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

@Horizonlove: I don't really wish to discuss this since I didn't do anything wrong. I checked your edits after I saw you are apparently obsessed with listing songwriters in Personnel sections. Checking past history twice or even three times isn't considered hounding. I don't really care to discuss this further. You're going a bit overboard I think. If I was checking up on your edits everyday, then you can get on my case, but I certainly don't care to. You're seemingly more concerned about my past than I am with yours. "Feedback has been universal that this is not a case of WP:HOUNDING." - my past SPI case. you are definitely out of bounds with this "accusation". --Jennica / talk 03:18, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
I don't know any about your past SPI case, I'm more concerned with this case which is not out of bounds. While not prohibited, constantly checking user's history logs is discouraged against, as per WP:HOUNDING (the second paragraph). As with many users I have come across in the past, I do intend to work together despite the disruptive behavior. Although I do not have any problems going the Administrative Desk to reach a consensus should this behavior continues. It was strange how you took an interest in those pages only after I began editing them, and no I am not ownership. Horizonlove (talk) 03:37, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
@Horizonlove: I assumed when you said it was my third violation, you were talking about my SPI case. I already explained after I saw your songwriting inclusion on one page, I checked through a couple of other pages and saw they were included. I don't like the accusation. I don't feel like checking 3 past edits constitutes being accused for hounding. However, I am not looking to check your history again since I don't want another one of these petty confrontations. I've said to another person before so I'll say to you: wikipedia and its editor's histories are public domain. If you feel like I am hounding you after looking at 3 other pages you've edited on, that's you getting bothered by it. You've only asked me to stop once, so I didn't even know or aware that you felt like I was hounding you.. then boom all of a sudden I am "in violation of hounding" you three times. I am not! I don't like bad blood with any wikipedia editor. Any future edits that you've edited on that I edit on will be purely coincidental. I don't want to be involved in this kind of thing. I can say that I've only checked your history about twice.. which doesn't translate into 'constantly'. --Jennica / talk 03:43, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: Please stop following me! Thank you Horizonlove (talk) 04:52, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Horizonlove: - I'm not. I already told you if we ever crossed paths again it would be by pure coindcidence. You are ridiculous to be this disrespectful to me. I edited on a page you created [BUT YOU DO NOT OWN] because I found it on the newly listed album pages - which I check every day. Stay off my talk page! --Jennica / talk 04:54, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: I don't recall saying I own anything. I recall saying "Please stop following me!". Horizonlove (talk) 05:41, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Horizonlove: - And you have it in your head wrong! I am NOT following you. I am not checking your history. You really need to get over it that I did check a few of your edits because your Personnel formatting was incorrect. You're really not listening to anything I'm saying. --Jennica / talk 05:42, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Horizonlove: - you are still relatively new here. A member for almost 2 years [I have a stats userscript]. I've been here for 11 years. If you compare my edit history to yours, it indicates that I am in no way following you. I am not going right behind you and editing pages. I came across a page you had put songwriter in Personnel, so I checked to see if you did it on other pages. That is it. You really are going overboard with these accusations. So please stop accusing me of something I'm not doing. I'm in the middle of editing album pages. You're stuck on this subject. Maybe you should spend less time worrying about who the next user is on the edit log and just keep editing. You seem a little wound up. --Jennica / talk 05:55, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: Quite frankly, I don't mind edits, but I prefer them to be productive. When writting a page, I look at the best layouts (good articles) and use them a rough draft. In this case, I use the Beyonce-related articles Dangerously in Love and B'Day to create the Joi Cardwell pages. Those pages were done by admins and experienced-users. So when it comes to crediting the songwriter in the Personnel area, if they didn't see it as a violation, then it isn't. And personally I don't see any problem in it being there. Overall, I'm not claiming ownership of articles, but I would prefer it if edits towards the page were productive in the sense of expanding the article more. Horizonlove (talk) 07:05, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Horizonlove: - I stick to the formatting side more. I helped take one article to Good Article status. One of my goals is to make everything consistent to the WP:MOSALBUM. I don't really peg myself as much of the writer kind of editor. --Jennica / talk 07:10, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: If you feel that it is really productive and not just part of some 'I think it's redundant' feeling, then free feel to change it back. I will not oppose this time. I would like to note this.. A lot of users of Wikipedia comes off very combative and dismissive to people who work hard to gather the resources to make an article meet the GNG. I've seen a few editors retire from Wikipedia because of this. Please keep that mind. This is why we have talk pages; to discuss these things. Horizonlove (talk) 07:16, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Horizonlove: I am not targeting you. If the recording location was included twice [once in the infobox and another time in Personnel], I'd remove it from Personnel. Songwriting has a place in the track listing and I feel like it's pointless to list it twice. Composer credits are removed from Personnel for the same reason. On Beyonce's Lemonade, we wouldn't include all the songwriters that are listed in the track listing in the Personnel section. It would be gratuitous. I don't want bad blood between any editor and I [except this one sockpuppet who keeps coming back after getting banned lol].. so just know I am not following you. --Jennica / talk 07:21, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: Well then I'm apologize and I hope that we can move forward from here. Horizonlove (talk) 07:27, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Please Help Bare References on Article

Hello Jennica, Please help us on Daniel Padilla article. Many bare references. Thank you in advance Puchicatos (talk) 07:08, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

@Puchicatos: hi. I ran it through this site and none came up, unless I'm not seeing them? --Jennica / talk 07:37, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: seems like the tool didn't work, ya try to open edit section please.
(talk page stalker) @Puchicatos: are you aware of what a bare reference is? It's a reference that is not formatted to a cite template, like Template:Cite web or Template:Cite news, and essentially is either just a URL or a link using brackets and maybe a title. From what I can see from scanning that article, it doesn't really have any bare refs. Some have incomplete parameters, yes, but that's not a bare ref. Ss112 10:20, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
@Ss112: Ya I did, because I active contributor of the page and inserted many bare references before.Puchicatos (talk) 10:33, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
@Puchicatos: - there literally are zero. No offense but I don't know why you wouldn't just fix it yourself or learn how to, because it is quite easy. I checked the edit history of the page and you seem capable of making a full reference using cite web. I'm not sure why you'd need my assistance. I'm glad to help but there was nothing to assist with. --Jennica / talk 10:42, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
Exactly what Jennica said. A number of references are just not in template format. Most have dates, some have publishers or even the website; many actually have archived URLs, just not in a template. I'm confused about why if you inserted them yourself, you are asking for help when you could have filled them out yourself upon adding them/done so yourself now. Ss112 10:45, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: I asking for help because I thought may be you have any tools that could convert all the bare references at once. I was unaware with the bare references consequences. That's how I found your name on the citation page and asked for help. Thank you. Puchicatos (talk) 11:00, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

Thank you! ツ

Dear Jennica,
This is to record my deep appreciation of the amendments you applied to ODDiTTiES last night. It's good to know that you are eagle-eyed in applying MOS:ALBUM in a consistent way, and I am grateful to you for the value you add to my creative efforts when I am not as diligent as I should be.
Which conjures up a bit of a riddle: if I consider myself a wikignome, then does that make you a gnome's gnome?
It's good to have you around, Jennica. Please keep up the good work you're doing, and please keep well and joyful, also.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 20:14, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

Copying your infox

Hello, i apologise for doing it, but i copied your infobox to my sandbox. I hope you dont mind. —usernamekiran (talk) 06:35, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

@Usernamekiran: - I am curious for what reason?--Jennica / talk 06:53, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
I find it easy to copy entire templates, and then change the details within it. I edited many pages with the same including Indian Armed Forces, and Buldhana district. You should visit these two pages including my sandbox :-p
strangely, recently I'm not getting notifications when someone pings me or mentions me by {{User|sample user}}. Any idea why this might be happening? I'm not sure though, do you or do you not mind me copying it? —usernamekiran (talk) 15:04, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
PS: I'm successfully getting notifications if {{reply to|username}} template is used. —usernamekiran (talk) 15:13, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Jennica misspelled your name the first time, and edited it to be correct. This breaks pinging, which will only happened when a signature is used in the same edit. One way around this is to update the timestamp in your signature when you fix a typo in a ping. -- ferret (talk) 15:14, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

@Usernamekiran: - okay that's fine I suppose. It's a Wikipedian infobox though so I'm not sure how much use it has across wikipedia articles. --Jennica / talk 16:50, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

  • @Ferret: I'm a little confused here. I'm not sure whom you are referring to as (talk page stalker): me, Jennica, or yourself lol. In case you are referring to me, I'm not one   I never do do this actually. I had to check it cuz I was aware I'm not getting notifications. I only keep an eye on user's contributions if they make odd edits on any articles relating to JFK. I've found out of experience that it is a good policy to weed out vandals.
@Jennica: did you see the pages I mentioned? :-p —usernamekiran (talk) 17:00, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

btw, I need to rework my profile page, as you can see it is a huge mess now lol. That's why I copied the infobox. I thought you created it, I had never seen it before. As most of the contributors I come across are newbies. And the admins/senior users I'm on good terms with, they are sort of "serious" guys. As I'm active only in the articles related to JFK. These guys even talk like robots. —usernamekiran (talk) 17:11, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

Usernamekiran - oh okay :) I can't remember how I found it but infoboxes have identifiers at the top the coding. This one is "{{Infobox Wikipedia user". I usually google that to find the template info, so I know what parameters I can play with. Here's the documentation on the wikipedian one. Template:Infobox Wikipedia user --Jennica / talk 17:50, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: thanks :)
@Ferret: oh lol —usernamekiran (talk) 18:53, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
  • hello, I'm almost done with my new profile page. Would you please take a look at it? I mean, would please let me know if it is okay technically, and on the visual levels?
  • I searched about creating a second sandbox, but I couldn't find any usable results. Would please tell me how to create second sandbox? Thanks a lot, your stalker for few more hours.  usernamekiran (talk) 10:13, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
Usernamekiran: You can create any page in your user space by visiting it, say, with the search box, and clicking the "start page' link. It doesn't have to include "sandbox" in its name, and it can be nested under another page. (From my draft space: User:Rebbing/Drafts/Jessica Burroughs.) Rebbing 18:00, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Rebbing hi. Thanks for the advice. I actually created this second sandbox previously. But i am not sure if i can post the vandalism warnings there as experiment, as one can do in sandbox. This article says a user can create a page in userspace and then designate it as sandbox. But it doesnt say how to designate it. As you can see on my primary sandbox, i have done experiments that i am not sure i can do on other pages. Would you please take a look at that. And also, would you please take a look at my profile, to see if I have put something there which is not allowed on wiki project sites? I am fery sorry to trouble you like that, but i dont know who else to ask. And no matter what n how many articles i read on wikipedia, they do not even talk about doubts. :-/ i apologise again, and thanks a lot. :) —usernamekiran (talk) 18:21, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

hi, as Rævhuld was trying to create disturbance regarding JFK through legitimate methods of wikipedia, i had added his talkpage to my watchlist (JFK means a lot to me lol, so it is my policy to keep an eye on activities of users which i suspect for vandalising JFK related articles). Recently he did some edits there, and now i think he has requested to archive all the discussions of his talkpage, i am not sure what it is. If his talkpage becomes clear again, he might start creating disturbances again. Would you please take a look at his talkpage? Thanks a lot.  usernamekiran (talk) 17:54, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

@Usernamekiran: - I am not an admin... I have an inkling that you think I am? --Jennica / talk 18:06, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
@Usernamekiran: - okay, it seems odd that he would put that disclaimer at the top of his talk page, even though his account is only 2 weeks old. I'm not really sure if he's trying to cause deliberate disturbances, but maybe keep an eye on his edits. what do you mean by "legitimate methods of wikipedia"? I only see that he's made edits to the JFK talk page. I'm trying to understand all the details. --Jennica / talk 21:38, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
@Jennica: Here is the old version of deleted discussion regarding ANI. I mean, it seems like he wants to cause trouble, he tried to initiate a heated discussion regarding JFK. It was an alleged quote by Jack, the user said:
"I will splinter the CIA into thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds" and three months later he was dead. We should add this to article.
Or something like that. When i visited his talkpage, i realised he has done similar things elsewhere (described in e link above). But he had done them in such way, that it wouldnt be constituted as vandalism, but it would create heated discussion among other users for sure. It is like taking two free lefts on a cirlce (cross road?) to make a straight, ie breaking the signal without breaking the rule :-D —usernamekiran (talk) 21:58, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

- perhaps they are a sockpuppet. and thanks for the music recommendations. i'll try to work them into my long list  --Jennica / talk 23:17, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

yes they maybe sock-puppets. I talked with an admin, he says his edits look like as of an experienced user. Another guy said opposite.
lol. Try listening these on youtube: Cascada (german): evacuate the dancefloor, enemy acoustic, glorious acoustic. Little boots (british): remedy, motorway, earthquake, satellite, every night i say a prayer, broken record. B*Witched (irish). The identical twin sisters are siblings of Shane Lynch from boyzone. Unplugged performance by the corrs. Oh, oh and Natasha Bedingfield.
did you see my photo on my page? You might like it. It willion haven be took in June 2017.  usernamekiran (talk) 00:59, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
@Usernamekiran: Haha I know B*Witched from when I was a kid. do you like the cranberries? --Jennica / talk 01:47, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
yes. I sort of love them. I first heard them in "you've got mail", dreams, when i was a kid. I love Meg Ryan! :-D My ex used to say, she finds voice of cranberris depressing, no matter what the lyrics is, or how the music/tune of the song is.   She told me they sing in high octave, or something like that. If i listen to lyrics, i find "Fire & Soul" very disturbing, but i find it good for ears lol. There is similar song by Massive Attack, "Teardrop". I havent even heard any ther song by them, but i love teardrop. I am still sort of stuck in the 90s, music wise lol.
you didnt say anything about my photo :-/ —usernamekiran (talk) 05:08, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
@Usernamekiran: - I like Teardrop as well. And i don't know what to say about your photo. a shadowed outline of a person? --Jennica / talk 05:10, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
hehehe.
Didnt sleep? —usernamekiran (talk) 05:34, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
  • I apologise. Our conversation got sort of "personal". May I ask you a personal question? Well it is not exactly personal, it is about wikipedia, but still sort of personal. You can decline to answer after hearing it.  usernamekiran (talk) 19:20, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

sure I guess. btw, it wasn't personal. i didn't know what to say to "didn't sleep?" @Usernamekiran: --Jennica / talk 19:53, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

@Usernamekiran: - I have found one and several of his socks after seeing his parent sock edit on a page and when I looked into it further, I saw his former username was blocked. The editing styles were the same. Same edit summaries, and the same kind of editing where when you open the edit history of the page, it was just him in one long list. For trying to find a sock, go to WP:SPI and on the right side of the page is a search bar where you can search the archives. For example, if you were searching for a sock who was going after the JFK page, you'd type in JFK and see if there was a repeat offender. That's the only way I know how to really look. --Jennica / talk 20:05, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
Nice  --Jennica / talk 21:23, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

and sorry for annoying you so much. :-D it is just, i find you an interesting person (nothing to do with your gender), and wanted to talk to you. :) i wont bother you again. I turned this talkpage in chat page lol. I apologise for that too.   take care
PS: if you find something suspicious on wiki, and want to know more about it, please let me know. I am not much good with wiki, but i am very good at psychology, profiling, investigation n similar stuff.  usernamekiran (talk) 22:55, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

I don't know what to say to be honest. --Jennica / talk 23:04, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Archiving my talk page

Hello again :)
I want to archive particular discussions of my talk page, how should i do that?
I tried to follow the methods described on Help:Archiving a talk page, which seems to be problematic, as i ended up creating this talkpage lol.
I apologise that i keep asking you silly/stupid questions.

@Usernamekiran: - I would recommend WP:HELPDESK or the talk page of the archive. I had problems doing mine and had to ask for help --Jennica / talk 16:11, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) A subpage named "Archive 1" is appropriate and correct. Just move the discussions you want to that page, and remove them from your talk page. You will want to add {{tan}} to the top of the subpage. -- ferret (talk) 16:12, 15 March 2017 (UTC)

Adding spaces to headings

Sorry to just start off with a question posted argumentatively, but is it really necessary to add this on every album page you edit now? I don't think it's necessary to space out headings. Personally I think it just adds unnecessary bytes of data to the page. Wikipedia might assign spaces by default when one uses the "new section" function on talk pages and other such automated processes, but there's sometimes been a deliberate choice on album articles and such to leave the headings as they are. When they are inconsistent, it's fine to fix them to whatever style is most prominent, but I don't think it qualifies as "clean up" or a "formatting [fix]" to add spaces to headings. Ss112 23:21, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi. @Ss112: do you mean adding spaces in between the equal signs and the header? I don't go to pages to specifically do that. I usually do another smaller fix and then I have a userscript that checks for formatting fixes --Jennica / talk 23:25, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I meant separating the equal signs from the header text. It's strange that a script is spacing headings in such a way though, as I mean, whichever way you look at it, it's not really much of a "fix"—it's more of a style preference. Ss112 23:32, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
@Ss112: - I don't know why this userscript does that. I use User:TMg/autoFormatter and User talk:GregU/dashes.js and they both do this. It didn't even occur to me that it would be annoying/adding bytes. I'll try to get with the creators and see if they can stop it or look into the coding myself. It says right on the autoformatter's page it "Format headlines with spaces inside the equal signs." --Jennica / talk 23:34, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
I've noticed this as well, and find it a bit annoying/pointless. I think the script you and other editors are using to make these corrections also adds unnecessary spaces to formatting such as changing < br > (minus the spaces I've added) to < br />, which I don't see as being a 'fix' at all.Nqr9 (talk) 10:34, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

@Ss112: @Nqr9: - The creator of one of the tools got back to me about it. He says: "this replacement is that the wikitext looks much more natural with these spaces. "   Also, sometimes I have to use that userscript or it won't let me use the dashes one. Mostly on a particular user's article. --Jennica / talk 16:34, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

No problem. Until reading this discussion, I thought that it was editors deliberately adding pointless spaces.Nqr9 (talk) 01:19, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

Humanz

I bet you anything that IP or some other "this should be done because it's been done elsewhere" IP will turn up at Humanz and say the singles/songs should be put in alphabetical order and argue the release order is unclear/non-existent. Ss112 22:49, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

Hello

Why have you put so many sub-section headings on so many articles? It's completely not needed.  — Calvin999 10:21, 26 March 2017 (UTC)

@Calvin999: I hate it but it's what was discussed here. I am completely against it but apparently it is more accessible for screenreader users this way? I don't agree with it at all. If you feel up to it, I hope you can chime in there.--Jennica / talk 19:51, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
It is completely pointless. There's so much there, is there a specific point relating to usage in music articles or credit sections?  — Calvin999 21:33, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
@Calvin999: There is no compromise apparently. I prefer the bold way and many others who use screenreaders said bold is okay for them but semicolons is the last preferred method. There is no specific point relating to music articles - but that admin is adamant the subheaders are the way to go, even though as Walter pointed out, it creates small sections and that is frowned upon also. I think I'll refrain from doing anymore until a clearer guideline is made. In some articles, the subheaders just do not fit. Yesterday I discovered a user whose contribution history is full of breaking up the External links with sections. Hammersmith_Palais#External_links this is what that formatting would look like if we adhere to this proposed formatting change.   And another thing, it would look even more ridiculous on the Notes and Sample credits under the track listing of a lot of album pages. --Jennica / talk 22:51, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Another example: Steve_Vai#Band_history would look ridiculous under this new way. --Jennica / talk 23:26, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Yeah completely contradicts the small sub section philosophy.  — Calvin999 08:22, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

=Hi Jennica

Sorry this is our first attempt at creating a page

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Paul_Moran_(_British_Musician_)

You have said there are too many primary Sources.

Prior to this I was told there was not enough important information and reviews about Paul Moran and verifiable reviews

So I spent ages getting together other links from Wiki and other reliable sources

Sorry I am really trying hard here but clearly missing something

Please can you tell me in plain English what I am doing wrong ?

Hope you can help

PLease can you tell me how not to have the page speedily deleted

I have spent hours putting this together - hence I put it forward as a draft to prevent deletion

while I learn what is needed

Thx

John — Preceding unsigned comment added by Webjectives (talkcontribs) 19:40, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

@Webjectives: - yeah, it's a mess. Don't put spaces between the word and parenthesis; don't make citations to other wikipedia pages; don't put random links in the middle of an article. Album titles get italicized, not bold. Singles get put in quotation marks and nothing more. Putting a list of reviews in the article is a no-no. Look at Van Morrison's page and how it's set up and model it around something like that. I'm just being brutally honest. Look at a Manual of Style for better formatting tips. see MOS:BIO --Jennica / talk 20:47, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for your feedback.

I will continue to work on the page around this

Bare references

Hi Jennica,

Thank you for trying to fill in those bare references. I am not sure if you are familiar with toollabs:refill, more information can be found here Template:Cleanup bare URLs. The reason why I leave bare links is that I will either fill them in later or hope that a bot will be able to fill them better since it is a tedious and time-consuming operation to fill them in correctly manually. I have edited your contributions in this article [7], please take a closer look to see how it should end up looking correctly. Thank you. Gryffindor (talk) 23:13, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

@Gryffindor: - I am familiar with reFill and the other ref tool "Reflinks". I didn't know a bot filled them in since I come across a lot of pages with a lot of bare references. I don't know how long it takes for the bot to come and get them. I regularly fill in bare references using reFill. I was actually going to suggest on your talk page that you could use {{Cleanup bare URLs|date=April 2017}} so people who monitor the bare references can come clean it up. I am not really sure what you mean by "please take a closer look to see how it should end up looking correctly." since it doesn't really matter if they are formatted the vertical way or just the standard way. I prefer not formatting them vertically. Either way is correct --Jennica / talk 23:46, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
Hi Jennica. If you take a look at the edits in the article I previously mentioned, you will see that the correct reference templates are now used. For example Template:Cite encyclopedia, Template:Cite book, and Template:Cite AV media are now implemented. The Template:Google books is now integrated into the Template:Cite book, as opposed to previously as just a stand-alone. When using the Template:Cite web where applicable, please try to ensure that the correct parameters are used. In your edits here [8] you have placed correctly the Template:Cite web, however the parameter "work" is potentially misleading, the parameter "website" would be more correct. Also if more parameters can be filled in, the more complete the information would be. I have used the vertical format because it makes reading and editing the information easier, but that is just a personal preference. I hope my feedback makes sense? Gryffindor (talk) 09:53, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
@Gryffindor: - okay, yeah it makes sense. I had checked "Use the base domain name as work when this information cannot be parsed" on the reFill, so that may be why. --Jennica / talk 09:56, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
I know it's tedious work. But going forward if you could please work with those reference templates and parameters as concisely as possible, that would be an immense support and greatly appreciated. Gryffindor (talk) 10:03, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

Reference Clean-up

Hi Jennica, You recently cleaned-up the references on Future_Islands by giving ref names to the repeated ones. You seem to have it automatically. If so, is it possible to let me know how it's done? That was really great: cleaning up the references was gonna be my next step in trying to develop that article, but I only know how to do it manually. You saved me a lot of work. Thank you! Wapunguissa (talk) 14:19, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

@Wapunguissa: - hi! I used a tool called reFill located here. It's really easy to use. You just copy and paste the article name into it and click "Fix page". I always remove the checkmark from "do not add access dates", and add a checkmark to "Use the base domain name as work when this information cannot be parsed". When you click fix, scroll to the bottom and click "Preview/Save on Wiki". In the last few days I use the search and replace to change "work=" to "website=". I suppose this is optional but an admin recently brought it to my attention. --Jennica / talk 22:17, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

Website/work

In regards to your edits to Memories...Do Not Open, shouldn't website be used for "Billboard.com" or "www.billboard.com", while work should be used if it's just the name of the publication? It just seems a bit strange to use the website parameter if it only says "Billboard" or "Entertainment Weekly". Okay, Template:Cite web says the "work" parameter is actually an alias of "website". That's news to me! Ss112 03:09, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Despacito - Chart succession (section)

Thanks for your contributions to the Despacito article. However, I want to know why you deleted the 'Chart succession' section. Brankestein (talk) 22:22, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

Forgive me, I did not see the table at the bottom of the article. I noticed that you deleted all sources there. When I nominated the article for a Good Article status, the reviewer criticized the lack of sources on that table. That is why I added them. Brankestein (talk) 22:33, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
@Brankestein: - That's weird though. I always thought they belonged at the bottom. Maybe it's different for songs? But on articles like kings/queens and who preceded and succeeded them, they are always at the bottom. You an change it back if you want. --Jennica / talk 23:05, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

Tears on the Dancefloor

I have changed it back to work= and non-italics. All of the other sources, including the Official Charts Company sources, use work= as a parameter, not website=. Also, OCC is not a news publisher, film/TV title etc, so it is not to be italicised. I have also removed the linking as it is not the first usage of a OCC source in the article, and only the first instance should be linked in order to prevent over-linking. Please keep these points in mind for your edits in the future. Your user page says about letting you know if you make a mistake to let you know, so that's all I'm doing.  — Calvin999 07:30, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

@Calvin999: - I only changed the work= thing on that page. I am aware of the overlinking rules and I didn't do any of that on that page. I never touched the OCC thing, so please look back on the edit history. --Jennica / talk 07:32, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
Hi Jennica. If it's about the http, I normally use the field "url". The field "website" would be the name of the site, for example "White House" or so. "Works" to me sounds like a book or movie. You can check on this page Template:Cite web for more details and explanation, it can be confusing at first I agree. Feel free to use this as an example in your discussion. Gryffindor (talk) 07:45, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
But work= is what is most commonly used. We used to use both work and publisher, but publisher has become quite redundant. There's no need to use both URL and website. Also, for Bon Appetit, quotations in the lead must be sourced, else it has to be paraphrased.  — Calvin999 08:43, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

Anonimity

I'm kind of surprised you would put your age and state and other info on here as well as political affiliation. Most other users on here seemingly have a worry about who knows what about them and all that jazz. - Informant16 May 1, 2017

@Informant16: - well, thanks to your comment, I've taken some info off. I don't know why anybody would give a crap about my political affiliation, or my age. I didn't think it was harmful information. --Jennica / talk 20:54, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
I hope I don't appear to be intrusive. I was saying that as a way of conveying how different it was from other users pages I had seen. Also, there are some such as myself who are admittedly of the opposite sex and want relationships with females that are emboldened to approach you on here by knowing what demographic you fit into, i.e. a young female that is involved with the same activity of editing that they are into. Whatever form of attention you receive from them knowing that isn't your fault but if you want to keep the potential pursuers even further then not disclosing your gender leaves them without a clue. I'd compare it to Xbox Live when male users discover another person playing is female on the voice chat and bombard her with attention. She can't help what she is but they can help themselves to not pay attention to it. - Informant16 May 1, 2017
@Informant16: I already had someone be creepy on my page about a month ago. I actually had my photo up. I figured why not? Some guy on here wanted to be "pen pals" and it "wasn't because I was a female or anything". And I've also been that person on voice chat on grand theft auto where people are shocked to find out I'm a female. It's weird. I guess I should be a little more secretive. --Jennica / talk 21:05, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
That's part of the problem with the current climate of society. If a male doesn't feel they are receiving any attention from women in their real life, then they turn to the internet to exercise their interests in the opposite sex. So whoever that was I would wager likely is not getting any attention in dating or is being rejected. I believe the reason you didn't think anything would happen if you had your photo up was due to not having the inclining that some males have where if you can't have relations with women physically then do it online where you can let loose and likely get a lesser consequence. - Informant16 May 1, 2017

(talk page stalker)@TheAmazingPeanuts: Pending changes isn't much different from patrolling your watchlist, looking at edit diffs, and deciding it should be reverted. Special:PendingChanges will list articles that currently have changes needing to be reviewed. You look at what was changed, and either accept the changes, or revert them. Until approved, these changes can't be seen by other readers. The same basic idea as any revert applies here... if you are rejecting changes for some reason other than vandalism, you should type in that reason, such as "MOS guidelines" or "Unsourced additions". The rule of thumb is to say why you're reverting unless its just obvious vandalism. This really applies to any revert so its nothing too crazy. -- ferret (talk) 11:40, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
@Ferret: Thanks for give me a clear view of that. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 06:53, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

"Fever In Winter, Shiver In June"

It's not possible to find much info about the album (reviews and such) because of its old age and most of it is in french. However, I still find it to be notable because of the musician's following work which was a lot more popular than this one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HalleyC0met (talkcontribs) 19:24, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

@HalleyC0met: Even though it's old, it still needs a review, or maybe some chart info and google translate can do whole webpages now so it's possible to find something. There are reasons why I put the notability tag up, and it isn't a 'bash' or something take offense to. Please take a look at WP:NALBUM for the full guidelines. --Jennica / talk 20:10, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

Album articles

Hi I noticed your numerous changes fixing album articles I created and directing me to WP:MOSALBUM. I have since tried to read it over and be careful to follow it when creating new articles, and I apologize for not adhering to it before. I wanted to ask you if you see any similar mistakes in the 3 album articles I have created most recently (Killers and Stars, Heat Lightning Rumbles in the Distance, and You and Me, Ghost), so I can get more feedback on making sure I'm doing this right. Thanks. Everymorning (talk) 03:42, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

@Everymorning: hi. The first one looked good. I made some changed on the second one. I have recently been erasing or omitting altogether a sentence about what kind of reception a review has received. It's better to let the prose or review scores speak for themselves, and anything that says guitars (electric) or vocals (background) should be typed out accordingly: "background vocals", "electric guitar". I can be picky but I just prefer to stick to the MOS :) --Jennica / talk 04:55, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

How is that vandalism?

Lmao Im only putting the right information which you clearly lack. You keep summarizing the actual critical reception which you didn't do with the other artists. Kitkateey (talk) 17:31, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

PROD

Hi, you recently PRODed two articles (Badbin and Pura Sal (album)) with the rationales they were not notable. Could you explain why you believe them to be non-notable, and add those reasons to the rationale? Thank you. Linguisttalk|contribs 15:57, 14 May 2017 (UTC).

@Linguist111: - well the first one has no charting info or reviews. Nothing of note. It fails WP:NALBUMS. The second one just has iTunes links as sources. It doesn't prove notability. There's nothing of note. No reviews or charting info, and on top of that it's poorly formatted, but that's easily fixable.--Jennica / talk 16:45, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your explanations! Linguisttalk|contribs 11:18, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

DYK for Bon Appétit (song)

On 19 May 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bon Appétit (song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Katy Perry first teased the release of her song "Bon Appétit" with a cherry pie recipe? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bon Appétit (song). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Bon Appétit (song)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Non-breaking spaces

Why would you remove them? Per WP:DASH, they should remain to keep from a line break. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 00:04, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

@Koavf: - for every instance of a dash? I didn't know this, my bad. --Jennica / talk 00:16, 20 May 2017 (UTC)
Some of the language is different from the last time that I saw this MoS page but you'll notice the examples still use a non-breaking space (take a look at the source here):
<nowiki>
* Pairing performers with instruments:
** {{xt|James Galway – flute; Anne-Sophie Mutter – violin; Maurizio Pollini – piano.}}
* Showing track durations on an album:
** {{xt|"The Future" – 7:21}}
** {{xt|"Ain't No Cure for Love" – 6:17}}
** {{xt|"Bird on the Wire" – 6:14.}}
No problem. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 00:25, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

thanks

Hey, Jennica,

thanks for tweaking and cleaning up the article I started and giving me pointers on improving it, too. Will use that next time. Cheers,

You have made this edit to the article, but I see some errors with this edit especially in the charts section, so fix them for you. Make sure to look at the edits you made while using AWB. Thank you. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 18:41, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Ellen McILwaine

Thanks for your message. Please note that I haven't yet finished editing the article on 'The Real Ellen McIlwaine' album - will upgrade formatting and references ASAP as requested. Cheers. Dunks (talk) 00:06, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

Deprodding of Take Heart (The Sam Willows album)

I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}} tag from Take Heart (The Sam Willows album), which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think this article should be deleted, please do not add {{proposed deletion}} back to the file. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:08, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Just for reference, I didn't de-prod the article. I was doing some cleanup, noticed that it had been de-prodded by another editor and decided to notify you as a courtesy. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:10, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Heatstroke (song) genre

Hi User:Jennica, can you get genre(s) for "Heatstroke" from any reliable sources please? I've looked and no luck. If you can, the sort of genres to look for are nu-disco, dance-pop, disco rap, synth-funk and contemporary R&B, cheers. --Theo Mandela (talk) 22:37, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
