Thanks as always for your help on album articles. One small problem is that you are changing proper spaced ndashes in ranges to unspaced. I'm assuming that you are using some script or somesuch, so I recommend changing those settings. Thanks. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 08:02, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

@Koavf: My quip is that the nbsp is just a space, it's not apart of the dash code. I was doing some general cleaning and didn't think it would really matter in the infobox. --Jennica / talk 00:52, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewing

Hello, Jennica.

As one of Wikipedia's most experienced Wikipedia editors,
Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. Thanks. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 09:54, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Redirecting articles

Hey, when you create redirects, can you please make sure the title is sourced or at least mentioned at the target article? Yes, sure, most of the music world is now learning Drake's album due out in June is titled Scorpion, but it's still not sourced at the article. I keep telling other users to do this, otherwise it can (at least, for a lesser-known artist and if there aren't reliable sources out there backing it up) be construed as WP:OR. Thanks. Outside (Burna Boy album)

Hi Jennica, Hope all is well on your end? I added sources to the Outside (Burna Boy album) article using the default cite web template. Instead of utilizing the template's |last and |first fields, I used the |author field to list the authors' names. I'd like to know if there is some kind of automated tool that can convert |author into |last and |first. Ss112 suggested that you might be able to help me out with this. I'd appreciate a response, thanks.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 15:43, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Versace1608 (talk · contribs) Hello. There is this tool Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser. It's been awhile since I've used it but there is a "find and replace" function on there that would change what you want. In this case you would put "|author" in find, and |last |first in "replace". --Jennica / talk 01:50, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

@Versace1608: Actually, upon re-reading your issue, I don't think it's possible via that tool because it has to separate the first and last name. I'm not even close to as active as I used to be on here. I'm sorry I can't help more.. --Jennica / talk 05:48, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply Jennica. I'll just have to do it manual. The article has already passed the GA criteria so I'm in no rush to get this done. I hope you're staying safe and hope you become active again; you are vital to Wikipedia.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 13:22, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

nested quotes

Hi, Jennica. Thanks for this edit. One quick thing: the |quote= parameter puts doublequotes around its value. So we have to be careful about quote marks within the |quote= parameter to keep the nesting correct. For example in the quote that contained

40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually, before the World Trade Center, was the tallest—and then, when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second tallest,Trump said in the WWOR interview. And now it’s the tallest.

we probably want to keep those as typographical quotes there. Because if we change it to the

"40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually, before the World Trade Center, was the tallest—and then, when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second tallest," Trump said in the WWOR interview. "And now it's the tallest."

that you used, the quoting structure isn't quite right because part of the text from the source ends up unquoted in the rendered reference. Quotes within the quotes is the one time I tend to use the typographical quotes rather than straight because there's often not a more elegant solution. Speedy deletion nomination of Billy Wayne Davis

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Billy Wayne Davis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 24.183.96.14 (talk) 10:59, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
