  Hello, Jennifereickemeyer. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Yuneec International, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Ahunt (talk) 13:24, 6 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I am related to the company Yuneec. But the information on the Yuneec site is not up to date. The company now has a different direction, which is not made clear in the article and thus readers get not the correct information about Yuneec. What can I do to edit an article even if I am related to the company? Of course we will use non promotional texts, but documented facts. For example, I would like to customize the History text as follows. All facts are evidence available.

At the beginning of 2017, Yuneec presented its first product for the commercial market, the H520, and closed a gap in the commercial UAV segment with the attractively priced, modular Copter.[1] The H520 is available with different payloads (high-resolution cameras, thermal imaging cameras and zoom cameras[2]) and in different versions, e.g. as RTK[3] or LTE and encryption version via the Skyhopper module.[4] Especially for the US market, Yuneec developed together with 3DR the Yuneec 3DR H520-G, a drone made in America, which is tailored to the security regulations for drones in the public sector and can therefore be used in sensitive government and military projects.[5] The H520 is also used in many other sectors and applications, such as police[6], fire brigade[7], construction/architecture[8], surveying, mapping[9] and inspection[10]

Please understand that as an encyclopedia, Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources state about a subject. Wikipedia has no interest in what a subject wants to say about itself; primary sources like press releases, routine announcements, staff interviews, or other similar sources aren't usually acceptable as sources, as they are not independent. If there is incorrect information in an article, we want to know what it is, but you should avoid directly editing the article. Instead, you may make edit requests on the article talk page that can be reviewed by an independent editor or editors.
You will also need to review and formally comply with the conflict of interest and paid editing policies; the latter is a Terms of Use requirement if you are paid to edit or an employee. 331dot (talk) 10:02, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
The article Yuneec International actually does indicate the company's new product focus right in the lead para. But, being a history article, it still will cover the company history as it does now. Is is going to say what the company PR department wants it to say? No, but as noted you can make edit requests on Talk:Yuneec International and they will be reviewed for inclusion. As noted you will need to provide third-party refs to support these requests. - Ahunt (talk) 11:49, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
