Hi, quick question.
Would you mind elaborating on “you know who” for us? Who is he? It might explain why you declined the draft submission of one of the biggest Rabbis of the past 200 years ;)
I will add additional details and try again.
Regards. Jimboson (talk) 18:49, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Youknowwhoistheman has every right to anonymity. You have every right to ask them the reason behind their decline, though the notice is specific, and they may or may not choose to answer your other question.
You appear to imply something. Why not get off the fence and say what you mean? 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:58, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, 'you know who' is commonly used to refer to Adolf Hitler, especially nowadays. I wasn't asking for his name; I was asking who 'you know who' was because the reason he gave for declining the submission was that the figure didn't seem notable enough. The Rabbi in question was the Chief Rabbi of multiple cities, including Łódź, one of the largest Jewish cities in Europe. He was one of the most prominent Rabbis of his time. Therefore, I had a suspicion that the real reason for the rejection was a reluctance to allow information about Jews on Wikipedia.
Now, 'you know who' could also be a reference to Voldemort from Harry Potter, but I’m a pragmatist and have encountered shocking antisemitism on this platform before. So I apologize, but the realist in me feels like this might be a disingenuous, hateful figure. Jimboson (talk) 23:49, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't think the decline has anything to do with antisemitism – please don't make claims like that without strong evidence; its much more likely that the declining user just didn't think the topic was notable. I have asked for explanation as to why (since Meisel does look notable in my opinion). BeanieFan11 (talk) 00:02, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I hope it was a genuine mistake. I apologize for my edgy demeanor and will work on giving people the benefit of the doubt. It’s hard nowadays; I’ve never lived through a time like this. There’s such a massive movement against Jews coming from both sides—the left and the extreme right. Jimboson (talk) 00:25, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Unfounded and veiled (initially) allegations of racial/religious prejudice here and elsewhere suggest to me that an unblock is unlikely to be forthcoming 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 07:18, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
