Why?
Can you explain the reason for all the reverts to files such as File:Courage intertitle.jpg. I see little to no change and it almost appears to be redundancy on the servers resources (not to mention hosting many many copies of a copyrighted image). You appear to be a very active user, but I'm curious if this is hastiness or an attempt to increase your edit count. If it the first, please slow down. If its the second, this is not a valid reason for these changes. If it neither, then please tell me why? Kindly Calmer Waters 04:54, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll explain. I've took this screenshot from the opening Courage the Cowardly Dog episode Courage Meets Bigfoot (original airdate: November 26, 1999.) from the Cartoon Network 9 Creepy Capers DVD with the VLC media player to illustrate the Courage the Cowardly Dog article. The screenshot is copyrighted by Cartoon Network, and the DVD is copyrighted 2004 by Warner Home Video. I don't need to change it now. JJ98 (Talk) 05:13, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- And yes, Courage the Cowardly Dog originally ran for four seasons from 1999 to 2002 on Cartoon Network. I've been editing the Courage the Cowardly Dog too much. I think the only problem is that I cannot upload any more excessive copyrighted images. Please, I do not wanna take this to ANI anytime soon. JJ98 (Talk) 05:27, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- I can understand if you needed to update the fairuse rational, but that can be done by editing the file itself without having to upload a different version or reverting back to a previous version, which actually creates a new image file each time its done. Just could not understand the rational for the changes between such minute differences in the pixel sizes as the images themselves appear identical (especially while looking at the thumb in the article. I only brought this up because of how important it is for us to be careful when dealing with non-free copyrighted images, and wanted to ensure encase this was a misunderstanding of some kind. Kindly Calmer Waters 05:35, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- ANI? I don't believe in taking things to ANI that can be thoughtfully discussed between editors. Calmer Waters 05:40, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I understand. JJ98 (Talk) 08:12, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Final warning
You have been repeatedly asked to stop messing around with those images, re-uploading things, orphaning and de-orphaning them and reverting yourself multiple times. I now see you have continued doing the same on File:Courage intertitle.jpg and probably elsewhere. This is getting disruptive.
Stop it now. This is a final warning. Take an hour off editing, make up your mind what you actually want, and then stick with it. If you continue with your chaotic uploads, I will block you and delete all images from those articles for good. Fut.Perf. ☼ 08:43, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I i'll stop it. JJ98 (Talk) 08:46, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- I am going to leave now, bye. JJ98 (Talk) 09:00, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
So, you went to leave the project, then you went on a wikibreak, then you decided to come back, then you resumed messing around with those same files again, then you take a wikibreak again. Okay, I said I'd block you, so here you go, let's make sure you actually stick with what you decide, for once. Have an enforced wikibreak for the next three weeks. Fut.Perf. ☼ 09:58, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Fine. I will be back for the next few days, probably in May before I get unblocked. BTW, I am still a member of WP:FILM and WP:MILHIST. Also, I have nominated my first GAN, The Life of Larry and Larry & Steve which will probably be a Good article soon. I have a Wikia account, which I edit other Wikis including like Birckapedia and Memory Alpha. Also, I have revamped the Animation portal, and created some Wikipedia books which have in the subpages. Questioning the good faith of the Mfd nominator
See here. Regards. --Kleinzach 00:57, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I've have responded your comments, and I do not want to nominate any inactive WikiProjects for deletion any time soon, because this is a waste of time. I have been nominated some inactive WikiProjects for deletion which have died in 2007 to 2011, including WikiProject Cartoon Network, WikiProject Media franchises and WikiProject Powderfinger which had been already kept. Btw, I going to stop nominating all inactive WikiProjects any time soon, because there is new guideline which was added back in March. I going to quit nominating all inactive WikiProjects myself. Regarding the article "Bolt (character)"
Hi there
I just noticed that you rated the article Bolt (character) on it's quality scale. However, if you are to rate an article C in all four WikiProject ratings, I'd really like to have a bit of an explanation as to why you find that rating suitable and what you think could be improved.Otherwise, I'll delete the rating. To best of my knowledge class C is only suitable for articles that need drastic improvements. The only problem with the article in question is that it's too long (according to some) and that could certainly be discussed as well. However, its language, content and design is not inferior to that of other articles. --Carlminez (talk) 18:44, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
- True, most many articles have C classess, like the WikiProject Animation banner uses the six B-class criteria checklist like WP:JAPAN, WP:ANIME and WP:POLAND. Although the article is almost well written, please see WP:WAF, WP:1.0/Criteria and WP:B-CLASS for more information. JJ98 (Talk) 21:08, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Balboa Park GLAM project
Hello, I hope you are doing well. I recently left a message at WP:SANDIEGO's talk page about a new GLAM collaboration with Balboa Park. I'm contacting you to determine if you'd be interested in participating in the project. The staff there would like to meet with a group of Wikipedians to eventually lead to tours of the museums, image donations, editing collaborations, contests, and other events. If you have any interest at all in helping in any capacity, please list your name at WP:GLAM/BP so we can determine what size group we're looking at. As this collaboration has just started, if you have any questions, comments, ideas, etc., please leave them on the project's talk page. Thank you! --Happy editing! Orphaned non-free image File:Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends Season 1 DVD.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends Season 1 DVD.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Africa category / WikiProject Africa banner
Hi Jj98, I noticed that you posted a WikiProject_Africa banner to the discussion page on Infecting the City. I am pretty new to Wikipedia and how to do things, and I wondered how you came across the article in order to put the banner on the page? Is there a bot that you use for new articles in certain categories, or do you just look for new articles from Africa? Any tips would help Islahaddow (talk) 08:13, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I have placed the WikiProject Africa banner on the talk page. Well, I am not only a member of WikiProject Africa, but it has WP:WikiProject South Africa which already covers articles related to South Africa, including WikiProject Africa which already covers articles related to Africa. There is a auto assess bot like Xenobot Mk V (talk · contribs) and DodoBot (talk · contribs), which automatically tags banners in talk pages. The WikiProject Africa banner has heavily used in almost about 80,000 articles, and it has almost about 70 subprojects and task forces including like WP:WikiProject South Africa and WP:WikiProject Kenya. Why don't you join WikiProject Africa since WikiAfrica is fairly inactive and could use some new members to reactivate it. This seems a duplication effort. JJ98 (Talk) 08:30, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Episodes sections
Hi, I was wondering if you knew of any general guidelines for "episodes" sections in TV articles. Personally, I find them unnecessary unless they contain at least one useful sentence (not including the "Main article..." part, of course). My reason being is that the infobox at the top of the page already links to the list of episodes, so having a section that is essentially just a shell of that link seems a little redundant. What do you think? Paper Luigi Talk • Contributions 00:10, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- I removed it myself. It's not needed. By the way, thank for helping improving the Courage the Cowardly Dog and Dexter's Laboratory articles, although both has scoreing problems. Until both articles improved, it can be ready for GA. JJ98 (Talk) 00:26, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Number of articles in navigation templates
Hi JJ98,
I notice you keep nominating navigation templates for deletion with statements like "navigates 3 articles", but you seem to always not count the articles listed on the top line (generally the primary topic). A navigation template isn't just used to get from the primary topic to the subtopics, but to navigate between any of the articles (including from a subtopic to the primary topic). You should include the primary topic when listing the number of articles the template allows navigation between. For example, Template:GetBackers allows navigation between 5 articles (the main article for Getbackers, the article for the author, the chapter list, the episode list, and the character list). If you make more of these nominations, please include the full count of articles being linked from the template. Calathan (talk) 02:26, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice, but I am going to withdraw my deletion myself. JJ98 (Talk) 05:21, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
Nomination of List of Cartoon Network programing blocks for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of Cartoon Network programing blocks is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Cartoon Network programing blocks until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. JJ98 (Talk) 18:54, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

The quality and importance intersect template produces a quality and importance, when adding on to the banner, which has real time assessment stats. JJ98 (Talk) 00:40, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

AFDs
You've submitted a large number of AFDs recently that either fail to present any valid deletion rationale at all, or that present a completely generic one (see WP:VAGUEWAVE). If you are going to list an article for deletion, you need to follow WP:BEFORE: actually search for sources and judge the article based on its potential, rather than just nominating it based on its current state. You also need to stop listing articles at AFD that can be fixed through normal editing, whether it's by finding sources or merging or redirecting. This is contrary to deletion policy and editing policy. These comments have been made in many of your AFDs, and a large number of them have been closed as "keep" (and a larger number as merge and/or redirect), yet you haven't been improving. postdlf (talk) 04:08, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Greetings! A stub template or category which you created has been nominated for renaming or deletion at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type most likely doesn't meet Wikipedia requirements for a stub type, through failure to meet standards relating to the name, scope, current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals! - Yes I know Theleftorium, unfortunately, I going to leave The Simpsons WikiProject because it makes me disappointing you do not tag the banner in portals, categories, templates, files and project pages in talk pages, because you're model after WP:ANIME, because every time you The Simpsons WikiProject banner from the non-article talk pages like The Simpsons portal. So, I quit your project. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions)11:05, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

- Well, since I left the project, I've been tagging some Simpsons artilces with the {{WikiProject Animation}} and {{WikiProject Television}} banner, and the bot auto assessed some of The Simpsons articles, files with WP:ANIMATION and WP:TV tags. Since you keep removing {{WikiProject The Simpsons}} banner from the portal, project pages, files, templates and categories. So, I deiced to leave the project. Also note, I had that Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire peer reviewed myself, and may reach to a featured article status, since it is GA and well written. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 00:20, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- What exactly is the benefit of having a minor template, category or image tagged as part of the project? Most of them can not be improved in any way, and WP:DOH focuses on mainspace content. I find that most users who tag a lot of articles are either a) looking to make their project seem bigger and more important or b) are fixitated with their edit count. There are much more important tasks than making sure minor pages are part of projects. And you say only "some" articles have been tagged with WP:ANIMATION? The other day, there was a bot tagging just about every single article in the Simpsons and other animation categories (taking over 12 hours and wreaking havoc on many people's watchlists). Even articles that only have a tiny bit to do with animation (ie. MacHomer and The Tracey Ullman Show) have been tagged. -- Scorpion0422 03:22, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Please explain why you are creating an article and then nominating it for deletion within 60 seconds as "non-notable." I have deleted it under CSD G7, but would request you respond to my question here. Taelus (talk) 18:23, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
- In fact, please answer either here or on my talk page. I closed the AfD as it has no reason to remain open any longer. --Taelus (talk) 19:28, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
- Would you also like to explain edits like these: Fucktoon Network, [2]. Also, whilst I am at it, why do you create categories and then nominate them for deletion so rapidly? In some cases you even recreate them after they have been G7'd. I'd appreciate a response on these three things, thank you. --Taelus (talk) 15:33, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Template:WikiProject United States
Greetings, thanks again for your ongoing help in improving the project. The logo is awesome. I noticed you made some improvements to the banner in the sandbox up to the 22nd but it doesn't look like you implemented them yet. Do you want me implement those or were you just experimenting with some things. I have a couple things that I want to add and I didn't want to mess up what you were working on. --Kumioko (talk) 15:39, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Well, yes Kumioko, I've been adding a 5 point checklist similar to WikiProject Film and WikiProject Russia banner. Since the template is protected, you can add {{editprotected}} at Template talk:WikiProject United States to make changes to the banner. Yes, I design it myself with Inkscape, and some of the WikiProject logos myself. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 15:53, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Great thanks. My only reservation about the B-Class checklist is that it does require a fair amount of work to keep it updated but I think that can be worked out. I wonder if it wouldn't be possible to get a bot to update some of them based on some predefined criteria within the article. Are the improvements you did ready for primetime yet? If so I will get them implemented in the next couple days. Other wise I can wait until your done. Either way is fine with me. I am going to add 2 more projects and reorder the order to match what is displayed on the project page. --Kumioko (talk) 16:02, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- I agree, since you're the project coordinator of WikiProject United States, I have not yet improved for primetime myself. Unfortunately, the United States portal did not get promoted to a featured portal status today, I work on the banner myself. Thank you. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 19:01, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- I am going to add a discussion to the talk page of the project for the B class checklist. Since this is a major change I think we should give the other members a chance to comment. I don't think that'll stop it but I think its the right thing to do. I also dropped a note on the bot request page to see if anyone is interested in a bot to update some items on B class checklists. If someone bites Ill start a discussion at the village pump. I saw that about the portal and it is disappointing but not entirely unexpected. Most of the remaining issues relate to filling in the Anniversaries so once thats done I think that well be able to resubmit. Once last question. We are going to exceed the 10 project limit on the template soon. Do you know how to expand that to add another group? I was thinking we should separate National projects from State and Territories. Thanks again for all the help and effort. --Kumioko (talk) 19:25, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

ANI thread
JJ98, I have made a comment on the ANI thread regarding yourself and I was hoping you could answer the two main questions. Thanks, Woody (talk) 10:14, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- Just to make sure I am being clear here, I will summarise the ANI thread in terms of key concerns with your editing.
- Slow down and take time to consider before nominating for deletion. If you nominate something for deletion only to withdraw the nomination 5 minutes - 5 hours later, then there must have been a very strong reason to keep it. Stopping and thinking will allow you to identify this before time. Flooding XfD with rapidly opened/closed nominations is somewhat disruptive.
- The above also applies to making edits. Instead of rapidly editing, undoing and redoing yourself, take your time using the preview button to get the edit right the first time.
- Don't make disruptive edits and then revert yourself to 'hide' them. Vandalism is still vandalism. This point specifically may lead to trouble if incidents like Fucktoon Network repeat themselves in the future.
- Don't create pages if you are immediately going to nominate them for deletion. They shouldn't have been created at all. (See: Courage Wolf for example.)
- I'm also assuming you have read the entire ANI thread as you have responded to many of its points, thus I hope you will take on board the concerns of all users there. (There are also a few outstanding concerns from users who may appreciate a reply, including the above user.) --Taelus (talk) 10:02, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I understand, next time, I will not do that ever again. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 12:20, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Help with Template:WikiProject United States again
Greetings, I have been trying to add a second group of Task forces to Template:WikiProject United States/sandbox and so far cannot seem to get it right. Would you mind helping me with this? There are several more projects that may be added to the template in the next month or so (West Virginia, South Carolina, Presidential elections and Franco Americans so far) more but we are maxed out and at the limits of my technical prowess in these templates. I would greatly appreciate any help. I can do the work if you can add the group, I just can't get the logic right. --Kumioko (talk) 18:02, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, why not. I have a sandbox here which includes the B-Class checklist, however it not tested yet. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 21:12, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- I appreciate it. I think I almost got it but for some reason its not showing up the next group. I assume I missed osmething but Im not sure what. Would you mind taking a look? --Kumioko (talk) 18:44, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Creation and almost instant deletions
Hi Jj98, looking back at the concerns in the (now archived ANI thread, I note that you didn't address or even acknowledge the questions I asked you. I know notice that you recreated Template:Courage the Cowardly Dog with essentially the same content as last time and then put it up for speedy deletion 5 hours later. This is the type of behaviour that is drawing concerns from a number of editors. I have to ask why are you constantly recreating and nominating the same pages for deletion? Copying my question from that ANI thread: "Why are you creating pages and then almost immediately nominating them for deletion. Once they are deleted you are recreating them, sometimes several times. Take the revision history for Talk:Cartoon Network as an example, you added and removed {{not a forum}} at least 10 times in 3 months for no apparent reason. Why? Woody (talk) 10:28, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I know that, because are restricting me to edit around the Cartoon Network articles? Because, I've been editing around the Courage the Cowardly Dog a lot before the official website took down. Yes, I'll member that next time. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 10:31, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- No I'm not restricting you to anything and I don't think anyone else has either. The questions still remain, why are you doing it over and over again on a number of different articles? Why the multiple duplicate edits to Talk:Cartoon Network and why are you creating and then deleting the Courage template? Is there a particular reasoning behind it? Woody (talk) 10:38, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Why have you been uploading files, requesting deletion, re-uploading them, requesting deletion, over and over again? I mean, we have file pages now with logs full of deletion requests by you, yet you just reupload them. See File:The Chicken from Outer Space opening intro.jpg, and File:Courage the Cowardly Dog title.png. We are at the stage now where we are actually full protecting pages simply to stop your cycle of creations and deletions. This is disruptive, i'm going to be more blunt this time: Stop it. Don't create a page if you are just going to delete it. Certainly don't recreate pages you requested be deleted, only to request deletion yet again. It's absurd that there are pages that have 3 creations and deletions due to your actions. --Taelus (talk) 10:45, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- The same applies to categories. You created and requested the deletion of both Category:WikiProject Animation members by work groups and Category:WikiProject Animation members within two hours. --Taelus (talk) 10:49, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
As was noted and acknowledged by you in the ANI thread, you need to slow down and think more about edits. What is going on with this page? It is extraordinary. Why did you self-revert 10 times in 3 days? Woody (talk) 12:33, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well, we have our guidelines for WP:ANIMATION. Since I am the coordinator for WikiProject Animation, I have been copied some of the contents of the style recommendations from Cartoon Network_work_group so I can merge it. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 17:34, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Also note, the {{Non-free Cartoon Network image}} is currently up for deletion at WP:TFD, since WP:ANIMATION no longer needs it. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 17:38, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- You are not answering my question and avoiding the issue here. Why are you repeating the same edit 10 times on this and other articles? Woody (talk) 17:41, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I've been working around the Cartoon Network articles, I keep merging and spiting list of Courage the Cowardly Dog characters many times myself since it does not meet the notably. Why, are you watching all the Cartoon Network artilces and watching me? Look, Woody, please, I do not want to take this to ANI again, look, I'd prefer to have an discussion at WP:RFC myself thank you. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 17:48, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not watching the cartoon network articles or anything of that ilk, my watchlist is already far too full. I was watching the "Courage" template as it was being constantly recreated and deleted which is inherently disruptive. As a result I then had reason to look at your contribs and saw the constant recreation of those style recommendations. You still haven't answered why you did the same edit and reverted it 10 times over 3 days. I don't want to take it to an RFC, I simply want to understand why you are making these kinds of edits. If we understand why then we can perhaps stop it from happening again. The repetitive edits and recreations are disruptive and I just want to see what can be done to stop them. So, could you explain why you are repeating them? Woody (talk) 17:56, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know, since I have been contributing in good faith, though probably with a little too much enthusiasm myself. I've tried to redirect to the guidelines page of WP:ANIMATION so we could have a better guideline. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 18:02, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
