Re: Kimiyo
editHi,
I am answering here instead of on Liz's talk page because it will be easier for you to find the answer here and Liz's talk page is so busy. There are two issues tagged on Kimiyo. The first is that the article is an orphan. This means that there are no articles that link to this article. You can fix that by linking to this article from other article that refer to this album such as Alex Henry Foster. The second issue us the tone of the writing. I'm not really seeing a huge issue, so you should contact the person the person who added the tag, User:Gronk Oz, who can provide more information on what they feel needs addressing.
As a general note, you can get help with editing from the Teahouse. -- Whpq (talk) 17:54, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your (quick) help Whpq! One last question, if I may. I'm trying to link Alex Henry Foster's wiki page to Kimiyo's and I'm unable to find how I should do it. Is there a page offering guidance for that? I've look for it and can't seem to figure out how to "un-orphan" or "link" a page.
- Thank you for your impression on the tone. I'll be sure to work on it and get in touch with the Wiki user who added the tag.
- Once again, thank you for all the useful help! Joan Million (talk) 14:55, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- Square brackets are your friend! [[topic you want to link goes here]]. For a more detailed explanation, see H:WIKILINK. -- Whpq (talk) 17:05, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- I have reviewed the article again, and I decided to remove the Tone tag. But it really does need improvement. My concern is that it reads more like an interview with the musician, where he talks about his inspiration, and his creative process, and his impressions of his collaborators, etc. It is largely the artist commenting about his own work. But that is not what an encyclopaedic article is about. People talking about themselves (or about their own creations) should form a very minor part of any article; most of it should be a summary of what reliable sources that are independent of the subject have published about it.--Gronk Oz (talk) 01:45, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your help and for taking the time to edit and revisit the article. Indeed, I used newspaper articles, music reviews and features to create this Wiki article. I will try to look for more links and factual information to add in the future. Once again, thank you for your useful assistance! Joan Million (talk) 15:14, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your help! With the assistance you provided me, I believe I linked it correctly to Alex Henry Foster's article page and removed the tag. Once again, thank you Whpq. Joan Million (talk) 15:11, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @Whpq, hope you're well. I would have a quick question.
- There's a description that has been added at the top of the page I created - which seems to have been an add on by Wikipedia itself. Is it a way to remove it?
- Here's the page link : Kimiyo
- Thanks again for all your help! Joan Million (talk) 12:32, 29 April 2024 (UTC)

- Hello @Whpq and @Teahouse, hope you're well. I might need assistance to edit once again.
- The article I created for the page Kimiyo (album) has a notice at the top, "Wikipedia's notability guideline for music" (Wikipedia:Notability (music)). After checking the criterias, I noticed that the article is suitable since it's meeting several of those criterias, such as :
- ...
- Criteria for musicians and ensembles
- 1 - All the articles have been linked and they are all reliable, real sources (Billboard, La Presse, Brooklyn Vegan, Rolling Stone Magazine).
- 2 - The album was released on April 26 and appeared in the Adisq charts (Québec, Canada)
- 8 - The lead singer (Alex Henry Foster) and the producer/guitar player (Ben Lemelin) have both been nominated for Junos and at ADISQ.
- 10 - Both of them, Foster & Lemelin, wrote the 3 lead tracks of Dissidia, Final Fantasy, as part of their band Your Favorite Enemies.
- ...
- Criteria for composers and lyricists
- 1 - Same as stated above.
- 4 - Their album "Between Illness and Migration" had been nominated at the Junos. Their album "Windows in the Sky" had been nominated at l'ADISQ.
- ...
- Others
- 1 - Yes, and this album has been covered in Brooklyn Vegan, Billboard and Rolling Stone magazine, La Presse, Prog Mag and press in Germany, Poland, France, Japan, etc.
- ...
- Recordings
- 1- Yes, as stated above.
- 2 - Yes, as stated above.
