June 2025

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Stereopsis—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 13:04, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please explain.
I extended the content of page Stereopsis to contain all aspects of binocular visison. Stereopsis is only part of it. Then I moved the content to page Binocular vision, because this title is at a higher level. Then I made a redirect to the chapter Binocular_Vision#Stereopsis.
This seems completely logic to me.

I am using the dutch wiki sandbox because it is not possible to make subpages on the Englisk wiki. Then moving to the real page, there exist errors resulting from differences between the Dutch and English wiki, which I have to correct on the real page. It would be convenient if I could simply make a subpages on the English wiki too.

Re: Stereopsis

[edit]

Hey, stop stop doing such edit as you did on Stereopsis (1299939576). And remove these edit as they are causing error to citation template.––kemel49(connect)(contri) 09:11, 11 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

it has been removed. It was the result of translating dutch wiki, which should not have translated citations.
Jodi.Krol (talk) 07:31, 22 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yup, While translating do remember to change citation templates compatible with english wikipedia. If you can't find one, look at wikidata to find the english version of template. Happy Editing.––kemel49(connect)(contri) 07:50, 22 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Wim van de Grind moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Wim van de Grind. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is not how academic pages are written in this WP. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ldm1954 (talk) 02:19, 14 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Wim van de Grind (September 28)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by WeirdNAnnoyed was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Close to notability, but the interviews can't be used to establish notability as they are not independent, and the same for van de Grind's own books. This leaves the obituary, which is a marginal source. At least one more source that covers the subject in a significant and independent way is needed for an article. Also, the article has a promotional tone, please remove editorializing passages like "van de Grind not only is outspoken, he is also practical".
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
