Please stop re-adding Category:Marvel Comics characters who can fly to Kestrel (Marvel Comics) for no reason. Aside from it being a red link, there is apparently no mention of this ability anywhere on the character's page. Seriously, provide a reference for your edits the next time. Just a note or two with regard to Bizarro

  • Categories that you add to article on fictional characters must be appropriate to and supported by the article. Looking over your category adds for the past couple of days you may not be reviewing the articles.
  • If another editor points out that the category is not for or is not supported by the article, don't just add it back. Try explaining on the talk page why the category should be added.

February 2009

edit

You seem to still be having trouble with this:

All of these can be seen as adding false information to the articles. Please, read through the article before adding a category.

Also, please note that wikilinks should not be Easter Eggs. that is you should generally not need to mouse over to see where the link goes. In the cases where the link and the text are justifiable different, the link should be a reasonable alternate name for the text. (Example: [[Spider-Man|Peter Parker]])

  • Alexandre LeRoi - you created an Easter Egg with [[Gotham by Gaslight|Batman: Master of the Future (1991)]]. Gotham by Gaslight is linked immediately following "...Batman: Master of the Future...", there is no need for the double link. And there is no need for the "(1991)" the way that paragraph is set up.

Wolverine

edit

No problem. To answer your question, I've basically been a fan since the X-Men Animated Series came out back in the early 90s. The first comic I bought was Wolverine #75 in November 1993. I'm answering here because it's probably best if I remove your response in the Wolverine discussion page. I'm not doing it to be a dick or anything, it's just that a lot of editors are just almost superhumanly devoted to policy. Someone will probably see it and start quoting Wikipedia's Wikipedia's not a forum policy and start giving you some lecture.Odin's Beard (talk) 23:41, 26 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

They mentioned that those evil Fox bastards changed Nord / North's ethnicity from German-American to North Korean. Joe, this counter productive.

The above was a concern about sources since what you were adding looked like it was coming from the leaked work print. Generally you don't add that type of stuff. Hence the question to clarify your source. That's it.

Blob/Dukes

edit

Hi JoeLoeb! :) Thanks for asking. Actually, it's my opinion that it would be best not to include categories which apply only to the film version of the character (or alternate reality versions of the character, or TV versions, or anything outside the mainstream version), and that it's best to stick with just what the mainstream comics version of the character is about. Otherwise, we could get kind of crazy with the categories, and some character articles have quite a plenty already!

If you'd like another opinion(s), you might want to try Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Comics; I go there all the time when I'm wondering something, or have something to tell a larger group of people. I suspect most people would agree with me on this subject, but you never know so give it a shot! :) It's also a good way to get acquainted with the other editors who work on the same sorts of articles that you do, and share information and discuss things in general. Hey Joe, what happened to bringing up on the WikiProject talk page, the idea of including categories based only on the movie versions of characters? Did that sound like a bad idea? That would introduce a third (or fourth, or fifth, or however many) opinion into the mix, and I might even be wrong. Pretty please, let's discuss this at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Comics? T4

edit

I'm not sure what scene you initially saw (I didn't know what she looked like at all before I saw the film), but there is a small piece where she is talking to Marcus on the holograph screen where, as she's changing faces to show him that Skynet is not really Serena but that her face was one he would positively associate with, you could see a cyborg endoskeleton in between transitions.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:45, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I went to the bathroom to call my girlfriend, and when I came back, Wright was in a surgery room, and "Dr. Serena Korgen"/Skynet was explaining to Marcus about his infiltration. I was wondering about if Helena Carter's "Two Face" cyborg promo picture was in the film. I guess not. (JoeLoeb (talk) 01:05, 26 May 2009 (UTC))Reply
What promo image are you referring to? I don't recall one being released with her. As far as the movie goes, it's never stated that she became a Terminator, or even insinuated as such. Skynet merely chose her likeness for Marcus's benefit. P.S. The stuff with Arnold's Terminator was awesome.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:21, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Its a promo picture of Serena/Helena with blond hair and having a quarter of her face exposed with terminator parts. (http://terminator.wikia.com/wiki/Serena_Kogen/http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/terminator/images/1/15/Serena_Kogen.jpg) Helena was so evil and beautiful as Bellatrix :) Also, Arnold's cameo had the whole theater clapping. Yelchin and Worthington was gr8. (JoeLoeb (talk) 03:11, 26 May 2009 (UTC))Reply
That's the image I thought you were referring to. Yeah, I have a hard time believing that's an official image. It looks fanmade. FastCompany claims that it's "Approved", yet they won't list who released it or approved it and it doesn't appear in that video with McG. That, or it's probably just some preliminary stuff that was never really intended to be in the film. She only worked on the movie for 10 days, and it takes awhile to do a plaster cast of a head, and then apply all that make-up for scenes later...then, if you don't use that it's all a waste of money. This was probably, at the most, just some concept work down by the storyboard artist that was leaked to the press. This is a cool shot.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:26, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, maybe....maybe you're right, but like I said in my Director's Cut section in T4, there was alot of missing footage like Connor talking to Darkseid about the T-800's, the "My name is Marcus Wright" closeup, etc. Maybe it was deleted, trimmed or cut (Robert Rodriguez lingo). But maybe Korgen was involved with the same project that Marcus was conned into. A Terminator with her organs, brain, etc. Time will tell in T5, oh and say no to McG, gay ass ginger name! (JoeLoeb (talk) 03:39, 26 May 2009 (UTC))Reply
Well, the line was still there. They just decided to focus on a different aspect. You have to remember that trailers and films are not the same, and often the people cutting the trailer will use footage that was never intended for the big screen. As for McG, I think this was far better than Charlie's Angels, by a long shot and way better than T3. If you have a problem with the story, then blame the writers, because he didn't write the story. As for his name, how can you criticize someone for a name that was basically given to them at birth because there were too many people with the same name in his family? It isn't like it's a "stage name" or something, it's what everyone has known him by since he was a child. It's like criticizing "Bill Paxton" for going by "Bill" instead of "William".  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:57, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I didn't say I hated the film. It's alot better then that shit Fox TV show, and tame T3, because this actually tries something different. 2 things are off: Nichol and Writers (Not Jonathan Nolan). The writers are from Catwoman, enough said and McG (sorry about the name, he could have been called Joe Nicol). I've seen Charlie's Angels 1 & 2 (don't ask, okay for Drew Barrymore only) and they are to stupid, and over the top. Bale was good except for the Batvoice, Worthington and Yelchin (see above), Carter was so cold as the Dr. Korgen, Common was decent, etc. It's a shame that it "flopped" thanks to Fox's evil NATM2, and Ben Stiller, and he's still the same blasted guy from 5-10 yrs. ago! I also think that Fox pulled strings on RT (Rotten Tomatoes) to derail the movie. As you can see I'm trying to defend this solid film against crazed fanboys and IMDB users. FYI, I'm a Terminator fan from 1991. Oh, and he chose to call himself McG, and i never trust a one name director like Pitof (Catwoman).(JoeLoeb (talk) 04:17, 26 May 2009 (UTC))Reply
Fox didn't pull strings at RT; they cannot rewrite what critics say about the film and neither can RT. As for his name, he didn't choose to be called McG. He's explained that there were 2 or 3 other Josephs in his immediate family, so they started calling him McG to distinguish him from his elders. He explains that he doesn't go by any other name because it would basically be an insult to his family by selling out on his own name. Plus, you cannot compare him to Pitof...that man hasn't done anything hardly in Hollywood, except for Catwoman and some no-name films. At least McG has done some real films, and varied his experiences (Charlie's Angels to We Are Marshall). It's not fair to judge someone solely by their name.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 11:16, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
That's NOT EVEN the point of the guideline, guy. I didn't even know that he did We are Marshall, which I heard was very good. So maybe T4 is not his worst flick, but fans of Terminator won't ever give him the time of day again. The name isn't even an issue to me, but we need either some Sci-Fi veteran director or Jim Cameron back (which I think he'll never do). To be honest, the whole series should have stopped after T2. Oh, FOX is an evil as the Nazi's, Russians in 50's, Arabs now, Gays, Obama, etc. (JoeLoeb (talk) 16:15, 26 May 2009 (UTC))Reply

The Red-Blue Blur

edit

Show me where in the Superman article the Red-Blue Blur is mentioned. It wasn't even in the Clark Kent (Smallville) article until I added it. And even then the cops got to it.

The problem is Clark Kent on Smallville is not yet Superman.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:46, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The moniker should be directed to the Smallville page, because it's associated with the show, not the comic book character. Even if Clark one day becomes "Superman" on Smallville, the name "Red-Blue Blur" is still associated strictly with Smallville's version of Clark Kent and no other. That's why it should be redirected there. Also, try and remain civil towards your fellow Wikipedians. It's not cool to go around calling people "Jackass" who were probably not aware of your earlier debates (as seen by my talk page where they said they did just did a quick search on that term), and were acting with the best intentions.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:46, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

We'll try to put it behind us. Thanks, BigNole. I knew you could explain it better.
I did find a reference to "A red-and-blue blur" under Superman (film series)#Superman Lives when I searched more carefully. I doubt that's enough to justify a redirect there, but at least it supports your position.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 20:43, 1 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Kevin Smith said in an interview that his Superman lives script described Superman flying as a "red and blue blur" if that's what you mean. The redirect still leads to Clark Kent(JoeLoeb (talk) 21:54, 2 July 2009 (UTC))Reply

JoeLoeb, I would ask that you take a moment to consider your entries in this project. Wikipedia is not a toy, nor a joke. Creating false/useless articles would be like taking the Encyclopedia Britannica, writing an article in crayon on every blank page, then trying to sell it as new and useful. Most editors are here to both improve the project, and prevent damage to it. If you're not for one or both of those reasons, then this might not be a good past-time for you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 07:58, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Bad use of euphemism, User:Bwilkins. Wikipedia should never pretend to be, even in the minds of its most fervent editors/administrators, a publication comparable to the Encyclopedia Britannica or the like. Wikipedia is a hybrid, a veritable "Marcus Burger", half fact, half fancy, that has never considered the possibility of it being, covertly, the enemy of truth, historicity, or indeed mankind's progression out of the swamps of religion/superstition. And yet therein lies WP's uniqueness and appeal. I suggest devotees of WP cease and desist all such lofty pretensions of "accuracy" and "unbiased-ness", since the very nature of WP's openness goes hand-in-hand with its inevitable penchant for charming, silly, fact-based idiocy.

Rather like a cute blonde that just saw part of a documentary and then, full of confidence, assumes a matter-of-fact, educated voice and attempts to hold sway on the freshly gleaned topic with other life-long scholars at a dinner party. Like the "cute blonde", Wikipedians and Wikipedestrians alike should learn to discern "respectful" applause from "indulgent". And embrace whatever applause it can get to its vast, ample-terabyted (but alas, false) bosoms. 66.91.116.149 (talk) 12:15, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why did you do what you did to the Scarecrow article?

edit

Do you know how Wikipedia works? The article needed a clean up. It had overly detailed plot summaries of comic book issues and cartoon episodes and movies. DCincarnate (talk) 16:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

But you made I look sloppy and downplayed. Without the other appearances and pictures it looks not right. Can't we compromise? Did you do that to Deadpool, too? (JoeLoeb (talk) 16:54, 25 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
It was sloppy to begin with. What do you mean by downplay? Wikipedia is not a fansite. Scarecrow's other appearances are still there, in the publication section; and the images I removed because they don't really add anything. And no, I have not edited Deadpool (yet), but that article is an example of how it should be done. DCincarnate (talk) 17:40, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Alright. It's not your real name, ya know. This blows. (JoeLoeb (talk) 03:26, 28 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
It doesn't 'blow'... believe me, I know on-wiki situations that blow. This is an easy one. Fiction articles are easy to fix, techinically speaking, but hard to do when you're a fan of the work. Remember, the wiki articles aren't about 'how cool it was when character did this thing or that thing' but 'How interesting is it that the writer based the character on his college experiences reading Don Quixote in the original 17th century spanish!' We should be focused o nthe real- world content, providing enough plot context to understand it. Really, we could say 'The scarecrow was introduced in this year, by these creators. He usually appears as an antagonist in batman comics, where he uses the exploitation of fears through manipulation of circumstances and a hallucinogenic 'fear drug' to commit crimes and fight the Batman.' and be done. That's about as much of an entry as you'd get from Encyc Brit on a good, kind day. We give much more, and we want to do it well. That's not achieved by describing the plots in detail, but by finding more from Finger and Kane explaining how they created him, what he's about to them, and so on, and finding the same in other creative teams working with the character. Mute character

edit

I keep removing the category "Fictional mute characters" because Michael is not mute. Muteness is the inability to speak, and Michael can clearly speak if he chooses. Selective mutism is when one chooses not to speak, and we do not have a category for that. We cannot put him in a category of people who do not have the ability to speak when it's his choice.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:36, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I thought everybody put that under his page. Sorry. But I say he's a mute. I won't add it, even though some may disagree. Isn't Snake Eyes capable to speak, but dosen't. (JoeLoeb (talk) 19:41, 30 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
I have no idea about Snake Eyes. He speaks as a child, and since they've never said he lost the ability to speak, it's assumed that he's selectively mute. The same with Jason. He speaks as a child too, but not as an adult.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:29, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

talk pages

edit

Please do not create talk pages whose contents are the words "talk (article name)". These are worse than useless, and have to be either replaced with genuine talkpages, or simply deleted. There are generic talkpage templates that can be used, but you have not been using them. DS (talk) 13:46, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Joe, I asked you to not do that again, but you did it again anyway. If I find you doing it a third time, I will very reluctantly impose disciplinary measures. Seriously, this isn't hard for you to do. Just... don't create blanks like that, okay? DS (talk) 17:34, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Joe, I noticed that - a few weeks ago (yes, I know, there's a backlog, gimme a break) - you created some more talkpages that just said "Talk:<pagename>". To reiterate, do not do that. If you want to create a generic talkpage, do {{Talk header}}. Okay? (and the reason I'm not imposing disciplinary measures is because you weren't doing it constantly.) Anna Hutchison

edit

I notice that you have added a role in Smallville to the Anna Hutchison article. Our article on the character, Speedy (Mia Dearden), previously named another actress in the role, and your change to the article was reverted. This leaves the two articles inconsistent. Could you add a source to the latter article (or preferably to both) to make clear which actress is playing the part, or if both do so, please explain that.-gadfium 05:47, 31 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Category:Fictional characters who can change their size

edit

This is a notice informing you that I have deleted Category:Fictional characters who can change their size under the speedy deletion criteria as recreation of a page that was deleted per a deletion discussion. This category was previously discussed at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2009 July 19#Category:Fictional characters who can change their size and consensus was to delete the category as loosely defined and ambiguous. — ξxplicit 22:52, 16 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:46, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Captain America template

edit

Some thing to keep in mind since this is a general use encyclopedia:

  • Minor character should not be included in a navigation box. "Minor characters" tends to include those like: Free Spirit (comics), Jack Flag, Bernie Rosenthal, Bernie Rosenthal, and Flag-Smasher
  • Characters that are not central to the topic covered by the 'box should not be included. This includes those like: Baron Strucker, MODOK, and Viper (Madame Hydra)
  • Stand alone characters, like Nick Fury, are rarely proper for a "Supporting characters" section.
  • The same is true of derivative character like Josiah X and Patriot (comics).
  • It is never appropriate to place an article on a real person into section labeled for characters in works of fiction as you did with Adolf Hitler

- J Greb (talk) 12:11, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

And again:
  • Minor character should not be included in a navigation box.
  • Characters that are not central to the topic covered by the 'box should not be included.
  • Stand alone characters are rarely proper for a "Supporting characters" section.
  • The same is true of derivative characters.
Also, re-adding without comment is more than counter productive.

Speedy deletion nomination of Red Inferno

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Red Inferno requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Starro

Please refrain from adding the fan fulled identification of Starro appearing in Smallville. What you did was add uncited information and tried to hide it with a ref to an image file. At best that's "See here, doesn't it look like Starro." It's OR. "It dose not belong in a Wikipedia article.

Comic team navboxes

Joe, we've been over this before: under the Project guidelines these are not, repeat not, used to house exhaustive, up-to-date, all-inclusive, every-character-likely-to-have-been-a-member lists. Just the, more or less, initial line-up. Beyond that we have list articles.

I'm sorry if you feel this isn't "fan friendly", but the articles and the navigation templates are aimed at general users, not just fans.

- J Greb (talk) 17:16, 27 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, there isn't. At least not in the navbox. There may be a reason to split the roster lists out of the main article and link the 'box to that, But that's about it. - J Greb (talk) 17:50, 27 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for opening up the discussion about whether Marcus is the director or not wider than it needed to be. I probably should have asked you first before asking everyone. re: Black Spider edits

edit

I've reverted them bck out. Again. As has been pointed out to you before, Wikipedia is composed solely of the content referenced to reliable sources. It would appear that you are adding primary observations that you yourself have made. We cannot use them at all. If you have specific, explicit sources connecting the Black Spider to Spider-Man, please feel free to provide them at the time of article editing. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 12:30, 28 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fine....God, why do i even bother here...?? (JoeLoeb (talk) 12:49, 28 July 2012 (UTC))Reply
Because you want to add something of value which will stand the test of time? Or..heck, I've got nothing in the way of motivation for you, bub. Maybe you can find something here? - Jack Sebastian (talk) 15:38, 29 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Toyman

edit

If you really think Dollmaker should be on Wikipedia either start a non-plot-only article or tag a very short section info List of minor DC Comics characters. Adding it to Toyman makes almost no sense - especially if it is 100% plot.

- J Greb (talk) 21:42, 18 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

It's the first apperences of him, so maybe he may be a huge character, but idk that. And adding him to Toyman makes no sense, it's the character's son, and it involves him and his father... (JoeLoeb (talk) 21:46, 18 August 2012 (UTC))Reply
Then it's a one liner - if that in the Toyman FCB - not a full blown plot dump of that "one appearance" in a separate section.
And if you want to ad the cites and clean up what is there without adding the Dollmaker section - that's great. Fighting to keep in a fan-centric, over emphasized, tangential, in story section isn't. And at this point: Your bold inclusion has been reverted, so it needs discussion and a show of consensus before you put it back.
- J Greb (talk) 22:09, 18 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Just discovered that their is a Dollmake section of Wikipedia, so i didn't know that. (JoeLoeb (talk) 22:39, 18 August 2012 (UTC))Reply

Re: Jason Todd edits

edit

I've undone your edits noting the exceptionally brief allusion to Jason Todd in the Teen Titans animated series, as it runs into two distinct problems. First of all, you need a citable reference that takes note of Jason Todd being mentioned in the episode - your personal observation of a fleeting glance isn't suitable enough for inclusion. Secondly, the fact that the mention was oblique and fleeting (and has little to do with the episode), we also run into the problem of undue weight; Jason Todd just wasn't important enough to give mention. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 15:59, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re: Arrow (TV series) edits

edit

I have reverted your wikilinking of various characters int he series to comic book characters in the series. Please stop adding these wikilinks, as we do not have a shred of reliable sources connecting any of them to their comic book counterparts. The tv series takes a great many liberties with comic books, as Smallville, Aquaman (TV program) and the execrable Birds of Prey series. Until/unless we have solid references connecting any character to a comic book character, we cannot do so, as per OR. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 01:46, 21 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

    • Solid references?? You're joking right?? Do you know any other Roy Harper in the DCU, how about any other Dinah Lance, it's ludicrous, they are the characters. Liberties taken mind you but still the characters, hence Merlyn is completely re-invented for the show, but I digress But I know you have a job and all that jazz, are you a high-level administrator?? I recall having discussed this matter with you earlier. There is a discussion in the Arrow article discussion page; I urge you to avail yourself of it. I've reverted the wikilinking you have made to the cast list, as well as removing the redirects from Malcolm Merlyn to the DC character. I am going to reserve judgement as to what is driving your commentless edits, but if they are reinstated again without discussion, they will be reverted immediately. Use the talk page, please. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 03:04, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

And I will continue to tell you, that they are versions of the characters in the DCU, Jack. Anyone who knows comics knows that Malcolm and/or Tommy = Merlyn, Roy Harper IS Roy Harper, Quentin Lance IS Kurt or Lawrence Lance, Laurel Lance IS Black Canary, and Dinah Drake-Lance is Golden Age Black Canary, but I won't add them to Arrow, b/c I've been run over by you several times, Jack. And how come Helena is the only one besides Oliver linked to the DC character, don't you mean Helena Bertinelli (Arrow)?? Look I just wanna improve the article, I don't wanna destroy it and I think that if they have characters IN THE BOOKS in the show, THEY SHOULD have it linked their. That's all. (JoeLoeb (talk) 04:22, 14 April 2013 (UTC))Reply
Unfortunately, we cannot utilize your deductions within any article within Wikipedia. You are not a citable source, Joe. Until a reliable, secondary source explicitly says 'this is Merlyn, or Black Canary or whoever' we cannot say so in the article. Helena is linked to Huntress because a reliable source made the connection.
If you have a problem with this basic rule, confine your arguments to the Arrow article, where it appears you have yet to contribute any discussion. I am not trying to 'run you over,' Joe; I know you want to improve the article, which is why I am not escalating the matter, but you need to talk to other editors who disagree with you; its the point of a collaborative encyclopedia.
Okay, i'll try to do that then, but it's not the most important part (JoeLoeb (talk) 16:04, 14 April 2013 (UTC))Reply
I don't understand what you mean, Joe. Btw, I've yet again removed your wikilinking Merlyn and Laurel Lance. Please stop doing that. Until you have reliable citation connecting them, we cannot include it. Every time they are added, they will be removed. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 16:42, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
And I am going to point out that classifying a blatant revert as "Some clean up, involving Moira involved with Merlyn Sr., and plan for Glades" is going to be clearly seen as less than honest. Use the talk page and stop working your way into a corner you are not going to want to be in. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 16:49, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Fine, do whatever you want Jack, this is nuts. And I will point out that I don't need reliable sources that ROY HARPER IS ROY HARPER, the links to the articles are clearing the mystery that he is Roy Harper. (JoeLoeb (talk) 16:52, 14 April 2013 (UTC))Reply

Re Comics\Fictional\Video characters indroduced by year

edit

I had added a navigation box to adjacent years back to 2000 eg see Category:Fictional characters introduced in 2000 etc; this will also make it easier to check for articles in 2013/2014 and copy the category forward when required. Hugo999 (talk) 05:06, 1 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Characters created by Sam Hamm

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Characters created by Sam Hamm requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
