Not a problem. I actually re-read and didn't like the wording so completely reworked it. I am new to this so thanks for your patience and when I repost, hopefully, I will have made it much more readable and not an infringement. Thanks.

Copyright in the State of Texas

Hi. Thanks for your contribution, but I'm afraid that the State of Texas does not release its official works into public domain. While some states do, these are the exception rather than the rule. Accordingly, state historical markers in Texas cannot be presumed to be public domain unless we find something that explicitly verifies that they are. The website of the Texas Historical Commission does not give any indication otherwise; [1]. They explicitly do not permit non-commercial reuse, which is required for us to use content here.
