Deletionists now control Wikipedia

edit

Nomination of Purple (company) for deletion

edit
(Note on how deletionism ruins this project: Page below was created as a disambiguation of a bar name, like Archie's Place or something. Some spammer moved the original to Purple (company). Now both pages are deleted, and it looks like I created the now-deleted Purple (company) instead of a helpful disambiguation.

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Purple (company) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Purple (company) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Proposed deletion of ABM Industries

edit

The article ABM Industries has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

ABM Industries has not been the subject of enough reliable secondary sources independent of the subject to warrant on article. Too many sources are primary, resulting in MOS:PUFFERY, and the only secondary sources provided offer trivial coverage under WP:CORPDEPTH.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A Simple Heart?

edit

Hi Jokestress. I was wondering if you have any recollection of why you created the redirect A Simple Heart? in 2011. I can't find any indication that the title of the story's ever been written with a question mark. As such, I was thinking of taking it to RfD. But it's a tricky thing to Google, so perhaps I've missed something? Cheers, – Arms & Hearts (talk) 14:00, 7 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I was clearing a bunch of quiz bowl packets from here. Some answers were styled as questions in Jeopardy! format. You are welcome to redirect it to A Simple Heart or delete it. Thanks! Jokestress (talk) 15:04, 7 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for getting back to me. If you don't object to it being deleted, how would you feel about tagging it per CSD G7 as you're the sole contributor? – Arms & Hearts (talk) 18:50, 7 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for asking, but someone else can delete it. Jokestress (talk) 00:43, 8 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Creating redirects from species to genus

edit

Please refrain from creating any redirects from a species to a genus, as you did here. This discourages article creation and confuses the readers. If possible, ask for a speedy deletion. Abductive (reasoning) 13:18, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
