Georgia (U.S. state)

edit

You say you have never heard of the U.S. state before the Olympics in Atlanta, which were in 1996. Here are 2 questions:

  1. What year were you born??
  2. What year did you first hear of the country Georgia?? Georgia guy 21:59, 28 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
maybe I didn't express myself right in the article, what I meant was that: If it had not been for the olympic games, i wouldn't have known a U.S. state named Georgia existed (at least for a very long time). And what it struck me the first time I heard it, was that it's name in English was the same as the name of the country. I even thought for a moment that it might have been named that way on purpose... like New York for example. I can't remember when I heard of Georgia for the first time, of course you study it in geography classes, but I think sporting competitions are the ones that count the most. We (I mean Albanian teams) have played the Georgian national football team (what you might refer to as soccer), or Dinamo Tbilisi several times, and some Georgian players play in top European leagues. jonosphere 22:41, 28 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation praise

edit

Thank you for you kind words on my disambigation work. On an aside : I am thinking of passing through Albania when I drive back to Cyprus in summer. Any suggestions as to what to see (I'll probably only be able to spend 2-3 days) ? Travelbird 21:27, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Proposed Georgia Move

As a past participant in the discussion on how to handle the Georgia pages, I thought you might be interested to know that there's a new attempt to reach consensus on the matter being addressed at Talk:Georgia (country)#Requested_Move_-_July_2006. Please come by and share your thoughts to help form a consensus. --Vengeful Cynic 03:46, 8 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Albania

edit

Hello Jonosphere,

Thank you for your interesting reply. Looking at the map it seems I have two options to get from Montenegro to Thessaloniki (Greece) :

  • 1) Shkoder-Prizren-Skopje
  • or
  • 2) Shkoder-Tirana-Ohrid-Bitola

Which of these do you think is more worth-while ?

Beslidhja Skaut Albania

edit

Beslidhja Skaut Albania has been proposed for renaming (along with other foreign-language Scouting article titles) to bring it into compliance with the spirit of both WikiProject Scouting - Rules Standards, Article names and Wikipedia:Naming conventions.

The discussion about this is currently taking place at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Scouting/Translations#Proposed_article_name_changes. No one involved speaks Albanian. Since you speak Albanian, could you please help out? --evrik (talk) 15:27, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Translation request

edit

I am wondering if you are willing to translate the Copyright Law of the Republic of Kosovo? Specifically, I want to know the following:

  • Term of copyright
  • If anything is not given copyright protection.
