Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Windows Sidebar.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 16:24, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Windows Sidebar.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Windows Sidebar.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:04, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Windows 7

edit

If it's going to be released in three years, how does that not mean it will be 2010? And "7" is the name used by Microsoft to refer to the next version of Windows. Have a look at this page. Please reply to my talk page --Chetblongtalk to me 01:07, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Forgot about Works? How could you?

edit

It gave rise to one of my favorite lines: "'Microsoft Works', of course, is a contradiction, like 'jumbo shrimp'"! --Orange Mike 22:14, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Windows Server 2003 as Workstation

edit

I've undone your changes for Windows Server 2003, since it doesn't matter if it is a private modification. There are enough patches around to ease this to make it noticeable. I'm considering putting common modifications in an independent section. Would that be a useful compromise? Dylansmrjones 01:25, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Windows 7 Reversion

edit

Thanks for reverting the vandalism off Windows 7. I reverted a page blank, and Twinkle did not know that the last reversion was bad. BeanoJosh 20:32, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Petrelli edits

edit

I noted your edit, but if I am not mistaken, there was another entry lower in the listing that denoted the precognitive painting, separate and different from the precognitive visions he also had. I think that the visions thing needs to be re-added (don't know who removed it), as a different sort of precognition - painting the future is more of a tactile precognition, requiring painting for it to occur. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 04:39, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Windows XP has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. OSX (talkcontributions) 08:30, 8 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Windows XP service packs

edit

If you have no problem with it, I'd like to remove the merge proposal and submit this article for an AfD. My reasoning for an AfD is based on the fact that there was never any consensus to move the information out to a seperate article in the first place. That was done by one editor without consulting anyone, as was changing a number of links to his own article. I've fixed the links and merged any appropriate information from the aticle back into Windows XP so there's really no need to merge, just delete because all we're doing is maintaining the status quo. I really think an AfD is the more appropriate way to go but I'd appreciate your thoughts before going ahead. --AussieLegend (talk) 07:03, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
