A tag has been placed on Loparite, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seinfreak37 15:09, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Non-English language content
Links to English language content are strongly preferred in the English-language Wikipedia. It may be appropriate to have a link to a non-English-language site, such as when an official site is unavailable in English; or when the link is to the subject's text in its original language; or when the site contains visual aids such as maps, diagrams, or tables. Per the guideline on non-English-language sites.
When linking to a site in a non-English language under the exceptions above, label the link with a language icon, available for most languages, using two-letter language codes: for example, (in Spanish), (in French), etc. Place the language label after the link (i.e. German Wikipedia (in German))

Citizendium as a free source?
Hello. Until Citizendium has decided upon a license and officially licensed their articles under said license (and it proves to be compatible with the GFDL), we can't use their material. A shame though, it was a good article. Thanks! henrik•talk 21:05, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Carlos Castaneda Article
Hi Joshua. Could you talk to me about why you created this section Talk:Carlos_Castaneda#Deleted_section on the Castaneda talk pages. It had been marked as "Inappropriate tone|date=December 2007" and should probably been more appropriately marked as "original research" (I wasn't the one who had tagged it). Anyhow, there has never been any conflict over either its marking as inappropriate or its deletion, so I was wondering what your philosophy was here. Thanks. -Tom Mmyotis (talk) 10:39, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Out of curiosity
I was just wondering, you recently did a revert on the Ben Michell page with the edit summary as:
“ | Reverted 1 edit by AlixSays identified as vandalism to last revision by Epbr123. | ” |
I was wondering if that's something you've written out yourself or it's a template used for vandalism? steveking89 19:46, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- I just changed parts of the default text (Undid revision xxxxxxxx by NAME). It is not a template. Joshua Issac (talk) 21:18, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Hello. I'm contacting you and other members of WikiProject Books in order to find if you are interested in collaborating to expand and improve The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence article to make it worthy of becoming a featured article candidate, in light of the fact that it is the first book the U.S. government ever went to court to censor before its publication. --Loremaster (talk) 22:20, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi Joshua Issac
Hi, and welcome to the India WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of India.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Please participate in any of our descendant workgroups that might interest you.
- The project has a bimonthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered in its entirety, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every India article in Wikipedia.
- Can you code? The automation department uses automated and semi-automated methods to perform batch tasks that would be tedious to do manually.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! -- Tinu Cherian - 12:48, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Rollback granted
After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback may be removed at any time.
If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! Account Creation Interface
You have been approved to use the Internal Account Creation Interface! Some important notes before you get started:
- Abuse of the interface is not tolerated, and access can be revoked by an interface admin at a moment's notice
- You should ask an administrator for the "accountcreator" usergroup, which overrides the 6 account creations/day limit. However, this usergroup too can be removed by any Wiki admin at a moment's notice if abused.
Now that you have read the generic warnings, please read (or re-read if you have read it already) the tool's documentation page which includes a link to the tool's request-filling interface. If you ever need any help, I myself am an interface admin and developer, so feel free to drop me a line on my talk page if you need help, or would like a new welcome template added to the autowelcome feature! --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 21:48, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
+ACC flag
Hi, I have granted you account creator rights so you can continue working in the account creation process. The flag may be removed if your activity ceases - any problems/questions, give me or another admin a shout. Cheers. WilliamH (talk) 13:02, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice
Hi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!
Calling all active WP:NOVELS members
WikiProject Novels is currently holding a roll call, which we hope to have annually. Your username is listed on the members list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active within the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:Novels editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. Also feel free to join any of our task forces and take a look at the project's Job Centre to get involved!
Next month we will begin the coordinator election selection process. We hope to have more involvement and input this time around! More news will be forthcoming. Thanks, everyone! María (habla conmigo) 16:29, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Regarding:
These accounts are not taken. I left a message on the site notices (the green bit at the top) saying triple-check that the account is taken before marking it as such. Take a look on Special:ListUsers - I can't see any of those accounts, meaning they don't exist. Try editing the user's talk pages - you'll get a message saying they don't exist. Yes, the signup form might state that the account is taken, but it seems to be throwing false positives at the moment, so don't trust it. Sorry if I'm a bit annoyed, but you are the third person I've had to say this to. In future, please can you make sure you read the site notice if you don't already, and actually take on board what it says. Incidentally, #15736 and #15744 have now recieved two "taken" emails, and one "account created" email, while the accounts doesn't even exist; and #15743 has recieved two "account created" emails, and one "taken" email, and their account doesn't exist either. I'm trying to save them from confusion, but I fear it's not working. Sorry for the nag - I'm not usually like this. :-) Stwalkerster [ talk ] 19:23, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I'm sorry. --Joshua Issac (talk) 23:29, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
I also dropped one of the requests when I noticed that Account Creators had already marked them "Taken". -Joshua Issac (talk) 23:32, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- I've emailed the people explaining what's happened, as it must've been some bug in the software. Don't worry about it, looking back at the comment I wrote I think I was probabally a bit too harsh on you. Sorry about that - I was pretty annoyed at the time. Hopefully, the issue is resolved now, so there's nothing for anyone to worry about. :-) Stwalkerster [ talk ] 23:54, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Generally, articles don't need 30-odd fairuse images. This page currently has a photo for every character, which is rather indiscriminate. We're not a fansite, we don't need pictures of everything. At the least we could probably save a couple of the most important character (preferably all the main characters in one shot, like in Chowder (TV series)). I wasn't sure which characters were the most important so I listed them all. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 20:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for participating in my RfA
I just wanted to take a moment to say "thank you" for taking the time and effort to participate in my recent RfA. As you may know, the discussion closed 66/0/1 and I'm now a holder of the mop. De-proding
Where were you until now?... I've had lots of troubles with other editors who claim that IMDb is not a source, at least a good or a reliable one! They've even deleted Jamie Anne Allman's page because despite having about a dozen film participations the only source was IMDb!... G.-M. Cupertino (talk) 18:13, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed the person who was on a {{prod}}ding spree because one of the pages were on my watchlist. I will try add more sources to the article I de-prodded, in the Christmas holidays. Good work with the articles you have created – there are so many of them. --Joshua Issac (talk) 18:18, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks!... G.-M. Cupertino (talk) 15:28, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Germaine Greer's atheism
Thanks for digging up a source, but I'm not sure the Milesian Society meets the criteria of WP:RS, and it's possible that they've just plucked the word "atheist" out of a more complex Greer quote. Can you find anything more reliable? (It'd also be good to actually mention her atheism in the body of the article, if only as a throwaway sentence, rather than burying a reference in an invisible comment.) Thanks. --McGeddon (talk) 15:18, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- I managed to find a blog about Germaine Greer, referring to one of her books in which she describes herself as an "atheist Catholic". Greer also appears on the Famous Atheists webpage on the Machines Like Us website, and in the atheists' category in the Celebrity Atheist List. --Joshua Issac (talk) 16:25, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
