Hi. Please don't cut and paste articles from one name to another one. That's what the "Move this page" link is for. By cutting and pasting, you lost the edit history, which keeps track of who made what edits, and that is a violation of copyright under the GFDL license, which Wikipedia works under. Also please note that not all characters work in article titles. You'll see that the article you created caused a problem with the special character "l" in the title. Yes, I know it. I noticed that just after I saved the article. My bad! And then, articles can't be deleted at all, and when I was about to put the deletion template and add it to the deletion page, my pc crushed! Yesterday was not a good day Jotomicron 18:09, 30 May 2005 (UTC)

Thanks but look at the date that I posted it. It WAS the correct link, they have odviousdly changed the format of that website and the link has been broken.

Style tip

Thanks for uploading Image:Centromere.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Já abriu o Portal de Portugal na Wikipedia! Junta-te a nós para trabalharmos em prol de artigos, listas e imagens relacionadas com Portugal. No portal, encontrarás um artigo geral, um artigo biográfico, um artigo geográfico e uma imagem todas as semanas em destaque. Para além disso estão apresentadas também secções de Notícias, Curiosidades, Listas, Citações, Opentasks, informação sobre artigos recentes, etc. Futuramente teremos um WikiProject para geografia de Portugal (de modo a estandardizar todos os artigos relativos às localidades e divisões administrativas portuguesas), história de Portugal, biografias, e possivelmente desporto. Também temos em vista a criação de uma Colaboração Semanal para artigos sobre Portugal. Por isto, e tudo mais, pedimos-te que venhas ajudar-nos. Words hardest to translate

Hi! Just stumbled upon your page, via saudade, interesting. Being a translator myself I often find there are words that are almost impossible to translate simply (using less than three words). The first that springs to my mind is the polish kilkanaście (keel-ka-NASH-che) which means any number between eleven and nineteen, emphasizing the fact that the speaker doesn't know how much exactly. Hi there Jotomicron :), I noticed your username on Translators Available Portugguese to English. I was wondering if you could help with updating Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi on the Portuguese Wikipedia? Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi on the English Wikipedia has been majorly revamped- particularly, its being treated as a BLP now, since no one has been able to find evidence of his death. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Today I found out that I can't edit pages on Wikipedia on IP issues. The block information mentioned the use of an open proxy, but I believe I am not in one. I am, though, accessing Wikipedia through my faculty's proxy, which is not open. Could this be the culprit of the issue? Can it be resolved? For your reference, the IP we're talking about is 194.117.22.71.
