File copyright problem with File:Grauel.png
editThank you for uploading File:Grauel.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 19:36, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Goldsmid
editHi,
You are the first person to ever send me a WP email (other than foreign language admins sending messages of welcome).
Hotmail thought you were scary, and flagged you as dangerous ;-). Kinda funny.
I had no idea who this Goldsmid was, since that was 2 months ago.
You're confusing me with this Gilabrand fellow?
I see you're the principal or current author of the article.
I did some minor formatting and some links.
My only substantive change was to delete Convert to Judaism, since he wasn't one. He dilly-dallied in Xianity, then went home. (What kind of weirdo flipflops on this religion? Pathetic.)
It was fun to see the email system in action.

Hi, I deleted this article as a blatant copyright infringement. Wikipedia cannot accept material that is simply copied from another a website. Wikipedia has certain copyright requirements for all content and the website the material was copied from did not say the content was released under a compatible license.
You may, of course, re-create the article using entirely original text — not copied from anywhere. However, if you choose to do so please add it to Jewish-American Society for Historic Preservation (which uses the correct capitalisation).

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Ways to improve Herman Stern
editHi, I'm Rasimmons. Jrryjude, thanks for creating Herman Stern!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The article contains some incorrect formatting on references that makes reading rather difficult. This is also a BLP that makes some very grand claims, so it's useful to have many reliable sources.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. R. A. Simmons Talk 12:51, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
Correction of Title line on Wikipedia
editThe title heading on Wikipedia is Benjamin Brown (Developer).
Brown was not a developer, he was a social and economic reformer. He founded two cooperative communities based upon communitarian principles. The first was in Clarion, Utah and the second was Jersey Homesteads, Roosevelt, N.J. Roosevelt is on the National Register of Historic Places because of Brown's efforts. He was not a "developer", as is commonly understood in today's terms.
How do I change the heading title to the more appropriate - Benjamin Brown - Social and Economic Reformer.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Van Eeden, North Carolina - Jewish Holocaust rescue requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/holocaust-rescue-north-carolina-and-van-eeden/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
