A note

edit

Hi. From your username, I assume that you are Julia Mulligan, or that you represent her. (If you aren't, you really shouldn't be editing under her name!) If that is the case, first and foremost, allow me to apologize on the behalf of my fellow Wikipedians for the fact that defamatory content appeared on your page. We normally do a pretty good job keeping this from happening (and we have a very strict policy regarding it), but some instances slip through the cracks. In this case, the content was removed, but without any accompanying edit summary, which led a user to mistake the removals for vandalism and revert them; I've notified him about his error, and I'm sure he feels awful about it.

All that said, it's important that your edits, too, comply with our neutral point of view policy. I should note that in general we discourage people from editing topics with which they have a conflict of interest. These edits weren't neutral, so I've removed most of the content you added. (An official's to-do list is great for campaign adds, but inappropriate for an encyclopedia.) If you think you're capable of editing the article neutrally, then okay, but please remember to keep your contributions in an encyclopedic tone, and to refrain from making any controversial edits (this is under the assumption that you do indeed have a conflict of interest regarding this article). If you're unsure if an edit you want to make is neutral, you might consider using the {{Request edit}} template on the article's talk page, so that another contributor can review what you want to add.

Hope that helps, and, once again, my apologies for the fact that this content stayed up for so long. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 09:54, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The details I am trying to upload include straightforward biographical details and facts. I have carefully read other entries to ensure that I am not breaching your rules. My Police and Crime Plan is a statutory plan and is not propaganda. Other Police and Crime Commissioners have external links to their manifesto websites which I have not done. The external links are all official sites. I am new to Wikipedia and am trying to provide factual info. Please reinstate my content.

Hello, there is someone who is inserting malicious content on my entry. Please can you stop this immediately.

Julia Mulligan, you are invited to the Teahouse

== More defamatory content ==

Hi there - more defamatory content has appeared. These guys have multiple names and use a whole range of IP addresses. They set up the entry in the first place. I will remove but is there any way that you can stop them? Thanks Julia Mulligan Julia Mulligan (talk) 14:27, 22 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
