Speedy deletion of James Pattinson
editA tag has been placed on James Pattinson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. the skomorokh 18:19, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Notability of James Pattinson?
editI have noted that this is a very recently created article, but you really need to assert Pattinson's notability. Simply being a member of a first-class squad isn't enough if he's never actually played at f-c/List A/Twenty20 level. Also, you might want to edit the tone of your main paragraph slightly, as at the moment it reads more like a press handbook or something. Wikipedia articles are better if they use full sentences and do not express opinions (unless quoting cited sources). I hope that's useful! Loganberry (Talk) 18:58, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Also not good form to remove speedy deletion templates from articles. If you contest the deletion then use the talk page to outline why you think the article should stay and the nominator and admins can review it. Cheers. Jevansen (talk) 08:05, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Please delete the page. Also, thanks for sorting out the Rajasthan Royals squad.

Proposed deletion of Adam London
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Adam London, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:CRIN and WP:ATHLETE, cricketer who is yet to play professional cricket, can be recreated when he does
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Jpeeling (talk) 10:04, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Please delete the page. Thanks.
Somerset/Sussex squads
editThanks for your edits on the current squads of Somerset CCC and Sussex CCC, however two points; 1) you have significantly altered the format away from that used by other County Championship squads (although this is something that should be unified anyway, so I will post in WikiProject Cricket talk about it. 2) You changed Omari Banks nationality flag to Anguilla (and similar for those playing for Sussex), per WP Cricket MOS: "When listing the national team of players, if they are from a country in the West Indies, West Indies (rather than e.g., Guyana) should be used. If a player is Welsh, England, rather than Wales, should be used. If a player has yet to play for a national team, the team they are eligible to play for (and in the case of multiple eligibility, where they primarily play their domestic cricket) should be used" hence, I have reverted them to West Indies.
Kind regards, Harrias (talk) 08:28, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Your recent cricket squad edits
editG'day, I see you've been busy updated cricket squads, but some of your edits don't conform to the wikipedia guidelines or style.
- Players do not have their pages deleted if they have played any form of major cricket - first class, one day or Twenty20 for the major domestic leagues in any country. If you think a page should be deleted, then read the guidelines at WP:AFD, WP:PROD or WP:CSD, read some examples of how people nominate and reply, read what not to do in deletion debates, and follow the rules exactly. Do not just leave a message on the talk page.
- If you have concerns about a page, such as notability, verifiabilty or spelling, then either tag the article with a clean-up template or raise the issue on the talk page - but make sure you sign it by writing four tildes (~) like this ~~~~.
- Do not overwrite existing pages as you did with Sybrand Engelbrecht. Instead, start up a disambiguation page with a qualifier such as what I did with Sybrand Engelbrecht (cricketer). If you think the new page should be at the primary topic page, then that can be done by administrators if you raise the issue at WP:MOVE.
- WP:Redirects are also good for where names can be spelt in different ways.
If you have any other questions, please ask.The-Pope (talk) 11:42, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
You tagged Talk:Justin Athanaze, Talk:Shane Jeffers, and Talk:Steve Liburd for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#A1. This is clearly incorrect. These pages are not articles they are talk pages for discussion of the article, and for them to have nothing but WikiProject or other templates on them is quite normal. You have been an active Wikipedia user for over a year, and have made twenty edits to article talk pages in that time, so I'm finding it difficult to understand how could fail to recognize article talk pages for what they are. Please be more careful in the future when tagging pages for speedy deletion. Thanks --Beeblebrox (talk) 09:11, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
editHello Junius00! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Rapthi Kerkoven - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File copyright problem with File:Wayamba Elevens Logo.png
editThank you for uploading File:Wayamba Elevens Logo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Acather96 (talk) 10:48, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Chevrolet Knights.png
editThanks for uploading File:Chevrolet Knights.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:06, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Wayamba Elevens Logo.png
editThanks for uploading File:Wayamba Elevens Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
- I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
- If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

File permission problem with File:Kandurata Maroons.png
editThanks for uploading File:Kandurata Maroons.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:11, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

The article Rapthi Kerkoven has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:GNG, winner of a single beauty pageant (see WP:1EVENT) - has made any significant achievements since.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
